Very nice park with paved, level sites and convenient access to all hookups. Friendly staff at the desk, very helpful with maps and info. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hermiston is a small, desert city that depends on farming and depot work for jobs. It is close to both the Columbia and Umatilla rivers, which I'm told are great fishing spots. We kayaked the Umatilla early one morning and it was a great paddle.

Very well kept park. Lots of full-time residents who go to work very early in the morning. Had the guy next to us start his very loud Harley at 5 AM and another crank up his Dodge pickup at 5:10. Cable TV is offered but you need a box for that and a $135 refundable deposit required. We got 32 channels from our bat-wing antenna. WiFi is offered but it is very, very slow most of the time. Verizon 4g is good. We will stay here again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Safeway close by. Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant is excellent. Great walking/running park on SW 23rd St. Shell Station at 1655 N. 1st St usually has the best prices on diesel but it is a mix of diesel and bio-diesel. Today it is $2.50. I have used it with no issues.

Excellent park with paved pull thru. Very clean and well kept. Laundry room clean; $1.50 per wash. Easy to find from I-84. Would stay there again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean park with grassy plots between each site. I called on a Friday morning asking if they had availability for 2 nights, and luckily they had one! We got a pull-thru with FHU. The rate we paid is with Good Sams discount. I never checked out the bathroom or laundry, though DH did a load and said wash was $1.25 and dry was $1.00, great prices! We did not connect to the cable but were able to pick up all the basic local stations with the antennae. I noticed that maybe at least half the people living here are long-term residents, but even with the older units, they keep their things tidy and they even provide storage units on property, I suppose to help enforce this atmosphere. Sites were situated a bit close to each other, but you would expect that in a commercial park like this one. They do a good job here, they had a large video library you could take on an honor system, with a mail slot to drop into if you needed to return outside business hours. Wifi was too slow for us to work on our online business, but Verizon LTE data and cell signal were strong and not a problem to use. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Safeway straight down the street in town, and I needed a quiet place to study and found the library was a nice place with free wifi. I also ended up using free wifi at Starbucks, McDonalds, and Burger King. We tried to eat at this Thai restaurant that had rave reviews on Yelp, but they closed for the day, probably because there is a fair going on and maybe they are vending there.

We arrived late in the afternoon and were pleased to be able to get one of the last available pull through spaces.

A lovely clean , well manicured park. Nice and quite at night. Some long term tenants, but kept nice and clean.

The WiFi was free but worked very slow. There was no cable TV.

They allowed Pets - we have dogs- However, there were signs up all over the place saying "no pets allowed". The only place you could allow your pet to stretch their legs and toilet was on one area of grass in the far back corner of the park. Which I wasn't keen to go to after dark. This is what lowered my overall rating of the park. We would stay here again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park to overnight in. Site was long enough for our 40' MH and jeep parked in front. It has neatly trimmed grassy sites with enough room for our slides and then some, no trees at all. This park was full and we were lucky to get a spot. Wifi worked, we did not use the cable tv system as it require installing a box and we didn't need to watch tv that much to bother. Easy in and out with towed unhooked. Office personel were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for nearby sight seeing. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight at the Hermiston Pioneer RV Park. We had reservations and check in was easy. We paid nothing in advanced so that always makes us nervous but, the lady at check in was very nice and helpful. Our space # 411 was close to the showers but, they are your normal tight fits. The utilities are set up for large RV's so the septic is all the way to the back. Fortunately we have lots of cords and hoses. The space was level so no need for blocks. The restroom and showers were excellent. They were modern and very clean. The park is quite with a few long stay residents. We stayed in our 40' RV and if we were in the area again we would use the Hermiston Pioneer RV Park as a stopover. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not sure what the draw is to for this area except the Snake River which is a drive to get to. Other than that there is nothing going on in the town or area. We used it as a clean stop over for utilities only.

We made a last-minute reservation and were accommodated. We were going to be arriving a little bit after the office closed, and they waited for us. Most sites were occupied by long-term residents but the units were all neat and clean. Surface was asphalt. Price is with Passport America discount. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is perfect in cleanliness, if anything it is too perfect. It almost reminds me of grandmother's formal living room with the plastic covers still on the furniture. The grass is watered and manicured, with little signs where they don't want dogs to go. The pads and streets are all paved and perfectly level, and the sites are wide enough for slide outs and awnings, but there is no patio or picnic table, but just a perfect strip of grass that nobody seems to use. There is no shade and the park is lit up like a night time baseball park with street lights. Staff are friendly and very helpful. There is a very small grass area devoted to dogs which is not fenced, but there is a great park to the east of the RV park where you can take your dog. Wifi is not reliable, spotty and slow spotty. Cable TV is available but requires a box and a deposit, but there are about 6 or 7 good stations available on your roof top antenna. We would stay here again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is so nice that we came back at the end of the first week and stayed again. It could not be any more well-kept. Everything is trimmed and painted to perfection and it could not be a better bargain for what it costs you. For treats and fast food there is a Chevron station right next door. We will stay here again for sure. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflects Passport America rate of $18.50 a night. Quick and easy check in. Very well maintained park. A lot of long term folks but all sites were tidy without a lot of junk around them. There was some dog poop that was deposited in our site that was not picked up until I did the job myself. We'll return. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

The rate shown is the Passport America rate of $18.50, good for up to 2 nights. (Cash only for Passport America.) We enjoyed our stay here. The staff is very friendly, the park is neat as a pin and well laid out, the utilities worked well, and we had a clear shot of the sky for satellite. As mentioned before, there are several long term residents, but they keep their sites neat and clean. We'll definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Price reflects Passport America rate. They do not accept credit cards, so make sure to have the cash. The park is rather out of the way from I-84, but not difficult to get to. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially explaining the quirks of the laundry. As stated by others, there many permanent residents. Permanent residents do not seem to understand the 5 mph speed limit. Spaces are somewhat close together, but large enough for our 35' RV with two slides. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.
