Lots of mature shade trees. Unfortunately we were here when the Cotton wood trees were at their messy peak. Located right on the Rogue River. The staff helps you park is is very friendly. Lots to do in the area. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very rustic park right on the river. Had it been a little warmer, we would have dipped out feet in. Narrow roads with lots of trees. Friendly people out walking about. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our site #21 backed up to the river and was very nice. It was level and we enjoyed the view. This is a small park with the basics. It does not have a pool, or dog area. We were able to find a nice dog park in Grants Pass so it worked for a very peaceful weekend. The service was excellent. We will stay here again. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at Grants Pass without a reservation. We kind of expected to be able to pick and choose any park we wanted given the time of year. We were just looking for an overnighter but discovered the parks close to I5 were full (mostly permanents). Riverpark was first one that had room for us. It was easy to find and the access roads were good. The office was not open when we arrived but the camp host met us right away. Check in was quick, pleasant and informative. He also insisted that he help us park even though we told him he was not needed. This is a small older park right beside the river. The perimeter roads are asphalt and in good condition. Maneuvering was easy, lots of large trees in the park but none that caused any issues. Very Big Rig friendly. The pads are concrete and paving stone. While the concrete was badly cracked it was still level and flat (no tripping hazards). There was a table but no fire ring. All of the services worked and were well placed. Cable TV (without the box) was included. Channel selection was great including two for movies. Wifi was fair. Not strong enough to stream but for e-mail and browsing it worked well (we were pretty much right across from the office and that may have been a factor). The park is all grass and flower beds. Because we arrived in December (rainy season) the ground was mushy. I would have preferred gravel (for drainage) next to the pad but we survived. There are a number of permanents but all of the sites were tidy and uncluttered. There is no Dog Run but lots of dogs around. We did not discover any droppings in the park. This is a quiet place. We did not hear any road noise. There is a path down to the river but it did not seen to go anywhere else. No walking trails around. There are no food or other services within walking distance. We found this park to be a pleasant overnighter. We paid $32.00 including GS discount and feel we received good value. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is very dark, the sites had pads that were uneven and cracked, the path to the river was dangerous, there are no "dog areas", the smell from the septic tanks were overwhelming and they indicate they have Wifi but you will never be able to connect. There are also no pull thrus. In addition, they do not offer refunds if you choose to leave early. Definitely not worth the price. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Management caters to long term regulars. When we arrived I was told that we would be moved to a different space (site 1). Barely long enough for our trailer. Had to park in overflow parking. Concrete pad was broken, mud and gopher holes everywhere (they water the "grass" every night). Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is no resort by any means. No pool or game room entertainment center. The campground is cramped to the max. The lady checking us in kept saying our rig was much larger than what we said. It was what we said. When they were mowing their mower went under our steps to get edge of grass and scorched our step cover which we didn't realize until we got to the next place. Clean, quiet and well run. Staff is extremely nice and very helpful. WiFi can be a little weak. Right on the Rogue River, with direct access. It's six miles to Safeway, Walmart, Fred Meyer, Walgreens, Rite Aide and plenty of restaurants. I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Crater Lake, wild animal park, big cats park, fishing, rafting, power boat ride up the river. It has a very cute historic downtown, as does Jacksonville. Great shopping, antiques and music all over in downtown every first Friday evening and a great Farmers market every Saturday.

Couldn't get a spot overlooking the river, even with calling way in advance. When we arrived our site was changed because they took in a 4 month "permanent" at our original site assigned. We were given no advance notice, no offset credit & we were stuffed into another site that was really bad. If you like to feel like you are in a sardine can then by all means go for it. Would recommend that if you can't get a river site then keep driving (even those are very close). Our site was infested with box elder bugs, owner told us it's no biggie they don't bite or eat your food....well it was a biggie, especially once they flew into the RV! There was a plastic table & chairs on the hook up side of our RV for us, had to ask the owner to clean them as they were filthy. Then you really couldn't sit outside because of the mole holes in the grass & bugs. This park could be really nice if they eliminated some of the REALLY CLOSE sites......we were butt up next to permanents back & side.....you could reach out & touch their bedroom slide...no awning room at all (but then the bugs would have been all over it anyway). Once they started blowing and mowing all you could see was dirt & dust flying...they didn't even bother to blow our area. It's obvious that a lot of the campers here return every year for the summer & they get preferential treatment. Even though we booked for 3 nights, it evidently didn't count with the owners. Concrete pad is in very poor condition, lots of tree roots and cracks. Electric/water in the back, sewer in the middle. Lots of shade trees, which was good because it was really hot. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Small Park - about 50 sites. Lots of trees right by the Rougue River. The shade would be nice on a warm sunny day but on a regular spring day in Oregon it makes it kinda dark and dreary. Some sites are quite long - the rest are average 99% are paved. All sites are back in. We arrived on Easter Sunday so the managers/owners were not there but they left us the site map and pertinent information so it was fine. The wifi is poor at best. There were 4 different servers to choose from but none of them were very good and it often took several tries to get connected. Other than the wifi - it is a fine place for a night or two. Verizon signal is very good so I was able to use my 4g. TV is fine. There are interesting wood carvings around the park. The owners appear to be doing a lot to make this a nice place to stay - new plantings and some new concrete being poured. There is no specific dog run but people seem to be good about picking up after their pets. We would stop here again for a night or two. Bathrooms are nice & clean. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Road is narrow and not much room to navigate most of the back-ins. Site A was easy, but most others are not. Laundry is large and reasonable. Rules say "no barking dogs" but they were, everywhere. This is not a good time of year for this area. Box Elder bugs were everywhere, literally. Rogue River is high and swift this time of year. My wife was walking our daughter's small dog and it was attacked by two other dogs our last evening, apparently not the first such incident. The park is not far from Grants Pass and shopping, restaurants and fuel. Each site is narrow concrete, not much space to park tow vehicle or toad. Utilities are at the rear of the site and you need to position the RV deep enough to make room to park the other vehicle. This is a pleasant place to stop and we likely will return when in the area. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 14 nights and loved visiting the area. The WiFi worked good for us and we used it daily. Our site #17 was a challenge to get into because of a big tree at the front and narrow roadways. With the help of our neighbor and taking it slow, we were able to get in. The car and coach just fit. The owners are friendly and willing to help in anyway they can. The grounds are neat and clean. We enjoyed our time here. Lots to see and do in this area.
