13 Parks near Hermiston, Oregon
Jul 2016 - $20.00
We have stayed here several times. It is a nice, clean, easy to get into park. The people are very efficient and nice. We enjoy stopping at this park when traveling west. It is a very good value and the sites and grounds are well maintained. We will stay again. - Tschachers
Jun 2016 - $31.00
It's kinda hard to rate this park. It is very clean and well keep.
How ever spaces are tight, sprinkler water spoted our coach.
It's NOT PET FREINDLY WHAT SO EVER. Pets are not allowed on any lawn area except the small pet area in the far corner of the park. It's not even fenced so cannot let your pet of leash.
They're very particular about this as there are signs all over.
Laundry was clean and neat, one plus.
It's a good overnight stop. - traveler1952
May 2016 - $17.00
Rate is $16.50 w/PA for 2 nites then $29.71 w/GS for 3 nites. This is a very nice, clean park with an awesome, helpful staff. Level paved pull-thrus with paved interior roads and grass between sites. Electric & water hook-ups convenient and worked well; our sewer was not as convenient at the back of site but no big deal. Can pick up some over-air stations or request a digital cable box. The wifi was slow at times (as in most parks) but worked quite well most of the time. Restrooms, showers & laundry always immaculate, as were the grounds. As previous mentioned, it seems about 75% of people are full-time residents and some do leave real early. But we weren't bothered at all by it and the park obviously doesn't allow "full-time junk" to collect around units as everything is neat and tidy. Great park, would definitely return. - lets move
Jul 2013 - $15.00
Bare bones RV park. Has nice laundry facilities. Good water pressure. Lots of long-term residents. Office only open a few hours a day. Office staff very nice and helpful. - J59T
Sep 2012 - $17.00
PA rate. I can agree with the May-Aug reviews except that we found our site, 301, to be subject to a lot of road noise. But 301 is one of the sites closest to the highway. Friendly staff, clean, lots of "permanents". Cable good, couldn't get the wifi password to work. - rncordy
Jul 2012 - $22.00
We arrived late on a very hot July evening, and paid the fee since the office was closed. We did use the restroom/showers. It's an attractive park with lots of grass and trees. The bugs weren't bad, especially considering the proximity to the river. The nearby road wasn't loud or busy, and we found the park quiet. The only problem we had, andand it was significant for us, was the bright yard light in the center of the park. Because of the heat, we had to keep the windows and curtains open for ventilation so the light was intense. We had to leave early so we didn't happen to meet the owners or check out the camp store. This is a quiet, clean, and reasonably-priced camp. I'd not hesitate to return. If one must keep the curtains open; however, avoid the glare of the yard lights. - User2873
May 2011 - $19.00
Called ahead from I-84 and was told that sites were available, only to drive 10 miles out of the way to find the place full. grrrr. This place looks kind of dumpy with many permanents and one rather unsavory character observed. Will not return and hope to warn others of this miscommunication from the owner. It was full so we moved on. - saturn7
Jun 2007 - $30.00
The manager was easy to deal with. The park is mostly gravel covered. It was a nice quiet park. - two
Jul 2016 - $32.00
The view sites (1-6) were all taken, but we had a pretty good view from across the lane in site 9. We liked the large expanse of grass, and the walk down to the river. We didn't like the noise level from nearby Interstate 82, but other than that the location is extremely convenient and pretty scenic. - Oregon52
Jun 2016 - $30.00
We loved our stay here! Beautiful trees and lawns, very relaxing. Just stayed put for a couple nights and enjoyed the scene. Also, our two dogs enjoyed getting to run on the river "beach." Umatilla isn't much, but this park is great, and a good value with full hook-ups, incl. 50amp! Sites 1-6 are along a sort of bluff overlooking the river - great! - CarrieBearie
Apr 2016 - $33.00
This is one of our favorite parks. It is not a fancy resort, no frills just a nice place to stay along the Columbia river. All the services work well. The WIFi is typical rv park. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. The roads are gravel as are the sites. There are both back-ins and pull thru's lots of space between. We have tried others in the area when traveling through but always come back to here. - JDR
Oct 2015 - $31.00
Easy access to I-84, paved and level sites with a little grass strip. Park was clean and sits next to a Pilot truck stop. A good place to stop for the night. We stayed in a 42-footer. - cwousa
Sep 2015 - $31.00
The park is close to the highway so there is some noise, but not bothersome. McDonald's and Subway are within walking distance and the gas station here has competitive prices. Lots of green grass and shade trees. Sites are paved with a table and full hookups, including cable. Have stayed here before and will again. - frmOregon
Jun 2015 - $31.00
This was a 'surprise to find' campground for us. We fueled up here and were beginning to think about where to spend the night. We saw this park right behind the Pilot so decided to check it out. The RV park is very nice, campground hosts are very pleasant and helpful, so definitely was convenient for an overnight stop. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. The park is relatively full of permanents and the campground host told us there is quite a bit of construction going on in the area so that's why it's busier than normal, however, they keep their sites neat and clean. The park also saves about 8-10 sites per night for 'overnighters' and it was full the next a.m. when we left. The downside to the park is the overnight semi trucks next door, however, it wasn't a problem for us. Will definitely stay here again if in the area. - Wannabees
Aug 2016 - $27.00
This is the first time I have stayed at a COE campground and I have to say I was very impressed with what we found. Originally, I made our reservations on-line and after travelling for nearly 600kms it was very nice to be greeted by name as though we knew the hosts from a previous visit. The hosts continued to be very helpful and supportive throughout the stay.
