This park is definitely well taken care of and has very nice grounds all well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful and does a good job of keeping an eye on things.

The downside is for the distance from Portland and just overall the area, the price is very very high. I would expect for this price far more amenities - although I would not really want them. What I would expect is to pay $35/night for this park. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I think this would be a nicer park for people who live here. It is huge. So it appears, the one-nighters (us) are put close to the entrance. Back in the park I think is quieter. Where we were it was loud from the road and people in general with their music. Also, lots of people with dogs (we love dogs) but lots of barking. It was almost comical that no attempt was made to quiet various dogs on the part of owners. Huge RVs here and lots of little dogs. The fitness building is not for us runners that plan to get in a treadmill run. It is a fitness room for older people and has very old equipment. No treadmill. The front desk people were nice enough but didn't really seem like happy people. It is very clean on the grounds and the children enjoyed the pool. The pool is small but still normal sized by most RV park standards. The people and feel of the place seemed a little unfriendly in general. Lots of big trucks driving through, fast, and with music. No friendly waving. So in summary, fine for an overnight. But I wouldn't stay here more than a day and wouldn't stay again probably. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Portland traffic is HORRENDOUS during rush hour. Plan accordingly. We were going south to north east across / around city at 3-4ish in the afternoon. HUGE MISTAKE after a long trip. We are used to big cities and traffic too. Also, Portland drivers seem to kind of loosely adhere to traffic laws in the city.

Very large park with amenities and activities. Pool, spa, workout room, laundry. All services good, nice grounds, friendly campers, lots of full timers with large rigs. Some long term, but all very clean and well kept. Plenty of rules but made it a nice stay. Rate is high, but so is demand at high season. Close to the Gorge, and Portland pretty quiet, although will hear air traffic and train now and then but not a problem from our site. Can also hear auto traffic. Site is not roomy, but doable with truck and MC in site. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camping World is close, as are big box stores. Nice park close, Blue Lake Park, and access to Columbia River. 20 minutes downtown without traffic. Avoid rush hour and holiday traffic as can be pretty bad in and around Portland.

Great staff, they have activities nearly every day. Water Aerobics, line dancing, & Karoke and more! I have really enjoyed my stay. The personnel in the office are efficient and friendly, they get you in and out quickly so you can get hooked up. All sites are pretty flat so not a lot of leveling issues. Unhooking of toad is easy due to the relatively flat and straight roads. People (campers) mind the rules of quiet time, doggy rules and pool rules. There is no skate boarding, hover boarding or that type of activity allowed due to the vehicular traffic (safety concerns); bicycles are ok. Some campers are placed right next to the train tracks which is pretty noisy, but if you stay a while, you don't even hear it. Sounds like the ocean. (Good news, no train horns, :D ). The RV park area is very large and very well maintained. I have stayed here numerous times and it is my favorite park in the area. Call far in advance to get your reservations. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

The sites at this park are tight. They gave us Site 70 which just fit the length of our 45 ft coach, except we could not open the door because of an untrimmed tree. The rudest manager I have met in years informed me that they were busy and there was nothing he would do to rectify the problem. Eventually he did move us to Site 71 which does have a trimmed tree. Concrete pad is just wide enough for your wheels. Towed vehicle must be parked beside your rig and with slides it is difficult to get the driver side door open. Sites are so tight for larger rigs that trucks are sticking out in the street. It is very busy and I recommend reservations. Park is clean & well located. Our site was mostly dirt; no grass. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is extremely well kept and a good location for visiting Portland. The sites are a little tight....the lamp post doesn't help.... with cars being parked next to the rig, which is close to many slides. But we got it to work. We were parked across from the dog walk area and that was convenient for us. Verizon cell and air card worked well, as did all the utilities. We were able to get satellite from our space. Pads are paved, as well as the street so it stays nice and clean. The staff in the office was very friendly. We have stayed here before and will stay again. Tips for other Campers:

Walmart is on the same road a couple miles to the east. The suburbs in the area offer plenty of shopping and conveniences. We took the Blue Line light rail into Portland. It was inexpensive and much more relaxing than driving. We got on in Gresham.

