Park is clean, has paved roads and sites plus good utilites. Our pull through site was long enough for our 38 foot fifth wheel and very large truck. Parking our jeep required some maneuvering. Both the office staff and camp host are very friendly. We are here in the off season and the park is virtually empty but when someone does pull into the site next door, you realize how close and narrow they are. The roadways are fairly narrow as well which might present a challenge for longer rigs when pulling out of the site, depending upon what is parked across from you. The campground also has an annex which is are gravel campsites next to a hotel as well as a dry camping area. We have been very happy during our stay and would return. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is a large asphalt lot with pull-thru sites on the harbor with a view of the bridge. Each site is bordered with landscape scrubs. The sites are on asphalt and long enough for both our fifth wheel and truck. The utilities were well situated and worked as expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a good location from which to see all the sights along US 101 in this area. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Best prices for crab is at the dock across the bay from the campground. There is a seafood shop with restaurant attached. Go there and avoid high prices south on US 101. Newport RV provides propane and service and repairs. Rogue brewery is located within walking distance to the campground. Good walking/biking paths nearby. Nice marine life center nearby.

Hookups in the center and worked well. Cable TV was limited and not HD, but, oddly, did not include Fox which could be annoying if you are a football fan. WIFI was okay most of the time, but weak or nonexistent at times. Seemed to be band width hogs nearby at times. WIFI is open to all, so no controls on usage. Otherwise, though, this is a great park. Rate is for monthly stay. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Depoe Bay and eat at Tidal Raves - sit at the "lunch counter", the best dining view on the Oregon coast and good food, to boot. Also, visit Lincoln City and Nye Beach. At Nye, eat at Nana's Irish Pub and Georgie's. Best Bar-B-Que is at the Brewery in Toledo, the Twisted Snout, I think.

Well maintained roads and pads everywhere, all paved. The vast majority of sites are pull thru's. Full services worked well except the park provided cable tv. Mgmt might as well save their money on it and turn it off. No trees of significance to interfere with Satellite signals. Very convenient to historic Newport and all the communities along Hwy 101, the Pacific Coastal Hwy. Sea lions across the bay are annoying though not overbearing. They hardly ever shut up except early mornings. Campground Host is fantastic with loads of excellent tips on the area. Best I have EVER encountered in 14 yrs. I would stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Historic Bay St is loaded with gift shops and restaurants. Excellent seafood available all over the place. A cheeseburger is a little harder to find but not impossible. Staff was terrific. Pleasant, friendly, very willing to assist with area points of interest.

Add the city tax to your bill and it comes to $39.00 per nite. A little high for this park as there are no amenities to speak of. Laundry room is great. 7 washers and 7 dryers (2 out of order). They could do a better job of policing the area. Lots of small pieces of paper and wrappers in the foliage at most every site. Water pressure is grand. 60 psi no problem. Pretty quiet park considering the number of fishermen and dogs here. Stayed 3 days. Beautiful location close to aquarium and old town. Would probably stay here again considering the other RV parks at the coast. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Says there are about 144 sites. What they don't say is that 52 sites are in "the annex". No tables. For "annex" with 52 sites there are exactly two (2) restrooms, both with showers, so if you just need a quick bathroom, good luck. No Good Sam discounts for The Annex, either. Laundry is on main site 1/4 mile away. Fairly clean, bathrooms very old. Sites ok. Located almost under the bridge, lots of traffic noise. WiFi would not connect over three days with several of our devices. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been here about half a dozen times now over the years and are usually happy with our stay. We had a level, gravel, pull though, FHU site across from the office. There about 40 perimeter, back in sites and there a 4 interior pull through rows with about 50 sites. Many of the sites in this main section appear to be taken by extended stay locals (OR, WA, & CA) and many of those have boats parked right next to them. The annex RV section across the road has about an additional 50 sites that appear to be mostly extended stay, working folks sites. The cable TV was about 25 channels and most sites in the main section appear to be satellite friendly. The WIFI worked OK until early evening. Previous reviewers are right about the main bath facilities in the office having only one shower. The marina bathhouse is close to many of the RV sites, I did not check out the annex bathhouse. The laundry in the main building is large and modern, but expensive. Unless you are a boater, there is nothing recreational in the park. The marina store was closed by the time I walked over there in the early evening. The recycling I found seemed to be for plastic, aluminum, and (I think) paper. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was our second stay. We had a pull thru was was long enough for our MH and Toad. A bit tight with the neighbors. Satellite was good as was AT&T.

WI-FI on the other hand was terrible. In this day of technology I want good WI-FI. When I could connect it was useless. It felt like 100 people trying to park in a single parking spot. No excuse for the terrible service.

The park host is outstanding! Also the office staff was very nice and helpful. The weather is outstanding. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a week in the Annex - the last site available!. There was plenty of room for our 40 foot motorhome and F150 truck. The park was ok, nothing too special, but the location was terrific. The Rogue Brewery and restaurant (you must eat there) are just across the street. Everything you want to visit in Newport is very close. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just a little further south on 101 is the South Beach Fish Market. Food is awesome.
And for breakfast, FishTails Café (close to the aquarium) can't be beat.

Park is easy to find with good entry and exit for big rigs. Very nice office staff. Roads are asphalt with paved sites. Sites are tight but with adequate room for awnings if wind ever permits using them. Some sites are better than others. Ours had untrimmed shrubs growing into an already very narrow site, which pushed into our slide but we couldn't move further to the right or we wouldn't have had room to park our truck. No picnic tables. Bring your own table if you need one. WiFi mediocre. Laundry was clean with a lot of machines but the dryers are expensive and don't work well enough to dry anything. We weren't the only people this happened to so it wasn't just us. Would go to a laundromat next time. Good areas to walk dogs. Great to be on the water. Constant barking of sea lions across the water was fun...not loud enough to bother anyone. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Walking distance to Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Sciences Center. California sea lions haul out on man-made platforms across the bay in Old Town Newport. Fun to watch. Parking in the old town section is very tight.

We paid a monthly rate of $780.00 they charged us $20.00 for our 2 cats that don't even leave our RV. I found that a bit much. Campground was satisfactory but a bit expensive for our taste. Very close and convenient to Newport. No amenities to speak of, they have WiFi that was hard to get on when the park was full. They only have 1 shower for the park unless you want to use the one at the marina and pay $1.50 for 3 minutes. The office was friendly enough but probably won't be back. First time at this park and were placed in the "annex" which is a gravel parking lot next to a Motel6. Restroom at the annex was not available so drove over to the restroom in the office (one restroom and one shower for the entire park). The only reason for a 2 rating vs 1 is the Rogue Pub and Brewery is right across the street. Even if you park in the primary park, the spaces are narrow with weeds between the sites and no picnic tables. Obviously we won't return. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.
