Paid a higher than normal rate, probably due to the 7/4 holiday, that being said this is a large, family friendly campground. There are plenty of kid friendly activities; indoor & outdoor pools, activities area, etc. If noise is an issue request a site away from the activity area. Older sites are shady and paved; newer sites are sunny and gravel/dirt. The showers close to our site had dirty floors due to the dirt being tracked in from rain showers. Free pancake breakfast is available and other breakfast, lunch & dinner items for a fee. Laundry was adequate at $3 to $3.25/load. WiFi was poor. Cable TV is available, we didn't use it as we have satellite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Call ahead if you want to arrive early to make sure your site is ready, otherwise you will be required to wait until check in time at the park entrance. A staff member is stationed at the entrance to ensure you don't enter the park. We would camp here again. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A better than average KOA. There are more amenities here than you can imagine, indoor pool, hot tub, rec hall, volleyball court, etc. The Highway out front has very little traffic or noise. The State park across the street is excellent. It is about a mile and a half walk to the beach, or, a two minute drive. Bathrooms were clean. Showers were hot, cleanliness and water pressure were adequate. We stayed in the off season and paid way less than the other reviewers. We had two disappointments. One, the wifi was very very slow or otherwise useless (T-Mobile cell worked). Two, the KOA allows campfires. If the wind would have changed directions, the fire smoke would have been intolerable. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Arrived early and told to leave and go across the street and wait until 3pm to check in. Talked to one of the outside greeters and he had me park under some trees in the CG entrance. Very helpful. Very well maintained CG. Lots of families having a great time. Easy to navigate to interior roads. Good location to ride around and see the sights. State park across the street led to the beach. Dogs allowed on the beach. It was a good time. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Made reservation for a 50amp but they gave us a 30amp that didn't work. Had to wait to get it fixed. The laundry room only had washers. I noticed that there were small rigs in the spaces with 50amp when all they needed was 30. Moved 3 times. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

My family really likes this park, so much so that my kids can spend all day here without leaving. Love the free pancake breakfast, we usually pick it up to go and enjoy in our camper (we also always tipe the staff!). Two pools, ample play space, friendly & very visible staff make this a great place to relax with the kids. We prefer to stay in the paved sites that have great shade tree cover vs. the open field sites. This is where we aim to be when visiting Seaside/Astoria. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here as it was one of few parks which had space available without a reservation. Our site was dirt/gravel with quite a bit of slope and weedy grass surrounding the site. Utilities worked fine, placement acceptable. There was adequate space between sites EXCEPT for the neighboring fire rings which were within a foot or two of slide outs. Those that insisted on having a fire (and there were many) choked the rest of us out. Spent most of the time closed up with the AC running.

Being a "family friendly" park there were many activities/play areas for children. This does lead to quite a bit of noise, had 2 nights of kids running around the park throwing poppers until midnight.

All in all a nice place to let the kids run and have fun, not so much if you are looking for a quiet, smoke free park. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Next trip we will make reservations at Ft Stevens, literally across the street. Many miles of improved bike trails and of course the historic fort areas.

A wonderful area with many attractions, well worth spending a few days.

Off season this park could be a 9. In season it is swarming with kids and dogs. We were here Labor Day weekend. The site 313 was very long, level & the width was acceptable. Good 50 amps and satellite service. No grass but that could be due to a long season of kids and no rain. Lots of activities for kids. Great location to visit the beach (you can drive on the beach here and take your dog) and lots of historical spots near by. Personnel is extremely efficient and friendly. A very well run campground. Was able to get a back-in site on short notice. Unable to specify a specific spot unless you pay an additional 10 dollars during online booking? Plus 10 dollars a night "resort" fee. $$$ Was given a spot in the "400" loop. Do not stay there! Site to our left, fire pit 6 feet from slide window, unable to open any windows due to smoke. Sites are too close and recently added tv cable posts at rear of site impede parking units with two slides. Gravel access road was loud and dusty with speeding cars at all times of the day. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park was way too busy for our taste. We came here mainly to entertain our granddaughter. Granted there's a lot of things for the kids to do, but the park was overcrowded with unsupervised kids. Playing mini golf wasn't enjoyable because of the kids cutting through and being rowdy. The bounce tube was enjoyable for the grandkid as it was better supervised. Swimming pool areas were well kept and enjoyable for her also. Pancake breakfast was doable on a Thursday. On Friday the lines were getting pretty long, even early on, and forget Saturday morning as the lines were way too long. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty to do if you have a car. Headed north, Long Beach Peninsula is rather quaint but nice enough. If you have time, head up to Leadbetter Point on the north end of the peninsula. Driving on the beach is always fun. Head south, Seaside and Cannon Beach are nice touristy places with plenty to do.

Overall very well kept large park. Lots of pull thrus, back in, spacious sites. Two pools ( inside & outside)...which we discovered at the end of our stay. Lots of good shopping within 5 minutes ( Costco, Fred Myers, petco, etc.) easy access to downtown Astoria , a small town worth exploring. ( lots of history). we stayed Halloween night , and many folks/ children were busy with festivities..unfortunately we had no clue that there were trick or treaters out and didn't prepare for it. Beautiful fort Stevens state park across the street, well worth the drive down to ocean park beach, to witness the roar of the Pacific Ocean. Oh yes, we could faintly hear the pacific surf in our motorhome, very soothing. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Camp was nice and clean, seemed there was a 1-1 ratio of campers to employees. we stayed in the section with trees foliage and paved site. This was the best section of the park with shade etc.
Couple issues:
The drive thru our section was the ONLY 2 way traffic section and as it was the road that led to virtually all the lower end of the park it was quite noisy, busy and with all the kids on rented bikes etc was not super safe. there was a road that they could use to bypass this section but that's not the traffic pattern they set up, and the other un-populated route was little used.
Second the "wifi" that is set up with stations through out the park never really worked. we got a couple devices to login, but once logged in they have virtually no data transfer available, while our other devices would not even log in. kept receiving an incorrect password message. guessing the network was full, which was why it would not work anyhow.
other than those 2 things and the $192.00 for 2 nights with tax being a bit steep, it was a nice place to stay. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped in here for a few nights; this KOA is well set up and very busy. The bathrooms needed a little more cleaning as they were quite a mess, could have been due to the weekend and amount of people in the park. We enjoyed the stay despite the messy bathrooms. Lots of stuff to do and see in the area! We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

State parks and historic Lewis and Clark sites nearby, plus historic Astoria Maritime Museum and tourist trolley in Astoria make this area and scenic jewel to explore. Columbia River ships pass near town and waterfront dining is wonderfully scenic. Historic hillside homes to tour and a small college make this area fun to explore. Shopping is good and lots of festivals bring people into this artist-friendly area too.
