Overall Rating:

We've stayed at this park numerous times over the years. Though the "resort" in the name is a little over-the-top, since there are no resort-like features. It is, however, a nicely cared for park. There are a few long-term tenants, but most spaces are held by short term visitors. Both long and short term spaces are kept clean and neat. Having failed to reach anyone via phone, I chose to place my reservation on the Internet ... and when I arrived at 4:05 PM on the day was surprised to find the office closed. (Hours are 9-4.) However, there was a printed sign on the door with my last name and assigned space. I picked up a form and envelope to pay my bill (no money was taken online) as we expected to be back on the road before the office opened in the morning. Since my Class B RV is only 22 feet, it was too bad we were assigned a 70' pull through (when I could easily have used a smaller space). This park generally fills up every night. It IS right next to the freeway (be prepared for the noise, but summer time AC requirements tend to cover the highway noise). The park is just off I-5 at exit 58, which leads into the center of the "old town" area. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try Black Bear Diner (a couple blocks down the hill on NE 6th St.) for a hearty breakfast. (Exit Jack's landing, turn right on one-way NE 7th st, immediately get in left lane and turn Left on NE Morgan Lane, then left onto NW 6th St. Black Bear Diner is on the right just past the Travelodge. (Those more physically fit than I, might find it a pleasant walk.)

We've stayed here for a month the last 5 years, but never again. They no longer offer monthly discounts for mid summer, and even though we had reservations 1 year in advance, they called us just 3 weeks before our reservation to inform us that we would not be getting the site we had reserved. And, we would be paying over twice that monthly as have in the past. With that said, we have stayed at over 250 different campgrounds over the last 5 years, and this is the noisiest of any where we have stayed. It's the only place we have ever experienced theft, and actually feel the need to lock everything up and cable our BBQ. They call themselves a resort, but even though they used to have a putting green, a weight room, used to let you wash your rigs, they have taken all of that away. So they offer less and charge more, perfect. Other than that, utilities are good and Verizon is strong and it is handy if you have to be in Grant's Pass. We are not the only people they have pulled this stunt on so beware. Never again. The roads are easy for big rigs, sites are pretty level, trees are not really an issue for slides, sprinklers are not adjusted that well, so beware of overspray. No one is a site camp host, so once the office closes there is nobody to turn to if there are problems. Close to many eateries and pubs, pretty easy off & on the freeway., nice landscaping. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights for a RV maintenance appointment. The park is close to I-5 (Exit 58) but requires negotiating busy multi lane business district streets with turns onto narrow side streets to reach the park. The park is small but appears to be well cared for, with manicured landscaping. The interior roads are paved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RVs. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and pull thrus. The parking pads are concrete. The pull thru sites were long enough to say connected to a toad. While the sites were narrow, there was sufficient room for opening slides. The park was built on a sloping hill but there was an effort to tier the sites so the park seems to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site, as the sites were generally level and flat. The back-in sites along the outer edge appeared be extended stay sites. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 amp), and sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle to back of the sites. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Most all sites had an outside table. Some sites had a metal pedestal for BBQ grills but there were no fire pits. There were quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter, so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site. The park information listed 24 channels but didn't mention anything about broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. We had made reservations so a registration packet was attached to the office door. But it didn't contain any access codes for the bathrooms, laundry room or Wi-Fi, so we were unable to connect. Our Verizon Wi-Fi hotspot worked well. So did our NET10 cell phone. There was one small designated partially fenced pet area located in a corner of the park. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great park for us and our space was pleasantly shaded. Wifi and cable worked fine. Grounds were well kept. Space was long enough for our 37' motorhome and tow car to remain hooked up. All roads were asphalt and pads were concrete. Road noise from highway was apparent, but did not disturb us at all. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Here is another park we haven't stayed at since 2009. We managed to get in for a night after the "eclipse" rush. Although the park is mostly back ins (and many of those are extended stay customers) around the perimeter of the park, we had one the dozen or so pull-through sites in the middle of the park. We did not use the cable since our satellite worked. The Wi-FI was OK fore our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms were fine. There are no recreational amenities in the park and I saw no recycling. Personally, the traffic noise from the interstate is a non-issue for us. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This campground is right on the freeway. We have stayed here before. Good overnight stop. However the park upkeep has seemed to gone down hill over the years and it appears there are mostly permanents. We would stay here again. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely park, but got no sleep due to I-5 freeway noise. Left the next morning exhausted. When we checked in, talk radio blaring on the clerks radio. Because of the loud volume, it was hard to focus on getting checked in. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with lots of trees and shrubs. Well-maintained. Everything clean as a whistle. Owner/manager friendly and efficient. It is, however, RIGHT next to the freeway, so it isn't quiet. Screened with trees, but you can see the flash of vehicles speeding along. We used our fantastic fan to block out some of the traffic noise. On the other hand, it couldn't be easier to get on and off the freeway from here! Several restaurants within walking distance, or Dominos delivers. Worked for us! I would rate this park a 10 except for the Interstate noise. We had reservations at another park in town but had a faulty ground pedestal which caused us to leave. I called Jack's and the man on the phone and check in was fantastic. Very accommodating, showed us 3 sites to choose from. Very nice long concrete pull thru, easy to maneuver with us being 45 ft. with a tow. Very clean park, only negative is the freeway noise but that is not their fault. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all big rigs needing a nightly stop. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Small park with small patios and wood picnic tables, nice trees...we didn't use, was raining non stop.

We got there at dusk. They told us to park in,any of the pull throughs. No lights, could not find dog run,as it was up steps and could not be seen. Man next to us had a brand new travel trailer...was celebrating and got real drunk and fell into our slide. Here it posts $35.00 and night host told us the same. In morning upon check in/check out they told us $37.00 less $3.70 for Good Sam's (which shows this place with terrible ratings.) We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is beautifully manicured with grass between each site and lovely foliage. However, it is located right next to I-5, and the very loud and constant drone of traffic is horrific, especially with windows open. I found both showers dirty the next day, with hair all over the shower floors. I left. A woman answered the office phone when I called about the schedule of housekeeping. In a most unfriendly voice, I was told they don't come every day but would be there around noon on this day. A very different attitude from the warm and caring man who checked me in the day before. I would not stay here again only because a park this size should clean its restrooms daily, and office staff should care if they are found dirty. There is a state park just south of Grants Pass. We camped here in a 45' motorhome. Very clean and manicured park. Only negative is sites are VERY small (awnings are within inches of neighbor's coach). Other than that, excellent roads, easy navigation, concrete pad, convenient location right off highway, but yes, highway noise (not noticeable inside coach with ac running). Would not hesitate to stay again. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is well-kept basic park with few amenities. I wouldn't call it a "Resort" since there are no amenities other than laundry and restrooms. "RV Park" would be a better naming choice. The park is very well maintained. We've stayed at about 40 parks in the past 2 years, and this may be best landscaped and maintained park we've been too. Very clean, tidy, easy to navigate. There is a lot of road noise, if that sort of thing bothers you (it doesn't bother us). We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
