It's not the prettiest park, but it's great for an overnight. And where can you get cable and fast wifi for $20 ($25 for 50 amp) We stopped here to rest as there's not much on this stretch of 07. Checked out the laundry room and it was pretty nice. This park is located next to the fairgrounds (a tiny one) and has some monthly tenants. It was extremely quiet as its not on the highway. Power was strong... good water pressure.. and 34 channels of cable. Site was level and we didn't have to disconnect. What's not to like for $20? We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is not much of a park, but it was perfect for what we needed! We had been driving more hours than normal because of smoke from fires. We wanted a place to spend the night that had 50 amp service so we could use our air conditioning. The man on the phone was very nice and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. It's not a place I would stay long term, but like I said, it was perfect for what we needed! We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

I would agree with the other reviews....not much to look at but it's perfect for an overnight stay (however the view of the wheat fields, if that what they are, is very pretty and relaxing). The bathrooms are spotlessly clean, it's obvious that someone cares. A woman from the park came to collect the fee and she couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Dollar for dollar you can't beat this park for an overnight stay...$20.00 for 30 amp service, cable TV and fast internet what more do you need. Would not hesitate to recommend this park or stay here again in the future. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great bargain for the price. We had a level pull through site with full hookups including cable with 30 plus channels. All for $20.00. ($25 for 50 amp) The roads and sites are gravel. There are both pull through and backin sites plus a separate section for tents. There are few trees and would probably be quite hot in the middle of summer, but it's dog friendly and quiet. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice little park to get away from the crowds down along the Columbia River. And being at a higher elevation, it's usually a bit cooler than down at the Columbia River, which can be a nice during the hottest days of summer. During our visit the park was approx. 1/3 full of permanent residents. The park a bit older and somewhat rough around the edges, but clean and well kept. It sits up on a hill overlooking the town of Moro and offers pleasing views of the surrounding countryside. There's ample room for pet walking next door on the adjacent fairgrounds. Easy access to and from the park through the town of Moro. Very quiet at night. Super friendly and helpful camp hostess. Overall a good value at current rates. We'll definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It's probably a good idea to call ahead to check site availability during summer weekends. The camp host's telephone number is available through park website.

Easy to get in/out to the paved road. Very nice manager! The wind was howling during my one night stay but no problems. Power, water, sewer all worked well and the site was fairly level. Not fancy but served the purpose. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice pull through sites, level gravel with small grass strip. Coin laundry at entrance, with clean bathrooms & showers. Very friendly host, managing it for 6 years. Quiet, nice local views, but can be windy at times (not for us, though!). Wi-Fi was excellent. Only 30 amp was available when we camped. Less than 1 mile from 97, on an easy road. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This area is surrounded by soft white winter wheat fields harvested in August. Camp host recommended the Sherman County Museum, open May 1, and the Mary Hill Museum that has an excellent art gallery (about 20 miles North). Also, this campground has horse facilities available.

This is an old fairgrounds in the country that is still used for county fairs. We were pleasantly surprised by the location. It's on a hill with great views of mountains, sunsets, and with a little walk, the lights of all the wind turbines in the distance. And for $20, full hookups, cable tv, and adequate wi-fi. The only down was the somewhat close spaces. But they were plenty long pull through. A good place to spend the night. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have no idea how this park received such high rating. It's very narrow sites sit on rock with a dead weed patch between sites.

Could not completely open the awning or it would hit my neighbor.

It does have new restrooms and showers; that's the only plus.

This park was built in the 90s as a work camp for the people working on the wind turbines and there a good reason for wind turbines. It blows hard most of the time. It rocked our 30,000 pound motorhome all night.

Cable TV which the host touted is horrible. WiFi is slow, as is expected from an RV park.

If you're in the area go 20 miles further north to the Washington side of the Columbia river for much better parks. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was the first night of a long trip to places we have never been to. Chose this park because it was the only one that took us toward John Day OR from the Tacoma area in a one day drive that seemed decent. Only about 7 other trailers in park and I think they were full timers. Park had very new restroom/shower facilities that were roomy and very clean. Park was out of town about 1/2 mile and very quiet. Being part of the Grant County Fairgrounds made for excellent pet walking potential. The views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams were nice especially at sunset. We did not go into town so cannot say anything about it. The host was very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is owned and run by the County. It is a quiet little gem. Beautiful views of the rolling green hills and a lovely little town tucked in the valley. The park is sparse but more than adequate. With spacious pull- thrus. The restrooms and showers were spotless. Wifi was very good as was the cable. The camp host was extremely knowledgeable about everything within 30 miles. It was very windy when we visited. Well worth the 2 days we were there. It is $20.00 for 30 amp & $25.00 for 50 amp. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Mary Hill Art Museum, about 20 miles away, is really quite impressive. With beautiful Views of the Columbia River Gorge. Close by is a replica of Stone Henge built by Sam Hill as a monument to the first WW casualties.

Nice, quiet and clean park with beautiful views all around the camp ground. No bad sites! Clean laundry and bathrooms. Clean and tidy grounds with a few permanent residents. Camp hosts were very nice. They even allow dogs off leash. Clear vision for our satellite receiver. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camp in a 40' bus conversion with a tow and had no problems getting into park or out of. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.
