This is a nice little park for the area with landscaping. If you have pets, be aware there is NO grass and a very small dog run. The park staff was super nice. Even though we had a pull thru, it would not accommodate our tow but the staff had a very convenient place for tow. The roads are tight if you have a 45' rig, but doable. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Loved Sea lion caves $$ but it's a hike. Sea lions can really only be seen with binoculars. Better view is in downtown Newport if your travels take you there.

Wide level pull-through sites. Park is quiet and located near grocery shopping, beaches and Old Town. Easy in and out for large rigs. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights for to see some attractions in the area. The park is a short drive from US 101 (42nd St) along a city street. It is located in town close to services. The interior roads are concrete. They are narrow with parked vehicle encroachment & tight turns making maneuvering larger RV's a little challenging. There is a mixture of back-ins & P/T's sites. Didn't see any of P/T sites that were long enough to stay connected to a toad. The RV sites are narrow & there isn't much distance between the sites but there was sufficient room to open slides. The parking pads are concrete. This park seems to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were generally level and flat. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. The sewer connection was above ground making it difficult to establish a downhill flow depending on discharge point. Our site was too narrow to have an outside table. A line of vegetation established privacy between the sites but the vegetation encroached on site width. Site orientation allowed RV's to cast shade onto the patio side. There were quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. The park brochure listed 60 cable channels but made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any OTA channels. The park provided WiFi was password protected with adequate reception. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception. The designated fenced pet area was small with a gravel surface. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste at the pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads & the adjacent residential streets.Make reservations as it is a small park We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Have been "full time RVing" for 13 years. This is one of our favorite parks we have stayed in. The Park is not just clean, it is IMMACULATE. The showers are like being in a 5 star hotel (seriously). The staff and owner are outstanding and will make your stay one of warmth and comfort. Be sure to call ahead....because they get busy due to their reputation. They also have an excellent dog run and is nice and quiet. You won't be dissapointed!! We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little old downtown area with shops and restaurants. North of RV park is a Glass Blower with reasonable prices. On left side of road if you are going north. Heceta Lighthouse also north of park.

This is our go to destination when we come to Florence. The staff is always eager to assist. The sites are level and concrete driveways. So many nice rhododendrons throughout the park. Showers are nicely tiled and clean. Highly recommend! We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Travel Trailer.

Free coffee every morning with some nice people in rec hall. Park was nice and clean and everything worked as expected. Quite even though it was close to town and beaches. Sites are easy to get into and out of. I would stay here again. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in area from riding the dunes on four wheeler or horse back to hunting agates on nearby beaches (found many beautiful gem quality stones). Shopping and restaurants nearby. Whales watching was great up and down the coast. A trip to Sweet Creek Falls Trail head is highly recommended. It just doesn't get any better than this trail. Overall great stay.

Managment is totally service-oriented. Entire park is concrete, except for landscape at each site. Maintenance is flawless ( I even saw them vacuum leaves from sidewalk cracks). Internet is good. Cable TV is analog, but good. There are many full-timers, but you'd never know it...no junk around units. Park is centrally located to tourism and shopping. Security code is required for entry. We are most impressed! We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Spent Summer (July/Aug/Sep) 2016 here. Concrete pads were level with well maintained vegetation separating the sites. Limited overflow parking. The access roads can get crowded with everyone parking in front of their 5ers, but the long-term residents are friendly and more than willing to move if you need to get in/out. Restrooms are small but clean and well kept. Good selection of cable channels. Friendly and accommodating staff. Picnic tables are not kept at the sites, but are free and delivered upon request. Monthly rate was $750+elec and I thought it was worth it. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

No frills, perfect park. All concrete with rock, shrubs and trees in between sites. Fairly close together but very easy in and out. Very clean. Decent Wifi early in the day. I would stay for longer if in the area again. If you want a secure, clean park for exploring the area, you can't beat this one. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

A very decent place to stay for a few days, but certainly not a destination. A clean park with all concrete sites and driveways with some very pretty landscaping between sites. Most sites seemed to be filled with long-term residents and look short for big rigs. Full hookups with good Verizon coverage and satellite tv. You are only about 1/2 block away from the highway, so there is some significant road noise. We didn't find a lot to do in the Florence area, but for a dreary rainy weekend, this is a great spot to stop and catch up on laundry. We wanted to wash the rig while here, but apparently, that is not allowed; although for some reason, it is allowed if you hire their handyman to do it. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Old town Florence is very touristy, but an interesting walk with some cool old buildings. Lots of shopping nearby if you need to stock up on groceries. The sand dunes are certainly worth a visit, but we were not overly impressed with the area.

Florence is a quaint little historic town. Old town has many shops and excellent restaurants. The "dunes" are not far.
