We have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. Easy, friendly, and the river is just across the highway (which can be a little noisy but not bad). No cable and cell / satellite is spotty but just adds charm. We will continue to stay here in the future. We camped at Elk Haven in a Motorhome.

The park was nice at first glance then you notice the rabbits. They are everywhere and the impact they have is everywhere. Feces stinks up the park from them and there's no escape from odor in your rv or their restroom building. The rabbits are fun to look at but the odor is awful. Cannot walk around without stepping in rabbit waste. People who live there year round are cluttered and dirty as well. This place could be nice with some work. It feels neglected and forgotten. Also think the large rabbit population is unhealthy. They need to care more for this piece of land and the health of the occupants. We camped at Elk Haven in a Fifth Wheel.

Rabbits and geese everywhere. Rabbits were not much of a problem and more like an advantage if you like animals. Rabbits are friendly and you can hand feed and pet some. Geese make a hell of a mess wherever they are but they are wild. Geese are the biggest issue and ponds are scummy.

Worst part was gunfire from neighbors and the owners son and another started shooting rabbits in the park. NOT ACCEPTABLE, this is supposed to be a family friendly park! Claimed they were a health hazard however mother nature and the predators seemed to keep the numbers in tact. Rabbits are free to take if you want one or two as pets. Just someone wanting to kill something. I will never stay here again due to the gun issue. I support gun use but not in a family park. We camped at Elk Haven in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

20 mile plus drive to town and Roseburg is the closest town for buying groceries and gas at a reasonable price.

Level, gravel sites with easy access. Long term residents are in outside lots on each end of park. New log cabin bathroom with nice showers and laundry facility. Quiet park with very little road noise from Umpqua Hwy. Right along the river so this is a nice place to stay if you want to hike around the river or fish. Park is filled with domestic rabbits that are everywhere. If you have dogs, it will drive them crazy. Park also has about 30 geese that poop all over the grass, so we ended up with goose poop all over our shoes and trailer floor. Two horses are fenced in various areas, so if you have kids and want to stay at a "petting zoo" this is the place for you. Wi-Fi is reasonable, but only works if you stand out near the office. We camped at Elk Haven in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of those places where we almost turned around and left. The grounds had dozens of geese and 100 bunnies (like, pet bunnies) running around. Cute, we thought! Until we saw the geese poop EVERYWHERE. I asked to borrow a rake so I could at least try to rake some of the poop away from our site so we weren't stepping in it and tracking it inside. I was given NO information upon check-in, just took my money and told me which site to go to. We had NO AT&T 4G, only E, service. Weird because less than a mile away, I had 4 bars of 4G. Just a dead spot I guess. I asked about wifi and was given the password, but the wifi is not reliable at all. It'll connect, partially open a page, then completely lose connection. No cable and no antenna TV. The log cabin on the property looks really nice but isn't maintained (doors don't lock, lights don't work), but only houses the restrooms, showers, and laundry room ($1 wash/$1 dry). The pool is above ground and looked disgusting when we were here, I guess because it wasn't peak season. We camped at Elk Haven in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The sites are quite wide and spacious. The park rules, however, are largely ignored. Camper's dogs can be seen running loose, many of the permanent campers live in old trailers with a lot of junk laying around, vehicles commonly park on the grass, and the WiFi is quite weak. If those problems were fixed, we'd be happy to come back time and time again. We camped at Elk Haven in a Fifth Wheel.

Here for 2 days to check out Highway of Waterfalls. Not much of a campground, gravel pull through sites in a field by the side of the road. Owners are nice and helpful. pool is above ground. 16 miles to food shopping, come prepared. We camped at Elk Haven in a Fifth Wheel.
