1/2 hour to Reedsport or Coos Bay for shopping/dining tho there is a market in town and a few restaurants. There's also a restaurant in the park.

We echo the comments for the summer of 2018. This is a large park with several long termers, as this is a fishing destination resort near on Tenmile lakes. Very open, and all, utilities were fine. Cable TV was grainy but OK. Cell service was fine. The onsite Pub was wonderful! They specialize in Pizza, which was absolutely the best, no corners cut there! They have TV's around the room with current games ongoing. We also read a comment that the crowd was unruly and noisy, so we decided to check out the inruly crowd! We are both 69 now and felt as though we were Junior Seniors compared to the rest of the crowd! Average age had to be in the mid 70's! On Friday nights, they have kareoke in the pub, and MANY seniors got up and sang. We were stunned at the wonderful voices some had! So that was the unruly crowd! We had a great time and were welcomed from the minute we walked into the place! We would be sure to stop here when in the area again. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Our pull thru site was very level as where all sites, not a lot of shade...there are what seems to be a lot of permanent or seasonal campers here but I must admit that as full as the park was it was one of the quietest parks we have ever been to.....our services worked great, good cell ATT signal and their WiFi was very good considering the large number of campers here....the sites are pretty close and not a lot of privacy but they have everything you need right there in the campground including a restaurant....the restrooms and showers were clean and a lot of hot water....checkin was very smooth with nice people at the desk...when the park is full like it was a big rig could have a problem with a back in site but I have seen worse so it is doable....this is a nice stop for a day or two but not as a destination site in my opinion....we would stay here again if in the area..... We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great location near coast and on a beautiful lake. Stayed 2 nights. Our site was on the lake and a little challenging to back into but worth it. The grass had debris from previous visitors but overall well kept. Staff was really friendly. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park provided outstanding value for the money. Everything is well-maintained and functions well. They have pretty much every amenity imaginable. However, the most pleasant surprise was the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the young lady at the registration desk. The weather was terrible but she really brightened our day. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice little park on a lake with grassy sites freshly paved asphalt roads and pads. Hookups worked fine. Wifi was very good. The shower/bathhouse was clean with plenty of strong hot water. There is a store and pizza pub on site. We liked walking into Lakeside for groceries. The RV park is right next to the county park which also allows camping. The advantages of Osprey Point over the county park are sewer hookups, wifi, laundry facilities, and sites at Osprey Point are also closer to the lake. There are a large number of permanent residents at Osprey Point, but they are segregated in the back of the park away from the water. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Decent place for a short stopover. Spaces were all right, roads a bit narrow. Long rigs might have trouble navigating. More than a few permanent residents, some have let their areas get cluttered. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.

It is obvious that the owners are working to upgrade the park, and while there is some maintenance to go, the have done a good job. Some permanent residences, but, they seem to have a standard to keep up their site. Great location for this part of the coast, and compared to Tugman, quite an upgrade both in full service and overall feel (I think this is the only place I've been where the private campground had more space between vehicles then the state park). Good Verizon 4g. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.

You must go crabbing at Winchester Bay! It was a blast and the crab is amazing. License is sold at the store, but, don't use a crab ring, bring a pot.

This was our first visit to this park and we were surprised by the completeness of the facilities. The park is on a lake and there is a marina and also a sports type bar serving food and drink. Also a small store and large meeting room. Our site was level with no problems with the hook ups. WiFi was OK but we had some problems logging on. Good Verizon cell service in the park. About 24 Cable TV stations. The town of Lakeside is very small but there is a good sized market and a hardware store if you need supplies. We will stay here again when we return to the area. This campground has recently undergone a change of ownership. The roads and sites have been repaved and the whole campground is looking quite good. It is reasonably easy to get around in a big rig. We were originally assigned a pull through but found it occupied so chose a back in which was ideal with a large pad for the truck alongside. Adequate space between sites. The campground even has a pub with quite a good food menu. Service at time of reservation was good and on arrival was excellent. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Over nite at Osprey Point last time in June. Will not return as this park continues to deteriorate but prices rise. We saw old junky trailers with debris, old vehicles, and equipment inhabiting a number of sites. Garbage truck stinks. Dock is unsafe as deck boards give way. Sadly in summertime the lake levels drop making boat launch here dangerous. Onsite tavern with bar draws loud, unruly crowd. Osprey Point no longer good family environment! A very dissatisfying experience. The Staff was rude. The space had dog feces in it and we had to clean it up. The garbage has to be taken to an old garbage truck that was disgusting and smelled terrible. It is backed up to rows of broken down old full time residents and a junk yard There was a drunk man going through the garbage looking for bottles. There is a Tavern on the main grounds and it is extremely loud till all hours in the morning. The people next to us had a drunk man try to get into their motor home while they were sitting by our fire. The dock is unsafe to walk on and we tried to launch our boat but there was a sign that said launch at your own risk. The launch is cracked and the lake is very low. The laundry is terrible. Dog hair in some of the washers and cracked, peeling floor. Anyone in town can use it. The shower house is totally disgusting. I would like to say one thing nice about Osprey. It looks good from the Lake. Power, cable, Wi-Fi, more than four people cost extra. Asphalt is cracked with holes in it. Nothing is level. This is an ill managed park and it is a shame that the only thing the management cares about are the Tavern customers! We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

An aging rv park, but with amenities that meet our needs for coastal activities. Spaces are pull-thru and fairly spacious. There is a lake on the end of the property for personal boating. Some boats are available to rent, but the boats and the docks have a somewhat dubious appearance. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lots of Permanents! Handful of 'Decent' sites (next to lake) but are saved for 'paying' customers. Apparently discounted membership rates aren't as valuable. Water/power didn't work so we had to piggyback & share with site next to us as park was full. Cable/Satellite is only option as no over the air signals available. Cable is $2.50/day extra (poor signal & limited channel selection) we watched DVD's. Also 50 amp electric is $5/day. Free Wi-Fi that kinda works.

Park is very run down, doesn't look like photos, loud music, noise till early am,burning garbage as well as trash everywhere, and front desk is uniformed & seems uninterested in caring. Roads have potholes, sites are small & close.

Nice Public, pizza and lake though.

Lots of 'Work-to-camp' employees so don't expect too much. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Most of the reviewers have said it all. We came in August and were headed to the coast without reservations. After a couple attempts, we finally arrived at Osprey Point Resort, which looked good from the Lakeside. However, we got a spot on the junkyard side. I don't have a problem with old rigs, but the area surrounding them and the area behind them had old tractors, sheds and garbage. Even a garbage truck is where you dump, which stinks and not so far from the backside of park. We barely fit into our site without toad and had to back up to dump. We stayed the first three nights at full rate before we realized they supported Passport America discounts so we stayed another three days. The upside was Taco Tuesday and the bar and grill and a decent pizza on another night. It was pretty quiet in the depressed economic section of the park and the neighbors were very nice. Perhaps if they charged less on the backside of the park instead of $37, I wouldn't be writing this. But not a great experience. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Motorhome.
