Since we were there for a week pre-season there was only the maintenance man onsite. The manager checked in occasionally and we were there 2 days before we paid her. This park was formerly affiliated with the BPOE (we were offered an Elks discount). There is a large screened in community room and 3 smaller ones with heat and small kitchenette. One was used for a birthday party while we were there. It may have been a day camp or something similar before becoming RV park. All sites are back in around a huge gravel parking lot. OTA was nonexistent but free wifi was one of the best we have seen. There is a huge grassy area behind the sites populated with Canada geese and one evening a herd of elk. It would have been a good place to let the dog run except it was too wet. We camped at Wapiti RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Kinda of a funky park, but not in a bad way. No full timers. Roughly 36 sites with water and 30 amp that all back up to large grassy fields. Our 43' motorhome was by far the largest in the park. The sites are gravel, fairly short and narrow, but you can hang out the back, even drive onto the grass if you wish. The surrounding fields are for camping and on the 4th of July there were many large groups scattered under the trees, but park is so large that everyone had lots of space. Lots of area to walk the dogs, even off leash. The park is a former farm located about 4 miles from Lincoln City on a rural road. It is very quiet. We had a sporadic AT&T data connection but no phone service. No OTA TV signal. We camped at Wapiti RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mazatlan Mexican restaurant in Depoe Bay is excellent. If here on holiday be prepared for major traffic on US 101 through Lincoln City. We food shopped in Newport rather than deal with it. We found some great buys at the Outlets in Lincoln City. The Drift Creek Falls hike is well worth it.

Lots of available space. Well kept. Close enough to the beach to be convenient, but far enough away to avoid the congestion. We camped at Wapiti RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a quiet rural area just east of Taft, south of Lincoln City proper and away from the beach. I would call it a campground rather than a park or resort. The office is out of the way and no RVs are allowed on the office access road (cars okay), but it was open until 9pm. Check in is easy once you get there. RV parking is side by side on gravel, around the edges of the access road and backing up to a huge grassy area.

Water and electric hookups only, with a dump station on the exit driveway. There are picnic tables and it looks like there were fire rings that have been removed. Many large, old trees are scattered around, though the area is mostly sunny and open. Restrooms are very old, but very clean, the women's shower was tiled and good sized, don't know about pressure or temperature as we didn't use. There are meeting spaces for groups, but no other attractions. Very quiet and sunnier and warmer than the coast. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wapiti RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very lovely campground close to all the activities we enjoy in Lincoln City and Newport! The park was clean and the on site managers were very friendly in helping us locate our space. We had questions about finding the Drift Creek Falls hike during our stay and they were able to direct us easily as to where we needed to go.

Overall, this campground was tucked back off of highway 101 which we liked but still close enough to get to grocery stores and our favorite hiking trails. We camped at Wapiti RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
