17 Parks near Glide, Oregon
Jul 2011 - $10.00
Forest Service C.G. about 34 miles East of Glide, on Hwy 138. Along N. Umpqua river. No water available (other than river water) so bring your own. Vault toilets, no showers. Great hiking, fishing, and rafting. I would stay here again. - SteveE
Jun 2016 - $25.00
We have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. Easy, friendly, and the river is just across the highway (which can be a little noisy but not bad). No cable and cell / satellite is spotty but just adds charm. We will continue to stay here in the future. - G Hall
Jul 2015 - $25.00
Rabbits and geese everywhere. Rabbits were not much of a problem and more like an advantage if you like animals. Rabbits are friendly and you can hand feed and pet some. Geese make a hell of a mess wherever they are but they are wild. Geese are the biggest issue and ponds are scummy.
Worst part was gunfire from neighbors and the owners son and another started shooting rabbits in the park. NOT ACCEPTABLE, this is supposed to be a family friendly park! Claimed they were a health hazard however mother nature and the predators seemed to keep the numbers in tact. Rabbits are free to take if you want one or two as pets. Just someone wanting to kill something. I will never stay here again due to the gun issue. I support gun use but not in a family park. - FishBait_3
May 2015 - $21.00
Level, gravel sites with easy access. Long term residents are in outside lots on each end of park. New log cabin bathroom with nice showers and laundry facility. Quiet park with very little road noise from Umpqua Hwy. Right along the river so this is a nice place to stay if you want to hike around the river or fish. Park is filled with domestic rabbits that are everywhere. If you have dogs, it will drive them crazy. Park also has about 30 geese that poop all over the grass, so we ended up with goose poop all over our shoes and trailer floor. Two horses are fenced in various areas, so if you have kids and want to stay at a "petting zoo" this is the place for you. Wi-Fi is reasonable, but only works if you stand out near the office. - CaTrekker
Mar 2015 - $10.00
We were the camp hosts in 2013 and our host site was full hookup at the entrance by the large parking lots. The campground has no hookups but has water available, is treed, runs by a creek with swim holes, has clean vault toilets, a few pull-through sites, all tent or small camper and beautifully forested. There are several trails to hike, flush toilets near the entrance, a playground for kids, a big pavilion with electricity and water that can be rented and Rangers and hosts that care about their campers and their safety. Wonderful place to camp for a weekend or for the full week. - PERRELLAS
Jul 2013 - $10.00
Beautiful shaded small family campground with level sites and vault toilets, flush toilets near-by, and water available at several faucets around the campground. Swimming hole, walking paths, hiking paths, playground, picnic tables throughout the grounds and in each campsite. Handicap accessible sites and toilets, no showers, dog friendly but they must be kept on a leash. Firewood available, fire pits at each site, friendly and helpful hosts. We boon docked near-by as our RV was to big to fit into the campground. - PERRELLAS
Jun 2016 - $17.00
The rate reflects the discounted weekly rate. One of the friendliest Escapee Parks we have encountered, everyone waves and greets you as you pass on the streets. Very large oversized spaces with a concrete pad next to your RV. Any activities in the club house are open to all visitors with a warm welcome. - Dick & Bev
Jun 2016 - $5.00
Beautiful park, nice clubhouse, friendly folks. The only thing missing was showers! The only Escapee park we've stayed in without them. - Jammmac
Nov 2015 - $18.00
Just like all of the Escapee's parks, clean, well maintained with a pride of ownership, and friendly. A short walk to the old downtown with some old shops and cafes. Wifi was great from our site, some TV channels, and good satellite reception. - LMH
Jul 2012 - $20.00
Sites not level, sites not maintained, questionable persons wandering around. I would not stay here again. Self check in and payment placed into a collection box. Stayed in a 40' motorhome and only stayed here because it was close to a relative I was visiting. - sbrown
Jun 2011 - $20.00
Sites are wide open with nice grass between them. The sites are a little off level but the little gravel in the grass keeps any mud at bay. We arrived around 3:30-4pm and had a choice of 4 pull-through sites. The Camp Host offered free tickets to the museum. Unfortunately we were only stopping over night so couldn’t use them. - zen_letitbe
May 2011 - $20.00
A nice, quiet setting, with easily maneuverable sites. A good value. Showers were usable and fairly clean. A good location to see the area. Camp host was pleasant and helpful. - paxton
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Second time stayed at this park. Good, convenient and roomy sites, not much landscaping pretty bare, but concrete pads good power and hookups. Stayed one night each time. Lots of golfers that come to play local course. Will come back and bring my clubs. - jimNann