Pros: easy access to freeway, walmart and other grocers nearby, close in to Portland, sites concrete, level, good landscaping and well maintained. Cons: on one side RR tracks, other side busy roadway, above is flight path to Portland airport. Cable and wi-find terrible, good antenna recept. Things quiet down pretty much at night. By 5-6 a.m. "permanent" residents go to work in their diesel trucks and on motorcycles and air and road noise picks up. Only a couple of trains a day. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Might want to ask for a site more in middle of park for more quiet. We were just in from busy road and on main street through park. I think they try to keep short timers (we were there a week) up closer to road.

A little nervous booking this place after reading some of the reviews (power issues, too tight with toad, train noise, unpleasant interactions with staff, etc.). We experienced none of that! I called to change our reservations from a 3-nt stay to 2-nt, making sure that that last night would fall in their 72-hr cancellation time frame. No problem. We came in on Memorial Day and were invited to a potluck, where we met some nice folks who live there and ate some good food! The park is nicely landscaped with grass and flowers everywhere. We were in the upper section, which I'd probably recommend to get away from potential train noise (we only saw one train go by and really couldn't even hear it), since some of the lower sites do look to be VERY close to the train tracks. We had just enough room for our toad next to our rig on the paved pad. It's a little tight but should be doable, as long as you park your rig with that in mind. Price a bit high but that's because of location! We would stay here again if in the area - great jumping off spot for the gorgeous Gorge (and they didn't tell us that we're unacceptable because of our G shep mix, like the Sandy Riverfront unapologetically did!!). We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here a few times but the price has certainly gotten out of hand for what it is. Grounds are kept nice, utilities are fine even though during one stay there was power issues during a couple hot summer days. We made reservations this time over a month ago and requested a site on the upper lot to stay away from train noise but when we checked in where were we put.. 50 yards away from the train track in the lowest section!! We were told a rally booked all the upper sites a year ago, my question is why we were not told that when we made the reservations. During one stay the park manager knocked on our door and almost accused us of letting our dog poop in the grass on the drivers side of our rig NEWS FLASH, WE DON"T HAVE A DOG!! It's a ok place to base from and tour the area but we will go out of our way to never stay here again. $50 to be parked by a train track and in the approach pattern to the airport, very poor gym, weak if any wifi, in MY opinion a care less give a crap office crew equals never coming back. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice, well-located park up the Columbia from Portland. There is easy access to the river sites and waterfalls. The campground is very large with many long termed but this is not an issue. It is located between a heavily used highway and an infrequently used railroad. It is also on the landing patten for the airport although the planes are high over the campground. If you are lucky enough to be far from the road, you will be happy, if not, run your AC all the time. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This s a huge RV park! The sites are well cared for, easy to navigate, very inviting. The staff is very busy, thus not quite as individually attentive as you might find at smaller RV parks. While we were there the cable was not working, and appeared to have been inoperative for a while...which they should have told us as it would have saved us problem solving time. The reception via antenna was good though. The traffic noise was not noticeable and we were close to road. The restrooms are by the pool, very clean. The ones inside the clubhouse (which you must go through) are permanently closed, but those outside off the pool are open and very clean. The access procedure's a bit cumbersome. Has to be done twice, once to get into the clubhouse and again to get into the bathrooms by the pool. And you really need to follow the directions above the lock or it won't work. The pool is quite small for a park of over 400 sites, but very clean. Other than pricing being a bit steep, our other negative was the odour experienced when the wind was coming from the direction of what we suspect was a water treatment plant. It wasn't always there, but when it was it was unpleasant. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large clean and well maintained park which is convenient to Portland and the surrounding area. Friendly and helpful check-in staff. The only negative (and it's not really that) comment, they have an absolute no refund policy if your stay is shorter than you anticipated/paid for as ours turned out to be.

We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you want to stay near Portland this is a good choice. We have stayed here a couple of times. In the upper area there are lots of very nice rigs. Lots of very nice people stay here. In fact walking around with my dog and greeting and meeting the good group of folks around me might be the best attribute of this park. Far far better than the next park we stayed at. When we stayed here last week there were a total of 10 RVillage members in the park.

On the other hand sites are tight for large rigs and especially for large rigs with tow. I had to move my Jeep to be able to use my basement slide outs fully. We found the utilities very good. It was very hot during our stay and a couple of times our total amps draw was about 60 and we did not blow the circuit. It is also fairly noisy here. Trains, planes, and traffic noise.

We needed to use a Kaiser medical facility when we were in the area and that is only about a 9 mile drive. And we found two leash free dog parks 7 miles away. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.
