This park will not take RVs over ten years old and you must present proof that your RV is 10 years old or less. No exceptions. I witnessed people with very nice RVs being sent away for this reason. I watched one middle age couple with a new truck and silver trailer turned away when the park was near empty. Yet through out the park there are rigs from 70's, 80's and 90's So what about truth in advertising? Do not call yourself a resort and collect resort fees when your pool and little hot tub is closed 8 months of the year. We are talking a family size pool and 6 person hot tub for 400 sites Do not call yourself a resort when tanker trains lumber by every hour or so all hours of the day or night. You are not a resort when military planes fly over so loud you cannot talk to your partner. Pretty flowers and nice landscaping will not help you sleep at night. You are not a resort when you can hear your neighbor cough from inside his rig. You are not staying in a resort when your neighbors have storage sheds, and multiple vehicles parked on tight sights. You are not a hospitable, family friendly, resort when there is no playground and the dog walk is along the rail road tracks. Recognize that this is a city RV park however it is still 30 to 40 minutes outside Portland central. The RV park is in a more industrial area so there is no walking to the wal mart or to the train to go into the city. Sandy Blvd, just past the RV park, frequently has abandoned looking trailers parked along it. In short this is not a resort, it is a very over priced suburban parking lot with a few flowering bushes. Due to our experience here we will never stay at another exclusionary Encore "resort" again. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check road and trail conditions before venturing into Columbia River Gorge & Falls area which was devastated by fires. There is a AAA travel office in the Fred Meyer shopping plaza in Wood Village. AAA staff very enthusiastic and helpful. Fred Meyer(Kroger) has gas points. There is a c spray park, beach and playground which is crowded on summer weekends but great during week 2 miles away, Blue Lake Regional Park, $5 entrance fee.

Office staff was friendly and helpful. No problem pulling Travel trailer into site. Lighted post at each site. Excellent large laundry (2)! The pool is very small and closed because of ashes from nearby fires. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here one night and will not stay again. When we arrived at our site there was litter all over and broken glass on the picnic table ( which also had not been cleaned in ages and had a broken plank). When I complained to the campground host she just shrugged. I persevered and someone was sent to clean up, but I had to be assertive about how much we had paid to get any results. Although other sites were empty we were put into one backing onto a very busy road. A newbie RVer in a site close by had some problems. We helped them out. The host came over and just sat and watched while we did so. All she did was tell them they had to move their car! This place looks good, with the trees, but all the best sites are taken by long-term tenants. If you want somewhere for a short stay look elsewhere. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nicely maintained park with great landscaping and well maintained grass. If spending a while, I'm sure it would be lovely. But, if you're traveling south/north, and this is simply an overnight stay (and hope to avoid unhooking your tow) look elsewhere. If you have a 40' rig, with vehicle in tow, plan to unhook at the registration station. While making the turn onto our designated street, we had to ask the occupant of the first site to bring in their awning so we could make the turn while barely missing the truck parked across from them. When we pulled into our pull thru site, the car was still in the street. Yes, there was a nice parking pad right next to our site but, again, the whole idea of picking this park was so we would not have to unhook our tow. It would have been nice if the staff had suggested we unhook before proceeding into the park. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Must disconnect your tow vehicle, the pull thru sites are only about 50' long. Not a good choice if you're 40'+, with car in tow, and this is simply an overnight stop.

We were very disappointed by the customer service at this park. We booked it to be able to be close to Portland and use the pool. We have a 15 month old and were looking forward to taking him swimming. We were in the pool for 10 minutes before the manager came out and yelled at me that children who are not potty trained are not allowed in the pool. I informed her that he had swim pants on, but she said it did not matter. Although I do think this rule is unreasonable, and not family friendly, the way it was enforced is what I have the biggest issue with. We told them when we booked we have a toddler in our party, I think we should have been informed then of the rule, and then we could decide if we wanted to pay the $60 per night rate or not.

The park was clean, although the pool area and club room were both small and dated. The laundry room was nice, with several washers and dryers and you could use your credit card instead of quarters for the machines which I liked. The wifi was also good, although we were in the front, so I'm not sure about any where else in the park. This is a large RV park and we did enjoy riding our bikes around it. It was also close to Portland. We would not choose to stay here again simply because of the lack of customer service. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Portland Saturday market was just a 20 minute drive, and a nice way to spend the morning people watching. The Chinese Gardens in downtown are walking distance from the market, and definitely worth a visit!

