Sites are fairly large but our 40' MH and tow just fit into the site we were given. They need to do some branch trimming so help avoid scratching your rig and car. Their wifi was good but NO CELL SERVICE - not even Verizon worked. Their cable is also broken as we were told "someone ran over their cable box". Host was very nice. We probably would not stay here again. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

NOTE: This campground is only available to those who are active members of a Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks lodge. The campground I am rating is the one on Mercer Lake Road, about 2 miles north of town, with 38 sites. Ten of those sites are pull-throughs. There is another set of sites in town at the Elks Lodge itself, but we didn't stay at that one. The only reason this campground got a 9 instead of a 10 is because the Wifi is pretty weak. However, they are in the midst of having a new Wifi company set up in the campground, which should give much better coverage. Where to start? Beautiful campsites with lush, green trees in between each site affording great privacy. No fenced in dog run but a great grassy area to walk dogs to do their "business." Restrooms are AMAZiNGLY clean. Three stalls plus one big shower. Sites have water and 50 amp electrical service. One site has sewer, otherwise you take your rig to one of the two dump sites - easily accessible. The camp host and co-host are wonderful! Very friendly and very helpful with answers to about anything! There is a "rec room" with TV, books, videos and even a kitchen which is available to all. There are tables and chairs outside and SOMETIMES (if you have Verizon) you can get cell service if you're near the fountain there! :) All in all, we LOVE this campground. In fact, we cancelled a second campground in the area (after touring around THAT campground, we weren't about to move out of the Taj Mahal to a condo!), and extended our stay here. In fact, we'll be back in July to stay for a few more days! I'll update if the cell service improvements have been realized. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Another great Elks campground. The back-in sites are surrounded by natural plantings. They're level, wide and long with plenty of room to maneuver. E/W only with dump station available. Utilities were well placed and worked as expected. Easy Direct TV set-up. Helpful and friendly staff. We've been here before and will return again. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the nicest Elks Lodge RV facilities we have seen. Unlike most Elks, where you stay in a parking spot behind a lodge in town, this is actually an RV park for Elks members only, about 5 miles north of the Town of Florence. It has back-in and pull-through sites, plenty of shade and room between sites. There are plantings between sites to provide privacy. The showers & restroom are spotless and the grounds are well maintained. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The sites have only water & electric hookups, but there are 2 convenient dump stations on the grounds. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Town Florence is charming and has lots of great shops and restaurants for strolling around. We were here in July and the mornings were calm, but the winds kick up in the afternoons. Fred Meyer's grocery is convenient to the Elks RV park.

Florence Elks club have 2 RV Parks, one at the Elks Lodge and a park like setting approximately 3 miles north of Lodge. We stayed at the RV park north of town Nice campground with clean bath rooms and showers. The park hosts were the best. They are very friendly and tried to meet any of your needs. I had RV problems and even though they were full, the hosts made sure I had a space for the three extra days it took to get my RV fixed. Wifi was good with our booster antenna. Park has a cell phone amplifier at clubhouse so you can use cell in the lodge only. The clubhouse also has a landline available for local calls which really helped. Each spot have bushes dividing sites. Dog friendly. Most sites can get satellite reception. We would stay there again. The one drawback was that did not have sewer at site. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Sites not close to being level. Cable tv present but not usable. One needs to get a cable box from the lodge which has very limited hours. Tried three boxes each one with an error message saying the service has been interrupted. No host available. All sites are in a parking lot with view of the back of lodge and garbage bins. Ok for one night. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Two lighthouses in the area. Downtown historic district has a few interesting buildings and scenic views of the bridge and marina area. Many restaurant choices and Cobblestone Pizza has good pizza but the store is hard to find. There is a large Fred Meyer supermarket and a Super Walmart. Walmarts are scarce in Oregon which is probably a good thing.

Overall Rating:

This campground is for Elks members only. We appreciated the privacy of the graveled sites that were separated by tall trees. There is no sewer but they provide a couple of dump stations. Shore power is 50 amps with water. The staff is friendly and provides a cell booster near the front office. We were barely able to get one bar on our Verizon cell phones but the park wifi was fast, albeit it a little unreliable. The seaside town of Florence is five miles away and neighboring Heceta Beach is great for long walks. We also visited South Jetty off of Highway 101 which has over 40 miles of beautiful sand dunes. We were here in September and experienced a lot of fog which is typical in this area. We loved the park and would definitely return. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Nice campground, within a few miles of town. Nice facilities and very clean. The roads are a bit dusty, however. Over air TV is limited. Park has a cellphone amplifier at clubhouse so you can use cell. The clubhouse also has a landline available for local calls. They have 2 dump stations. Although they don't advertise sewer connections, the space next to us had a sewer for $2/night additional. We would stay here again. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Decent lodge RV parking. No cable, but like 17 stations on regular antenna. Closest dump is located at the other Florence Elks RV park about 7 miles away located in the country. Great Chinese restaurant just a couple of miles north of the lodge, called Chen's Family. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Wish there were more Elks campgrounds like this, not just lodge parking lots. A nice set-up in the woods, 5 miles from town. Verizon cell and air card didn't work, but park has decent, unsecured Wi-Fi. Cable TV was a bit disappointing: only the networks, no cable stations. Very nice bathroom except for just one, busy shower. Some pull-through sites; mostly back-ins, not very level. Call for reservations, and come early to see your site. We got stuck with a crappy one, though others were empty. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

This park is tough to beat. You must be an Elk in good standing or traveling with an Elk to stay here. The park is beautiful, has blazing fast WiFi, a limited number of cable TV channels, new showers and restrooms and two dumps. Our Verizon barely worked here. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Travel Trailer.