Aug 2015 - $27.00
I'll echo the comments of the previous reviewer, and add that there's a nice golf course within steps of the RV park office. Several long-term residents, but well-kept, neat and quiet. No picnic table at most sites. - rv1guy2cats
Oct 2014 - $27.00
Nicely laid out park on a plateau above the town with fairly level concrete and asphalt sites. Friendly check in, good hookups, and strong free Wi-Fi. Although cable is advertised, it has been discontinued until a new system can be installed. Few trees, so no impedance to satellite, and Verizon cell and data were very good. Convenient to I-5, restaurants, and shopping with easy access. The reasonable price and quality of the sites makes this a good stay for overnight or extended period. We'll return again. - Meanderman
Jul 2016 - $22.00
I was able to pick plenty of fresh blackberries from the bushes on the border of the campground. The campground was clean and well-maintained. We were only sorry that we were not there on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night for the viewing on the drive-in screen! - Howard Janin
Mar 2016 - $15.00
Rate is Passport America (plus tax) for a 30 amp site full hookup site. We have stayed here many times and service is always excellent; pull-through sites are long enough that we do not need to unhook. 37 channel cable TV included. Easy to get here from I-5. Quiet, although you can occasionally hear the train or big wheeler in the in the distance. County location. Dog walk area. Good for a night or two but not if you have children as there is no pool or playground. For us it works great as a stopping point and we will stay here again. - lstaff
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Decent park but cramped. All sites are pull thru. Your neighbor's sewer is a foot away from the picnic table, making this another sewer park. Because the wind blew across we had to shut doors and windows to keep from smelling neighbors sewers.
Over all the park is nice. Some traffic noise. They keep it real clean. Dog run is grass. They said they don't charge for pets but they did charged for visitors and my child. Didn't watch the movies they played. Laundry is good and cheap.
Power did go out three times in the week we stayed here during 90+F days. Was restored within 5 minutes.
Might stay again, if they stop charging for family members. - See
Jul 2016 - $48.00
We stayed for 7 months for work purposes, and this is one of the best parks we have ever stayed in. Very professional staff and clean park. - gypsynurse15
May 2016 - $34.00
Our 5th stay at park. The park has always been clean and well groomed. New owners since Sept 2015 have been making improvements. Located in a grove of mature trees, both deciduous and conifer, about 10 minutes west of Roseburg and very near several vineyards. We think it is the best park in Roseburg. It does have a considerable population of full timers. We will stay there again. - Doug Toye
Oct 2015 - $30.00
Attended a group rally with 30 plus people, using all the facilities. Clubhouse etc. We had a great time !
Owners are new, very pleasant and accommodating.
Location is a bit off the beaten path from the freeways, but easy to get to town with stores etc.
The park is well maintained. As I said earlier, they have new owners so the store was not stocked, but I'm sure it soon will be. The clubhouse is a bit small, for more than 30 people too small. We were able to work with it because we're a group that's been together for a very long time. They do provide full kitchen facilities.
You're in an old growth crop of trees so there is plenty of tree shade in the fall lots of leaves they seem to have enough employees to be constantly touring the grounds they guide you to your parking spot and make sure that you get part correctly. As for the cable they do have free cable. It is a bit of a pain; they need to come and connect it for you in your motorhome. It's not their fault; its the satellite or the cable that they use, but they're very very nice about doing it.
Probably the nicest managers I have run into in a very long time. They have a privacy gate that locks at 9 o'clock and they are available on site at all times
We will go again . - Ginger j 33
Aug 2016 - $28.00
A very nice park, staff very helpful and friendly. Close to Wildlife Safari Park, which we enjoyed very much. The WIFI didn't reach our sight. River walk trails were very enjoyable. - snrstang
Jan 2016 - $27.00
Rising River is very well maintained. There are many extended stay guests but they maintain a portion of the sites for travelers. Very nice area in general. Right on Route 99/42, so there is a fair amount of traffic noise. At present, there is a running waiting list for "Monthly Rate" sites and they do scrutinize RVs built year 2000 and previous. - Evenstevens
Nov 2015 - $34.00
Nice older property with friendly and helpful owners. Gravel site, long enough for our 60 foot rig. WiFi is pretty good, as is the analog cable TV. Verizon and AT&T data and cell coverage are good. - Ray Waugh