Nearly all sites appear to be very level asphalt pull-though coming off either side of the asphalt loop road. Our was long enough to host our 40' 5er and full sized truck. The 50-amp power didn't work which I reported but everything else was in good working order. Each site has a large gravel patio with a picnic table and fire pit. Trees provide welcome shade for the heat of the day. There is no cable tv but we got about 12 OTA stations and satellite looks possible. No wi-fi anywhere but cell phone signals do reach. There is a small laundry room with one washing machine and one drier. A wash cycle turned out to be $1.25 and took about 35 minutes.
On the mens side the was one shower, two stalls and a couple of hand sinks. The bathrooms are slightly dated but clean and looked after. It is just a shame that some people seem unable to flush after using the toilets!
Whilst alongside the Columbia River, none of the sites can really be classed as riverside or river access. There is a small beach/swimming area and separate boat launch at a different section of the park.
There was some road noise from the I-82 and trains do pass within 800 yds but the noise of these was easily surpassed on a night by the cicadas. - Hutch333id
Aug 2016 - $13.00
Have to agree with previous reviewers! This is a beautiful spot! Nice and spacious sites, great electric service, good water pressure and quiet! There is a train track about a half mile away but is not noisy, unlike some other parks on the Columbia River. The hosts are so very helpful. We arrived without a reservation but they found a space for us. When our plans changed they were able to find another spot so that we could stay an additional three days. It is best to have a reservation through recreation.gov. This park stays very busy through the summer months. We will definitely stay here again. - Rick & Karen
Jul 2016 - $13.00
What a great little find this place is. We stumbled upon it but are spending three nights. The campsite is spacious with easy pull-through access. Full hookups and 30A/50A power. Gate and campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had no reservations, yet the lady worked to find us a perfect spot. Highly recommended! - Quahog
Jul 2015 - $25.00
No shade here on a windy bluff. Cash only. They turned out the lights in the laundry at 9pm while I was using it. Said they lock em up. Most sites were long term rentals. Our only choice was the front site near the truck noisy highway. Would not return here. - smoothsailin
Jan 2015 - $11.00
Great park and very friendly Owners! We really enjoyed our stay here! The owners of this park are super neat people, all sites are gravel and very spacious. We enjoyed our short stay here and will come back if ever in the area! - fusion34
Sep 2013 - $25.00
A very convenient spot when traveling in the Eastern end of the Columbia River area. All sites are gravel, but level and we'll laid out. Good spacing between sites with young trees in the right spots for future shade. Nice laundry facilities to serve their less transient clients. Certainly a park to keep in mind. - Dunwoodyradio
Aug 2016 - $35.00
This is a new and very nice, smaller RV park located just a few miles off of I-84 along the Columbia River. Roads and sites are paved with a grass strip and a small shade tree between each site. All sites, both pull-through and back-in, are full hookup with 20/30/50 amps. There are clean and modern bathrooms, showers, laundry, and a lounge/TV room in the office building. Check-in was pleasant and efficient, but they only take cash or check, no credit cards. The WiFi worked great! There is no pool nor playground but a city park and a swimming beach on the river are a short walk away along with lots of places to walk a dog. - JoyceM
Aug 2016 - $27.00
The spaces are large and level with large well-irrigated grassy areas surrounding. Some have little "privacy fences", while others are in the open. Some spaces are fully exposed to the sun while others enjoy shade from large trees.
The designated swim area beach was not terribly inviting; the shoreline was muddy and the water was murky. We swam to the west of the baseball diamond and the water was also murky there. There are many ducks hanging around; we showered right after the swim.
The WiFi is OK when the park clears out, then very poor when the park is full in the evenings.
The bathrooms are dated and generally adequately clean.
We spent three nights. We have no kids, no boat, and don't fish. Next time, we would use this park as a great place to stop for a night or two, but not as a resort destination to stay for a week. - Civilguy
Aug 2016 - $41.00
Perhaps the nices park we've.m stayed at. Huge spaces. Tons of room. Lots of grass. Right on the Columbia River. This will be a regular stop for us when we come through. - Ken Camp
Aug 2016 - $26.00
This is a beautiful park on the shore of the Columbia River. The grounds are well manicured with shade and green grass. Views of the river are exceptional. The sites are all back-ins with some big enough for big rigs. Full hookups at site with pretty decent WiFi. There is a marina, boat ramp, dump station, and playground. There is a little road and train noise but not bad at all. A very nice, quiet park to relax and enjoy the view. - Fire344