This park has labeled itself as a resort, even charges a $4.00 per night resort fee. I'm not clear what could possibly be considered resort in this facility. The pool is old, outdated and very small. The cg is 80% fulltime residents, although seem to be fairly neat. HUGE complaint....we lost power one afternoon and after it was restored they told my husband to only use one of the 3 a/c in our 45' rig because too many people on the grid were running too much power. We paid for 50amp service and it seems to me we should be able to be comfortable. It's hard to cool a rig this size with one air! Sites are close and we had to put the mirrors in on our tow vehicle just to be able to make it fit. We had a pull thru but we had no room for tow vehicle without unhooking. We would not return. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

As mentioned in other reviews, they are now calling this park a resort. The only resort item we saw was a very small pool. The WiFi and cable were good. The sites were clean, but very tight for both the 5th wheel and pickup. We stayed here years ago and thought it was worth the money at that time. Now they are way overpriced. With a Good Sam discount, we still payed $61.00 a night. Over the past 6 years, we have vacationed in all 48 states in some beautiful RV resorts and have never paid close to $61 per night. We will not stay here again. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Checked in for the third time for 6 days. This property is now owned by Encore/Thousand Trails. We have enjoyed our stays while in this resort. It is usually clean and the grounds are decent. We were a little frustrated this last visit. First thing is they raised their daily rate. That does have to happen. They also have a daily resort fee. I am the first person in line to stay at a resort and we do stay and own lot's in a couple of resorts. So I do have experience. There is a pool here although very small. Unfortunately, they don't keep it heated year round. So that amenity is not available. There are restrooms and laundry. We have no need for them so I cannot comment. Although, that's really not a resort amenity unless they are more luxuriously appointed then any other RV park, not just clean. The grounds are maintained. However, we got to our space with dirt, grass clippings and two heavy picnic tables were in our way. We did have to move them ourselves. The drives are so narrow your door stairs come out onto grass and clippings. No mats allowed. Not very resort like. Interested in wifi? Not here unless you want to pay for it. You do get a free hour to check it out. They do have cable and so do all RV parks. We are right next to the main road a highway. There isn't a dog park, just sort of a dog walk with no waste receptacle or bags. We still haven't figured out what the resort fee covers. Or is it a way around Portland's rent control? The site we occupied had excellent satellite reception. The pads are concrete with available parking for your tow vehicle and some grass between sites. The interior roads are paved with asphalt which is crumbling in places. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have always liked this park it is close to all we like to do in the Portland area. However- this park has been bought by Thousand Trails - they have increased nightly rates and have added a $4 daily "Resort Fee" WiFi does not connect. 1 small hottub for 400 sites. Pool not open. If they are going to charge for resort services at least offer something. For this reason we will not stay here again. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here every January for 9 out of the last ten years. This year they've added a surcharge of $4 because we are staying less than 30 days! The wifi would not connect (Tengointernet reported a problem) and the cable TV was so "snowy" it was almost unwatchable. We won't be back. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy to find from I-84 with friendly and helpful staff. Paved streets and sites. Had long pull-thru site with space for my toad. All utilities worked well and properly located. Some plane noise, train and traffic noise, but not a problem. Only stayed one night while passing through the area. The grounds were very clean and well kept. This is a large park with a big monthly section in the back. Understand the park was just purchased by Encore a couple of months ago. Would stay here again when in the area. This is a stop we have made before. It is convenient to the Columbia Gorge, Portland, Gresham, and Wood Village. This park is enormous, but you aren't aware of how big it is because it is very spread out. Spaces are a good size. There is a little road noise, but not a problem. Walmart is right down the road. Paddlewheel Steamer out of Cascade Locks has a great brunch. Good food at Multnomah Falls Lodge. Camping World at the exit to Wood Bridge. Columbia River Gorge is right there, and Highway 30 has all the waterfalls and Vista House, which has amazing views of the Gorge. Portland is 20 minutes away.

This park is Way too expensive. The best thing about it was the proximity to Portland. We had a small, tight spot. WiFi would not connect (but our Verizon broadband signal was strong). We did not use the restrooms or laundry room. Before we chose this park I read many reviews online and by far the most consistent comment was how rude the front desk staff was. We didn't really find them rude but you should not have any expectations for being welcomed as a valued customer. At best the staff is humorless and indifferent. We won't stay here again - will seek out a happy place next time. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean, quiet and well managed park just outside Portland with convenient bus transportation into Portland if one chooses rapid transit. It is conveniently located near Sandy and the highway to Redmond and Bend, Oregon. If you are like us and really need Wi-Fi, this Park's system is both confusing and marginal for pick up. If you are an Apple device user, this system is not the best. We have downgraded this park purely based on the less than adequate Wi-Fi system.
