This is our second stay here - about 8 years between visits. It was great both times with no signs of ageing. The one noticeable improvement was the addition of a dog off-leash area. The camp hosts were helpful and friendly. We stayed 4 nights in a water/electric site. Each site has a tree that separates the sites. The sites are pull-through and they are angled so that there is a feeling of openness (no issues such as extending awnings and intruding upon your neighbor. The utilities were located perfectly for my fifth wheel. Some campers seemed confused by the layout. You pull into your site from an inner loop and exit your site from an outer loop. Groceries and fuel are 10 miles away in Lakeview. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Our second time here. Pleasant park, with nice amenities. Friendly staff. Good wifi. Nice club area. Off the beaten path yet close enough to freeway for this area. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great in a working livestock ranch with a lake stocked with fish. The actual rv park is about 1 mile into the ranch accessible via a gravel (and dusty) road. The sites are gravel so bring a nice large patio mat. We had hail, rain and thunderstorms while there, which made it extra interesting! We were with a caravan heading north to see the solar eclipse. The staff were so nice to cook pancakes for breakfast one of the mornings during our stay. Will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Lakeview is about 10 miles east of the park, which makes it convenient for stocking on food and other necessities. We even went on a nice 26 mile bike ride around nice country roads with practically no vehicular traffic.

This RV Resort is located one mile down a dusty dirt road in the middle of a working cattle ranch. Many of the sites were shaded and there were a few sites with 50 amp electric. We are very glad we asked for 50 amp service when we made our reservation because we picked a very hot day to visit. Once in the campground the roads were less dusty and the facilities were nice. There is a covered picnic area, large grass park, laundry, and restrooms. The camp hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the roads into and out of lakeview. As a result we avoided Oregon 140 east to Nevada and went northeast to Boise on US highways. It seems part of Highway 140 is a steep grade without guard rails. The overnight was quiet with only a few cows making some noise. Unfortunately the reservoir was closed for swimming during our stay due to a "bloom". We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Be prepared for a long dirt road to access the camp area. Follow the signs on your way in. Good idea to unhook the tow early and let them hang back. Glad we did.

This campground is located in the middle of a working ranch of several thousand acres. Site are level and the utilities are placed properly and in good working order. The views are nice from the sites. I felt the price was high and the internet was spotty at best from our site. In the laundry room there was no internet, however under the pavilion it worked fine. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We love this park! Originally going to stay 1 day but added a day to to enjoy. Wouldn't call it a resort but if you like peaceful surroundings, no noise, dark skies, this is the place for you! We stayed in site w/o sewer (already empty) and we were almost alone. Sites are gravel with plenty of roomfor slides and awnings. Dry because of drought conditions but still lovely. Complaints about road in? Follow the speed posted and you'll have no problem. We've been on worse highways during our 4 months on the road. Shower rooms and laundry very clean. We will definitely come back anytime we are in area. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fishing and 5,000 acres of hiking...wildlife and cattle too at this campground. Juniper's has the most inviting laundry facility ever, and wifi is open and strong. No campfires allowed due to high fire alert. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Lakeview (10 mile drive) has at least one major grocery store, gas station, major automobile repair (our F350 diesel was expertly repaired here 2 years ago) and a tad of other amenities a typical small western town will have.

It's a very quite park, at night can hear the coyotes howl, The park is about 3 to 4 miles north of HYW 140, There is a pond to catch trout, no limit and I believe you don't need a fishing license. Full hook ups. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We think this is a great park. The driveway are wide and well graded. The sites are level. All the utilities work well. The WiFi is the best we have experienced in an RV park. The only sound at night was the coyote. There 6000 acres to roam in. It is true that the driveway is gravel and a mile long but it is smoother than many of the paved driveways we have used and driven slowly not too dusty. The host met us at our coach when we drove in and gave a brief rundown on the park then sent us to our pull thru site that was very easy to access. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. Good electric and water. Fairly level. Quiet. The bathhouse is nice and clean. I have been to campgrounds all over the US, and this is nice but not a resort. All gravel roads. To get here you travel for a mile on gravel. Not my idea of fun. If the roads were paved I would give it a 9, but still not a resort. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Would strongly discourage anyone with a diesel pusher. The 1 mile dirt road leading into the park was a disaster. No attempt by the owner to manage the dust and our side engine fan filled the entire coach full of dust.

Hosts were not from the local area and were very friendly and accommodating. They apologized profusely for the roads condition.

OK for travel trailers and front engine vehicles, but pushers should avoid at all costs. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a real gem of a park. It is located on a 6000 acre ranch and we were told they run 5000 head of cattle. All the sites are pull-through, and the ones where we stayed are long, level, easy entry and exit. The park is arranged around a large grass area that has the club house and bathrooms, laundry facility and even gas grills for the use of the guests. They have a couple of lush grass areas that are for tent campers as well. You are met by the camp hosts as you drive in, given the lay of the park and land, and sent on your way to you site. We thoroughly enjoyed the cattle, birds and wildlife that were in abundance. We didn't use the restrooms, but they were clean and neat. As others have said, the only negative about the park is the 2 mile drive on a very dusty dirt road from the highway to the park. Had we known how fantastic this park is and the serenity of the surrounding area we would have planned on staying longer. If we're in this area we'll visit again. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Motorhome.

What a gem! After a long day of driving, we were able to nicely relax at Juniper. Although a tad windy the day we were there, the service and landscape totally overshadow it. We fished, watched the cows being rounded up. Nice size sites and some shade trees circle the park. We camped at Junipers Reservoir RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Stayed for an overnight based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Park was clean, VERY quiet, and just great views. You are welcome to wonder along the 6,000 acres if you want to. It is a working cattle ranch, but there is no smell of a cattle ranch. They also have two gas grills if you want to cook outside at no charge. It was a great way to end our 11,477 mile trip. I would come back for a long weekend to just disconnect from the world. The only negative about this park is the one mile drive over a gravel road. The sites were very large. The hosts were extremely friendly.
