First, the bad. For the life of me, I cannot imagine why a resort charging $120 a night doesn't have wifi throughout the park. They only have it at the clubhouse and the office. That's simply absurd. That's my only complaint. The resort is simply fabulous. Our space is a pull-in site on a bluff overlooking the ocean and lighthouse. We can literally see whales from inside our coach. We have stayed in high-end RV resorts in all parts of North America, and views-wise, this one is far and away the best we've seen. Plenty of room to move around, concrete pads, all services worked well, helpful staff, well-maintained facilities, good laundry rooms, lovely landscaping. It's a very, very nice place. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

This is an "owners" resort where the lots are rented out. Beautiful setting right on a spectacular beach. Well kept grounds and peaceful. Very close to restaurants, shops, hiking, the harbor, etc. We stayed in site 184 which has a view of the ocean and lighthouse, and is a huge oversized lot. This resort is on the ocean, with spacious concrete sites and ample room to maneuver your coach. The clubhouse and grounds were immaculate. The price is a little steep considering there aren't many amenities or activities compared to other motorcoach resorts. There is direct access to the beach and the resort is close to town and Walmart, Rite Aid, etc. There is not a lot of action in the resort so it can get boring at times (not much people watching.) The employees are very nice and helpful. We stayed in a 45-footer with tow. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best Parks we have ever stayed. The Park has trails down to the beach and nice walking trail along the cliff. Amenities are wonderful and you really do feel you are at a "resort". We stayed when rates are low however it would be worth the value in the Spring and Summer. Lots are owned and available when owner not using the lot. Lots of great individuality to the lot landscaping. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

The place is immaculate. The sites are large and concrete with a manicured grass area. As they are mostly privately owned, some have walls and fireplaces etc. The staff is some of the friendliest we have dealt with. We had a nice view most of the time without paying for an ocean front. We had a monthly rate. We are going back next year! We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

We had an oceanfront space. What views, lighthouse, beach and the Pacific Ocean! Off to our left was a direct path to the beach. Lots of grass, paver sites with asphalt driveways. Lots of turning room. Easy on/off US 101. Close to town. If you want to have a view of the Pacific it doesn't get much better. It is pricey, but I'd recommend it. We had a back in that had a view out the windshield of the ocean and Yaquina Head Lighthouse. If the park was full, our view would have been severely obscured, though. I'd even recommend spending the money on an oceanfront for a couple nights to experience the park and what it has to offer. There is a path down to the beach - kinda long and steep though, if you have leg or fitness issues. The beach is uncrowded and long, with a few tide pools. There are several viewing areas up top to sit and enjoy the view, if you don't go down to the water. Level, concrete sites with great utilities. Indoor swimming pool and spa and sauna were great; windows in 3 directions, made the time in the pool even more enjoyable. Gate code for entry. Check in before 8:45 p.m. Park is nice to ride your bike around. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Less than 10 minute drive to Yaquina Head and Yaquina Bay lighthouses. Great tour at Yaquina Head with a guide who dressed and acted like an 1800's lighthouse keeper. The Rogue Nation brewery has two locations in Newport. The one on the south side of the bridge is better - cleaner, more spacious, and great views of the marina. Tours of the brewery are available. Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Walmart 5-10 minutes away.

Park's location is very nice in its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Little steep in price for this park, in that they are trying to refurb the park to a resort status. Plenty of room between sites, and no trees for blockage of any signals. Centrally located to visit nearby towns for plenty of beautiful picture taking. Take a couple of years to get this park to resort status but they are working hard every day. When that happens, the price will be OK but till then very pricey. The wind blows and it was cold coming right off the ocean which I enjoyed but could not cook out or put the awning out. Would return but would look before I pay the price. They have only one small disclaimer on their web site that notes the check-in time closes at 8:45 PM and if you get there later than 9:00 PM - - YOU GET TO SLEEP IN THE DRIVEWAY!!! Most customer service folks would ensure the info about checking in would be included in the myriad lists of rules they email you after you pay. Yes, they expect payment up front, but then don't let you in. I SPENT $120.00 TO SLEEP IN THEIR DRIVEWAY. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

I don't understand the previous comments. This is a wonderful RV Resort. We have stayed at "RV Resorts" much worse than this one and paid higher fees. The sites are paved and roomy with grass between. The hookups were modern and well maintained. It is a gated park requiring a keypad code to get in unlike most RV parks that allow entry after the office closes. We felt very safe because it was gated. The pool was heated. There was a large spa. the location was beautiful and overlooking a large beach. There were walking trails in the area between the beach and resort. Yes it is windy, but one expects that at the beach. You don't even have to get out of your coach to check in and they escort you to your site. We loved it and would stay there over and over. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

This is an ownership park (formally Outdoor Resorts), the sites are not finished as nicely as other ownership parks we have stayed at. All sites are pull-in with hook-ups placed for coaches very convient. We had an oceanfront site that had a beautiful view of the lighthouse and ocean. It is a very nice park that is well maintained but it is over priced and while we were here only a few sites were occupied. Not sure if we would pay this much again.
