We were here for three days with a large group. This is a very old, worn down, poorly maintained park. The managers are understanding, but the owners apparently could care less. Over half of the park are permanents in various stages of disarray. The weekenders keep their sites relatively clean, but the remainder are full of junk with many covered by torn tarp. We lost electrical power twice during our stay and the WiFi is poor. There are potholes in the interior roads and mud at the sites. If you need a place to stop for the night, maybe, but don't bother to hookup. We camped at The Old Mill in a Motorhome.
The museum in Garibaldi is a gem, don't miss it. There is also a Bakery across 101, which has the most delicious pastries.

We didn't stay here, we drove through and stopped in at the office for a few minutes. We didn't see anything which would improve the 2012 reviews. There are ocean views (actually views of a bay), but very few of the sites have them. The best ocean views are from a nice grassy dry camping area. There seems to be lots of long term residents in the full hookup sites. Not really trashy, but not very neat either. We camped at The Old Mill in a Motorhome.Undo

This campground is old and tired. Rate is based on group caravan. My site was supposed to have 50 amp but the plug was removed. Wi-Fi was OK for me. The coach next to me went to dump and the camp sewer line was plugged. Not pretty. We camped at The Old Mill in a Motorhome.Undo

Price reflects a group caravan and the actual price was included. This is a busy, dusty, and very crowded campground with no apparent organization to the camp sites. They seemed to just cram sites wherever they could. Sites were also poorly marked. Sites were 30 amp and mostly back in. Interior roads dirt/gravel and very tight. Not a good campground for big rigs. Poor Wi-Fi connection. We camped at The Old Mill in a Motorhome.Undo

We had high hopes because the surrounding country is very scenic. The park is large and has lots of various site types. The hookups were old but worked OK. Our site area for travel trailer was not very level-lots of dips and mounds. Some other loops had more level sights. The bathrooms/showers were dirty and in need of repair. The office was to open at 10 AM but we waited until 10:40, nobody showed so we left inserting a note in the door for follow up contact. No response. We would not stay here again unless we were desperate. We camped at The Old Mill in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Old park, pretty run-down. Notices out that it is under new ownership, and is supposedly being renovated, but there's a lot remaining to be done. A lot of the electric poles were leaning or damaged and the water tasted rusty. Park is centrally located, with restaurants, shopping, wharf "trolling", etc. available. Grassy sites, pretty muddy during our visit. A considerable portion of the park was closed off, perhaps due to ground water saturation. Wide spaces, plenty of privacy, some pull-throughs. A pretty good view, but wharf activity was noisy with heavy equipment, chainsaws, diesel engines and so forth. We camped at The Old Mill in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We have stayed here many times over the past. The place used to have a very nice large pool. They filled it in - so that's gone. Playground is really just a swing set and a see-saw (nothing more). Gravel sites. Current price is OK - but not worth paying any more! Drinking water appeared to have rust or something in it last time we used it. Recommend a screen. They tend to "mess" up reservations and double book on spots. But, usually plenty of room if you gotta move to something else. Don't stay toward the back of the park - hit the middle - everyone else goes for the back of the park! Place also no longer has the marina - they closed it - probably because the small area of the bay is too shallow and needs dredged. New owners took over it and I guess trying to fix things - but seem more of just cutting costs then fixing. Not really impressed and per our last visit - was not really wanting to come back. Big field for tents in middle of place. Some fire rings. It is nice for its location to another close marina for crabbing, etc. Steam engine also is right in front of the park that runs between the two summer holidays - fun to take the family on a small trip. Park seen better days but not the worse thing out there. We camped at The Old Mill in a Travel Trailer.Undo
