Another Oregon State park that delivers a quality product at a reasonable price. Large sites, both back-in and pull-thru are paved and most, but not all, are level. Lots of trees, green grass, and paths to walk. No cable, little OTA, and depending on the site difficult to have a clear shot to the satellites. No WiFi but good Verizon cell/data. Close to Medford and many area attractions. In any other location this park would be a 10, but the interstate noise is significant. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

This park is one of the nicest state parks we have ever stayed. I was very impressed with the pull through sites. Very pretty park. Good Verizon signal. No cable or OTA channels. Not sure about satellite. Our site was free because my husband is disabled Vet. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

29 full hookup sites $29, 55 water & electric sites $26, 14 tent sites. Bike trails, fishing, bathhouse with showers. Site B19. This park has three miles of shaded green frontage on the scenic Rogue River. The campground has six loops. Laundry facilities in C and F loops, dump station. There are ranger interpretive programs during the summer. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Horseshoe pits, volleyball court, fishing, and a boat ramp. The bike trail must just have been repaved because it was excellent. Nice campground and very busy; reservations are advised. River rafting, kayaking and jet boat tours of the Rogue River and Hellgate Canyon are nearby. This is right off Interstate 5, and The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland is within driving distance. If in the area this is a nice place to camp. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

This is an Oregon State Park, most of them are fabulous. This State Park is very noisy near the I-5 Highway and I think we would not return due to the traffic. some parts of the park are old and roads are bumpy so hard to level. The bike path and hiking path near the river are nice, but there is no access to the river, such as a beach, open area. Lots of Blackberry vines cover the banks and land area. This may be a good thing, as the river is swift and not usable for wading or swimming. Next time we will pick something quieter. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a state park that you get to by going through a rest area. It was fairly easy access in and out and provided full hook-ups at a very reasonable price. We used it as a base to visit the Redwood Forrest and Crater Lake, each about an hour and a half away. We had a pull through that was not exactly level but do-able as far as leveling is concerned. We were near the back of the first loop and did not hear any Interstate noise. I am giving it a 7 but is at least a 7.5. We would camp here again if in the area because it is a good value for $29 per night. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Difficult time to stay, region under extreme weather, ice storms, high winds. There were multiple down trees, no staff to check in, park hosts on site, but we didn't have any interaction with them. We are 45' RV w/F250 tow and additional car. We barely fit in site 90, tree next to slide, overlaps next site, but got in! Right on Rogue River, beautiful! Restrooms close by, but did not use. A little close to I5 road noise, but not a problem inside. I think it would be enjoyable in warmer weather! We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

In October there are a lot of snowbirds stopping at the Valley of the Rogue for an overnight, but even on the weekend, it never completely filled up. If you want a pull through site, you might want to get there by at least late afternoon as some of the sites are not level and will not accommodate long loads and they do fill up. Walking trails were paved and nice. Views of the mountains were wonderful. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects the OPRD disabled veterans pass reservation fee. Noisy since the park is located right next to I-5. We made a reservation for F-35 but on arrival the computer had us in F-36 but that worked even better. Strong Verizon 4g and we were able to get a DTV satellite signal using or onboard antenna. Most sites are iffy for the latter. We noticed a lot of litter in the park and our fire pit had not been cleaned at all. Same with our friends sites and on even had garbage in the pit. As ORPD volunteer's we find that perplexing. The grass in most of F-loop is very dry. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

The streets are wide enough but because they didn't cut the trees, it's tricky to drive through the park with a motor coach.
There was no grass at the sides, if you like to enjoy a BBQ outside of the camper you have only dust aroun you.
I visit the showers and the restrooms directly after somebody of the park stuff "cleaned" them and they where still dirty, only the bag in the trash can was changed.
At our side we didn't receive any TV chanels, the AT&T signal was 3 bars 4G.
For this price they have to do a better job! We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

This is another of Oregon's fine state parks. A Loop is for tent or yurt campers (with 2 additional yurts in E Loop). F Loop sites are only electric and water. B, C, D and E Loops have a total of 95 full hookup sites. We found the back-in sites in outside loops (B and D) preferable as they seemed less congested. Most have large grassy areas which are not found at the pull-through spaces. However, most sites in the full hookup areas are quite spacious. The sites closest to the highway can hear the traffic sounds during the night. There are some inconsistencies regarding the amount of shade and sunlight as well as the slant direction of the not-always perfectly level spaces. It is probably best to count on your second and subsequent stays to select your favorite places for reservations. That allows you to walk through the entire campground on the first visit to note your choices. Added features include a volleyball court, coin operated laundries available in Loops C and F, a disc golf course, good walking and bike trails, and, of course a very nice river that flows by the park. Park personnel and camp hosts are friendly and helpful. We will return. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

We spent 10 nights in D-17 in mid-July and found the campsite wonderfuland and the camp hosts delightful. Lots of little critters to watch scamper around, lots of trails to explore and close proximity to the river made for a wonderful stay. It can be hot in the valley in the summer so plan accordingly. Close to Grants Pass and Medford and the smaller sites of Gold Hill and Rogue River makes it a perfect location with plenty to do. Highly recommend. This Oregon State Park has real possibilities but also has issues. First, the positives. It's right off the I-5 freeway so access is easy. The park runs alongside the Rogue River so the scenery is beautiful. Many critters and birds abound in the park. The hosts and rangers are helpful and pleasant.

On the negative side, being a state park, it has to serve everyone. The homeless have figured out how to game the system and practically live there full time. Some seem to have figured out ways to sneak in late and leave early to evade park fees. No one caused a problem but their makeshift tents are unsightly. The freeway noise can be annoying if you're a light sleeper. At some sites, the ground squirrels have torn up the ground to the point where one could break an ankle. $26 per night for electric and water with no discount for weekly rates seems steep.

The rules seem to be guidelines and no one seems too concerned about enforcing them. People brazenly cut through others' sites and the restrooms/showers can look like a frat house bathroom. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

Lots of wineries in the area. Check out Aurora Vines in Talent.

Jacksonville is a fun town for art and eats. Gary West beef jerky is super.

Ashland is artsy without being foo-foo.

Several activities planned in the park itself. Besides river activities, the city of Grants Pass is close by. Several things to do in the city, including catching a ride on the jetboats down the Rogue River to Hellgate Canyon. Other sidetrip areas close by include Gold Hill, Medford and Ashland (home of the Shakespeare Theatre).

Stayed for three nights. This is a very nice Oregon state park. Pad was level and fit our 40' motorhome and towed vehicle easily. Our site had full hookups and all utilities were conveniently located and worked well. We backed right up to the Rogue River and you could hear the rapids at night. Conveniently located to the area attractions. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.
