The location is good, being close to both Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. Sites are small for large rig with tow. Problem is electricity. The 50 amp service sites cannot handle anywhere near the quoted rating. It was hot with a lot of AC being used. If any coach drew more than 20 amps per leg, the circuit breaker blew for that section of the park! Found out they only have 100 amp breaker for every 5 sites. This is not adequate when charging and stating have 50 amp service lots. Management stated nothing they could do about the problem. They tried to move some of the larger rigs around so that not as many on one section of the park, but this really did not work since every section had numerous 50 amp rigs. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park has many longer term residents but not the typical type. It is clean, quiet and a great environment. It's convenient for exploring the entire area, from downtown Portland to the Gorge area to Mt Hood. Highly recommend it. There is some noise from airplanes and occasional trains but we hear that near most metro areas we visit. We sat outside every night. One thing we appreciated was finally seeing a park with recycling bins too. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grocery stores are very close and a gas station/convenience store down the road was great.

The park was easy to pull in/out of and located in a nice area. We have a 43 ft Class A motorhome with a tow Jeep and the spot for our tow was tight. We also experienced power outages every afternoon which was frustrating and an inconvenient. We have two furry companions and could not leave our motorhome when the temps were in the high 90s most days. The park manager did get the power turned back on but it was a daily problem. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

This rate included tax. Utilities and cable work well but need a long hose for sewer at the back of site. I usually cringe when I hear Tengo wifi upon checkin but this park has upgraded Tengo equipment and about a dozen repeaters throughout the park and the wifi was outstanding. This bumped my rating from 7 to 8. Very friendly and helpful staff. Road noise was more evident in our shaded back-in site near the road at the front of the park than it would be in the back sections and it's also in the flight path so some noise from planes, but neither were that bothersome. After all, you're in a Portland metro park, not a wilderness campground. Our site was ok, but quite close to one neighbor; truck barely fit. Most other sites, however, were nice with more room between neighbors. Great location for touring the Gorge waterfalls and close to town with every amenity you would want; convenient and close to I-84. Would return if in the area. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been to this park three times in the past and we were always satisfied. However, we had stayed on the upper level the last 3 times. We had asked to stay on the upper tier again this time, but we were told there were none available on that tier and pretty full.

When making reservations, my wife asked if we would be assigned a spot among long termers. The office person told her the long termers were interspersed throughout the park. We agreed to reservations for a week.

Beware, the lower tier is nothing like the top tier. No views, dead grass, and lots of clutter from full/long termers. The park states that no storage is allowed on the site, but the guy behind us had a dozen or more cardboard boxes in his site.

There isn't a lot of space between sites, no view of any kind, and you are jammed into a long row of rigs.

Ironically, there were several empty spots in the top tier. I'm thinking they stick people in the "cattle call" spots when they stay for more than a few days.

We were extremely disappointed and will be forced to look for another RV park next time. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is a reasonable distance from Portland. You can get a bus right outside the park, which takes you to the metro train into Portland. It's also a reasonable drive to the Columbia Gorge and the falls.

We've stayed here several times. It seems like maintenance is getting lax. Grass is dying, roses aren't as pretty as they used to be. There is grass growing in the cracks in roads and pads.

Didn't see any ants this time.

It is very convenient for our visits so. We probably will stay again though. The price is getting prohibitive. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

I want to be fair with this review, but in short, we won't come back. Pros of the park: this is a very large, nicely-landscaped park with a section in the front for transients like us; longer-termers in the back. Our site was level; Internet and Verizon was very good; location to both Portland and Columbia Gorge was excellent. Sites were a bit close, especially the pull-throughs, but we can back in, so we did, and as we were away from the road in a nice little spot, we had no complaints. You do hear some road noise and airplanes, but as was pointed out, that's because this is a major metropolitan area. The two major cons were the bathrooms, and the far-from-customer-friendly staff. While clean, there's only one stall in the men's bathroom which was very problematic for the men in the morning (there are two in the ladies room]). A comment to the office was met with "well most people use their own bathrooms". We beg to differ! Then on two other occasions we were involved with rough, and we feel rude, engagements with the office women. First, one of them came around in a golf cart at 11:20 a.m. to remind our neighbor that he was supposed to be out of his site by now. (It was a Sunday and the front part of the park was half-empty; come on!) Also, after I called in advance and asked them if they'd accept our mail (we're full-timers), they told me yes, but then when we arrived, they hadn't accepted a package. Her answer: 'we don't sign for packages' but in fact, this one hadn't required a signature! So then we had to drive 20 miles into Portland to pick up the package - a book our daughter had sent her dad for Father's Day. I'm not sure what the issue was for them denying receipt [it was an innocuous package from Amazon] but they did, and for that and the other office episodes, we won't support them any more. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

