Overall Rating:

Nice campground with good blacktop road system, good size sites and clean. Combination of trees and open areas with most of the sites under at least some trees. Each site had a wide blacktop parking surface and even though there was a small branch that needed to be trimmed we were able to pull to one side of the pad to avoid it and still remain on the blacktop. We had no problem maneuvering our 38' MH into our site which was out of level enough that our rear jacks were about as high as they could go and our front jack was as low as it could go and still have contact with the ground. But it was not out of level enough to have to use blocks to level. A casual glance at other sites gave the impression that they were similar; some a little better and some a little worse. Our particular site had a light coating of pine needles over bare ground next to the blacktop pad so I imagine that if it had rained we would have been dealing with some mud. Water and 50A hookups were near the rear. When we arrived the restrooms/showers in Loop B were out of service but were working late the next day. Our site (53) was under the trees completely but we faced north into the open so we were shaded all day but did not feel like it was gloomy as we faced open space. Water pressure was good and the taste was OK. We have a satellite dish on a tripod so we were able to place it 30-40' behind us in an open space to get good reception. There appeared to be quite a few lots that would be able to get satellite reception with a detached antennae but choose carefully. Verizon voice reception was poor and data was poor to non-existent. There was a Winco, small public library and a laundry mat all within a tenth of a mile of each other and 10 miles from the campground. We stayed 11 nights so without a sewer hookup we tried to use the restrooms whenever it was convenient so that our black water tank would last the entire stay without emptying. They were always clean even during the very busy weekends. We camped at Richardson Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Richardson's on more than one occasion. We have always enjoyed this park. The staff is friendly and helpful; it's clean; and it has a variety of amenities including the lake, movies and playground for the grandkids as well as walking trails. A bonus is the dump station right at the park. The only drawback can be the mosquitoes. It's a hit and miss kind of thing but when they are their it's not a good thing. In general, we truly enjoy this park and will be back again...soon. We camped at Richardson Park in a Fifth Wheel.

$32 rate includes $7 extra vehicle fee. Our site was heavily shaded and did require some tree trimming prior to our back-in. We were in an interior site and they were pretty close together. The pull throughs, while having no shade would have been nicer with our big rig and offered more privacy. The back-ins around the perimeter were of various lengths but offered nice separation between sites. The park is nice and if we were able to reserve one of the pull throughs we would happily stay here again. Our Verizon did not even think about working, not sure if it was the location or the trees. We camped at Richardson Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here the first night after buying our new 5th wheel in Salem Oregon. Very nice county park. RV Sites are large and you have a variety to choose from. There are tree covered sites as well as open in the middle of a grassy field type sites. All seemed to be reasonably level, paved and clean. We camped at Richardson Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here several times in the past and have been happy with the park and the staff. During this stay - which is admittedly early in the season - the park didn't seem to be ready. There was a tree down, a couple campsites were closed, porta-potties were set up while restrooms in the day-use area are supposedly undergoing maintenance and the dump station was closed. I would have given an even lower rating but the camp hosts were excellent. The nightly rate did not include the $10 reservation fee. We camped at Richardson Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park is big rig friendly. Interior roads are paved, with asphalt sites. Sites have water and electric. There is a dump station. While we loved the park, we work, so needed internet service. We rode through the park and found a site where we could connect to Verizon, but the service was slow and spotty. Cell service was spotty as well. The park is wooded and the sites are nicely spaced. There are both pull-throughs and back-ins, with some being more level than others. Restrooms/showers appeared clean, but we did not use them. There's plenty of space to walk pets. The camp hosts were helpful and friendly upon arrival. We would return if passing through the area on a weekend, but not during the week, unless the Verizon service improves or we select another carrier. We camped at Richardson Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this well kept campground each of the last two years. There is also a day use area and a marina adjacent to the campground. The sites are level and a mix of pull-through and back-in. Staff is friendly and helped us stay an extra night. Would rate it higher but the men's restroom had plumbing problems during the entire four days of our stay. Water and electric are on a single pedestal near the rear of the sites. We will stay here again. The park is closer to Elmira (4 miles away) than Junction City (12 miles away). We camped at Richardson Park in a Travel Trailer.

Paved roads and paved campsites, some back ins and some pull throughs. Reservation website is good, even shows pictures of the sites. Most sites are $25, we had a pull through with view of the lake so considered premium. Water/electric only with dump station. Some sites are sloped, take leveling blocks/boards. Showers are 50 cents for a few minutes. We camped at Richardson Park in a Motorhome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Richardson Park and Campground. Our site (#77), was nestled in the pines and absolutely gorgeous with a view to the open clearing behind us. The site was level and paved. There are great showers and restrooms. The showers are 50 cents for 5 minutes. There is a marina and a boat launch, an outdoor movie on Friday and Saturdays, and plenty of places for bike rides. Our phones didn’t work there, but our air card worked fine. All of the spaces are very different and wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly return! We camped at Richardson Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice quiet park when we were there in late April. The campground hosts were great and made sure we had everything we needed. The RV dump is out of order for an unspecified period of time so they gave us directions to a free dump within 10 miles of the campground. The sites are mostly wooded but some towards the host sites are in a meadow. Out site was a pull-thru on a hill so it took a little leveling. There is a trail to the marina and a nice paved walking trail around the lake to the day use park. Great place to stay if coming from or going to the coast or needing to visit Junction City/Eugene/Corvallis. We camped at Richardson Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very basic, just a bunch of slabs with hook ups. Clean but I wouldn't stay again unless there was no other choice. Stayed while RV was being worked on at Guaranty. Dog friendly. We camped at Richardson Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good park for big rigs. Our 40' motorhome could fit in almost all sites. Some of the back in sites were in deep shade. Most of the pull-throughs were in sun or partial. If you don't utilize the lake by having a boat or fishing, there isn't anything to do here. There are no trails. We camped at Richardson Park in a Motorhome.
