We have been here about half a dozen times now over the years and are usually happy with our stay. We had a level, gravel, pull though, FHU site across from the office. There about 40 perimeter, back in sites and there a 4 interior pull through rows with about 50 sites. Many of the sites in this main section appear to be taken by extended stay locals (OR, WA, & CA) and many of those have boats parked right next to them. The annex RV section across the road has about an additional 50 sites that appear to be mostly extended stay, working folks sites. The cable TV was about 25 channels and most sites in the main section appear to be satellite friendly. The WIFI worked OK until early evening. Previous reviewers are right about the main bath facilities in the office having only one shower. The marina bathhouse is close to many of the RV sites, I did not check out the annex bathhouse. The laundry in the main building is large and modern, but expensive. Unless you are a boater, there is nothing recreational in the park. The marina store was closed by the time I walked over there in the early evening. The recycling I found seemed to be for plastic, aluminum, and (I think) paper. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was our second stay. We had a pull thru was was long enough for our MH and Toad. A bit tight with the neighbors. Satellite was good as was AT&T.

WI-FI on the other hand was terrible. In this day of technology I want good WI-FI. When I could connect it was useless. It felt like 100 people trying to park in a single parking spot. No excuse for the terrible service.

The park host is outstanding! Also the office staff was very nice and helpful. The weather is outstanding. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a week in the Annex - the last site available!. There was plenty of room for our 40 foot motorhome and F150 truck. The park was ok, nothing too special, but the location was terrific. The Rogue Brewery and restaurant (you must eat there) are just across the street. Everything you want to visit in Newport is very close. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just a little further south on 101 is the South Beach Fish Market. Food is awesome.
And for breakfast, FishTails Café (close to the aquarium) can't be beat.

Stay here every time we are in Newport.Office staff very helpful. Host is great. Utilities worked fine. Sites are adequate for big rigs. Verizon OK. Dog friendly. Plenty of restaurants in Newport waterfront. Rouge Brewery and Aquarium within walking distance. Laundromat on premises. Will return. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is easy to find with good entry and exit for big rigs. Very nice office staff. Roads are asphalt with paved sites. Sites are tight but with adequate room for awnings if wind ever permits using them. Some sites are better than others. Ours had untrimmed shrubs growing into an already very narrow site, which pushed into our slide but we couldn't move further to the right or we wouldn't have had room to park our truck. No picnic tables. Bring your own table if you need one. WiFi mediocre. Laundry was clean with a lot of machines but the dryers are expensive and don't work well enough to dry anything. We weren't the only people this happened to so it wasn't just us. Would go to a laundromat next time. Good areas to walk dogs. Great to be on the water. Constant barking of sea lions across the water was fun...not loud enough to bother anyone. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We paid a monthly rate of $780.00 they charged us $20.00 for our 2 cats that don't even leave our RV. I found that a bit much. Campground was satisfactory but a bit expensive for our taste. Very close and convenient to Newport. No amenities to speak of, they have WiFi that was hard to get on when the park was full. They only have 1 shower for the park unless you want to use the one at the marina and pay $1.50 for 3 minutes. The office was friendly enough but probably won't be back. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

First time at this park and were placed in the "annex" which is a gravel parking lot next to a Motel6. Restroom at the annex was not available so drove over to the restroom in the office (one restroom and one shower for the entire park). The only reason for a 2 rating vs 1 is the Rogue Pub and Brewery is right across the street. Even if you park in the primary park, the spaces are narrow with weeds between the sites and no picnic tables. Obviously we won't return. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coming up on a "Holiday" we anticipated a night in the overflow area, but at check in a lovely young lady stated there was a full hook up site available for one night only, so we took it. Sites are a little close, but there is a bit of landscaping, hook ups were fine, utilities worked as well as the wifi. Some traffic noise during the day, but at night. Rogue Brewery was an easy 10 minute walk away for dinner. Long time campground host is a delight. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate based on monthly stay. Staff was very nice in the office but the real gem is the host. He offered us numerous ideas of day trips, restaurants, things to do and see. The Rogue brewery is expanding nearby and it looks like it will improve the former dry camping area. Our only complaint is that the WiFi worked rarely for us. There are great places to walk right out of the marina area and always fun to see what the fisherman caught. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The area restaurants are good namely Local Ocean, Georgies, the Rogue Brewery. Easy jumping off spot for day trips north, south and to McMinville. The Saturday farmers market was fun with very good produce and baked goods.

The best option for the area, the park is convenient and easy to access. The focus of the park is the attached marina and fishing, but it is a good base for any local visitor. Sites are mostly pull through and all are easy to navigate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We always stay there when in the area. Beware of the wind rising quickly and do not leave your awning out when away. The park Internet was pathetic. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Host Clay is a treasure, and really helped us enjoy our stay. He knows about everything about the area, provided an orientation, maps and brochures. Office staff was pleasant and professional, checked us in quickly. Pull through site is paved and level. Sites are separated by low shrubs. No shade, but you don't need it in this cool environment. Sites are wide enough for slides, but cozy. All the utilities worked. A lot of campers let their dogs roam off-leash, and we didn't appreciate that. But I would rate this park the best in the area, and a great base to explore Oregon's central coast. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed in this park several times before and it was fine. This time we were unfortunate enough to be here during halibut season. We were awakened at 3:45 am for 3 mornings in a row by our neighbors talking loudly and dragging fishing equipment around their campsite. I went out and asked them to please be a little quieter and was told "Welcome to fishing camp". I am a 71 year old woman and not used to that sort of rudeness. We reported them to the park staff who talked to them the next day. It didn't help much, but the halibut season ended 2 days later and the noisiest groups left. This is a pretty good park, most of the time but my advice is to check on the seasonal fishing schedule before making a reservation. Needless to say, we will probably stay in Lincoln City next year. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is in a great location. Sites in the main park are fairly close to each other, but well laid out, all paved. The "annex" is all gravel and grass sites, but more spacious. The best thing about the park is the Camp Host. He knows the town, the sites, the restaurants, what to do, where to go, and will gladly share that info. We would definitely go back. We were surprised to arrive during Newport's annual Seafood & Wine Festival which took place right next door to the Marina & RV Park so the park was extremely packed when we arrived. Even so, the roads were easy to navigate with plenty of space to maneuver for a big rig. It's basically a parking lot with some small shrubbery separating the spaces. Asphalt was new and pleasantly level. Camp Host was extremely helpful and checked on us several times to ensure we had everything we needed (could have been from the common ties we established when we first checked in). The view of the bridge and the harbor was awesome. Wifi was above average speeds considering us and 100 of our closest friends were probably all using it as the same time. We would stay here again for the proximity to everything Newport has to offer. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

We booked to stay 3 nights and enjoyed the park and area, we stayed 5. Beautiful view of bridge & marina. Most of the sites are pull thru paved, full service (including cable tv), Internet connection free (but not consistent), told they are updating system soon. Easy walk to aquarium, science center, marina docks & can walk to town over the bridge (1mile). Clay the park host was valuable in telling us all about the area, including good restaurants, fresh seafood shops. Clay loves greeting everyone, he'll show you to your site and very friendly chap. We found it hard to leave this area....beaches nearby, shops, restaurants close by. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.