The nightly rate we paid is an average based upon two adults, two young children (they charge extra for children), background checks ($30 per adult if you want a monthly rate) and actual electricity usage (over $150 for the month due to an abnormally hot June in Portland). Our site was a level, concrete pad, pull-thru site. The grounds are very well maintained, but if you don't like rules you may not want to stay here. The rules keep the park neat and clean, but they are numerous and somewhat obtrusive. There is a small swimming pool in the park, but for the number of RV sites it needs to be significantly larger (standing room only on hot afternoons). There isn't much in the way of organized social activity at the park, if you are into that kind of thing. Our water connection was below ground level and a little unwieldy. Our sewer connection was at the very rear of our site and required two sections of sewer hose to reach it. During our stay, it was very hot (mid-90s much of the time) and the park was quite full of campers. This led to a lot of electricity demand and voltage sags that were often below 110 volts. Even though we have electrical protection in our fifth wheel, we still blew a compressor in one of our air conditioners. I am pretty sure that this was at least partially due to the high amperage we had to draw due to the low voltage conditions. The WiFi was slow (Tengo) and sometimes unavailable. There is full waste recycling available on site. The location of the RV park is excellent--about 20 minutes to downtown Portland and 20 minutes to the Columbia River Gorge. We would consider staying here again, if we were in the Portland area, but it would not be at the top of our list of RV parks. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Portland is only 20 minutes west.

The Columbia River Gorge is only 20 minutes east.

Mount St. Helens is 2 hours north.

Astoria, Oregon is 2 hours northwest.

A relatively large urban campground with asphalt access roads (mostly single lane) and mostly level concrete sites with grass and some shade picnic table. Mostly good big rig manueverability but some care is required on some turns on the access roads and to avoid the lights on inside corner turning into pullthrus. Very limited space for toad hookup when leaving (and maneuvering in the campground with a toad in tow can be tight). Mostly quiet for an urban park - some road noise, some train noise, some plane noise (we were in the middle so not next to the road, not next to the tracks). Power ok even under load (110v during a heat wave with the park mostly full), water ok 60 psi, sewer ok. Wifi is tengo with good signal and decent speed (for tengo) most of the time. Verizon was 3 bars with ok speed. Sat access ok most sites. Full recycling on site. We will stay here again. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Good transit access (45-60 min to downtown Portland) with a bus stop 100 ft west of park entrance. Buy a day pass on the bus (equivalent of 1 round trip fare).

We only stayed one night on our way through Portland. This park is large and it has three levels. All pads are concrete and landscaped beautifully. They even have a paved spot to park your tow vehicle. It have easy access to the interstate. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We took s quick side trip to see Multnomah Falls. It is so beautiful there. There are other falls in the area as well so you make a day of it if you have the time.

I might have given this park five stars in all categories if the staff would have been a bit friendlier. As far as the park, it's pretty noisy with a busy road right outside and the airport nearby. One has to remember though that this is a major metropolitan area (Portland) and not the wilderness. The facilities were spotless and well-maintained. Spaces were a bit close together, but level. All in all a nice park. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautifully maintained park. Roads are paved and sites are concrete. Spaces designed to handle big rigs with a spot to park your tow vehicle. Good spacing between sites comprised of grass. Lots of trees and bushes throughout the park but neatly trimmed so they do not impact the rigs. Park is on three levels so if you want to use your satellite dish you need to mention it when making reservation as they do have spaces that are satellite friendly. Some road noise if you are on the top level and there is some airplane noise as the park is near the take off route from a nearby municipal airport and in the landing pattern for Portland International. We noticed the noise but it was not constant and was not noticeable in the rig. Wi-Fi is free and worked OK during our stay. It is Tengo so it is a little slow and your data usage is monitored to throttle you if you use to much. Easy access to the interstate and close to downtown Portland. They offer monthly rates but no weekly rates. Excellent park to stay when in the Portland area. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A bit expensive but not many choices in the Portland area. Easy access on/off I-84. For a large park, lots of green spaces. Good Wi-Fi, easy in/out for big rigs. Good base for exploring Portland. Right on bus system, shopping and gas nearby. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very large park. Nice landscaping and clean. We stayed in the area near the office, during midweek. There was some street noise, but not too disturbing. Staff is helpful, just be sure to follow the rules and you will have a good stay. Easy to find and easy off and on the freeway. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
