Enjoyed our stay. There is very little shade at the spots, grassy area between sites. Small wooden picnic tables. No fire pits at the individual sites but a common fire pit with wood supplied. Pool is nice with hot springs water. Clean facility with two on site laundry rooms. Sites are gravel and mostly level. Roadways are easy to maneuver and gravel, which can be dusty. In fact, once you turn off of State Route 203 you must drive on about half mile of gravel road to this campground. Note, be sure to exit from Interstate 84 take exit 268 to avoid a longer gravel road drive to this campground. Flying J fuel service is available at Exit 268. [ RVPR Admin note: please noting correction to directions given in owners reply below.] Union Pacific train tracks nearby however, no train horn and when trains pass by you can barely hear them. Food at Flying J Restaurant is very good so don't pass it up. Drive 5 miles in to Union on State Route 203 and watch for deer in the town around evening. If using this campground to make a day trip to Joesph and Wallowa Lake, take 203 back towards La Grande then turn Right onto McAllister Road and it will take you straight onto Hwy 82. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Thank you for the nice and informative review, we hope to see you again sometime!

I just wanted to make a correction for future travelers. DO NOT take exit 268. Exit 265 is the actually the correct exit to avoid the 2 miles of gravel road. Flying J is also located at exit 265.

Safe Travels!

At the risk of sounding like most of the other recent reviews, it is a great place to stay! Far enough from town and traffic to be quiet (even when the regular train comes through about a mile away), close enough to be in the middle of La Grande in 10 minutes. Sites are large (easily fit my 65' plus parking for the JK), and they are watering to make the brown green as much as possible. We did not take advantage of the pool, but it looked inviting. Fishing in the creek on-site - catch and release, but I saw several large trout just waiting to get fed (got to have an OR fishing license). Nice, laid back place with lots of elbow room. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like Thai food (I know, who goes to the Oregon high plains for Thai food) - there is an outstanding purveyor of both Thai and Sushi. Thai Fresh is located in the "Marketplace", a renovated building in the middle of town. A very interesting shopping experience as well - the restaurant is downstairs in the basement, opposite the main entrance.

Really nice park. Utilities were located near the front of our site. Make sure you can make all connections before unhitching. About 5 miles from I-84 access is by a well maintained gravel road. It appears to have had a dust suppressant applied and as long as you go relatively slow isn't bad. All interior roads are gravel and sites are a combination of gravel and mowed grass. There are some trees, but it's mostly open space. Nice large grassy areas for kids and pets. The pool is an attraction although at just 3' in depth it's more for wading than swimming. Several TV channels without satellite and Verizon worked very well. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice RV Park with long pull-through sites. Spacing between sites isn't overly large, but there's enough room for a picnic table, etc. Hot tub is good, but the swimming pool is rather small. Laundry room is good-sized with 4 washers and 4 dryers and a folding table. We used OTA TV here because we weren't going to be here long. Our Verizon MiFi worked well. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

All pull throughs, grass was dead and hard to keep inside trailer clean. We camped here several times when it was Eagles Hot Lakes RV Park. Besides the store and bathrooms/showers being remodeled its the same. Pool and hot tub was nice as before. I don't consider it a resort. What a nice place. We were traveling west to east and had tried to stop in Pendleton but no spaces. Boy were we lucky. Beautiful park with plenty of room, fantastic walkability, good birding, and a mineral water pool and shower! Wish we had planned for more than a one night stop. There is a dusty gravel road leading up to the park but it's less than 1/2 mile. Satellite hooked up, good verizon, easy to maneuver our 45' MH and tow. Recycling on site is fantastic! We will be back to this place! We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Surprised to have to travel 1/4 mile of good gravel road to access park. Friendly hosts, well maintained/clean park with gravel interior. Easy big rig access. Verizon, AT&T, over the air and satellite access good. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This park was about 5 miles off of the interstate but after reading reviews of this park vs a park located closer to I84 I decided this was worth the drive. It was a good decision as this park is very nice. It is so neat and clean and the staff here were wo helpful and friendly. Nice level gravel long site w/ grass between that is well cared for with more than enough room for our 40' mh with slides and towed vehicle in the pull through 50 amp w/ good wifi and cable. This park is at the edge of the foothills with a warm water swimming pool and a hot water pool that appeared very clean with nice surroundings. We always use our our bathroom and showers but we looked in on the camps and found them very nice and clean and updated. We would certainly stay he. Park is very clean and well laid out with wide streets. Camp site was spacious, level, with dirt & gravel. Nice wide grass area between sites. It had 30-50 amp service, picnic table, and fire pit. It also was much longer than our 40ft motorhome with toad and plenty wide. There were youg trees around but still able to get satellite service. Hookups are easy to connect to. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great spot to learn about the Oregon Trail. There are also 2 RV manufacturing plants nearby (Northwoods and Outdoors RV) - free tours at both. Downtown LaGrande has a really good brewpub and a few cute shops. Nice farmers market in town too.

The park is very nice....big lots with room between neighbors. The view and sunsets were great. The town of LaGrande/Island City was close enough to run into for a bite to eat and grocery shop. The park is well kept and clean. Even though the train track is close by, we did not hear it. If we travel through this area again, we will surely make a stop here. After a poor experience when trying to check into another RV Park in La Grande, we pulled this RV Park on the GPS and we are so glad we did. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The campground is pristine. and to top it off we got to take a swim after a long traveling trip to get here. The showers are clean & new and there is lots to do! If we are ever back in this area we will make it a point to return here. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

The Grande Hot Springs RV Resort is located in a beautiful part of the country with plenty to see around it. The park itself has long sites with plenty of grass between you and your neighbor. Lots of walking areas for your dogs, a hot tub and a pool, which is more of a soaking pool as it is quite warm from the hot springs. What makes this place especially great are the staff/camp hosts who were awesome - so friendly and always helpful. I would highly recommend this park for anyone who wants to visit the northeastern part of the state and all the beauty it has to offer. We ate at Mamacita's in La Grande and found it to have very good food. It's not all Mexican. I had a steak that was tender and tasty. Also ate at Moy's Dynasty Restaurant in La Grande and found it to be good.
