We have stayed here numerous times in the past. See my 8/13 review for a discription of the facilities and amenities. As usual, we had a level, FHU, pull-through. We stayed 2 nights but had to change sites to do so. There are about 50 pull-through sites in the center of the main section of the park park. They are surrounded by 40+ back-in sites around the perimeter. There is an 50 site annex section across the road and lots of parking lot space for boon-docking. On weekends even this area is packed. The cable TV is less than 30 channels but most sites are satellite friendly. If you are physically able, the walk across the bridge to the Newport bay front takes about half an hour. Like most parks on this trip, the internet connection just keeps getting worse as more people hog the bandwith. Even when we were able to get on, we were never able to stay connected long enough to write an e-mail or a review here. This is a decent park, in a great location that is very popular (especially on weekends). I saw some garbage cans that were marked recycling except glass. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Awesome location with a brewery and restaurant, and Aquarium within walking distance. Long fairly level pull through sites with some back-ins and some "pull ins" designed for motor homes; plenty of room and sites are paved. Good utilities; Good cable; No problem getting satellite. Perfect location for parking a boat at the marina with the boat launch next door. Excellent service checking in; and a very knowledgeable host. With a coupon from the reception, can ride the bus anywhere in town for free; otherwise costs $1! Highly recommend and we will stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good location for exploring the Newport area. Sites are adequate sized, and those on the perimeter offer some "pull-in" parking with views of the bridge and marina or bay (over the adjacent boat parking lot.) A little noise from boat trailer traffic at times, but not intrusive. Friendly efficient office staff. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great location when visiting Newport. Close to old town, crabbing and next to Rogue Ales Brewery and Distillary. There is adequate space between sites. The sites were concrete and level. Good satellite reception. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rogue Brewery and Local Ocean restaurant and fish market are both excellent. Go to Fred Meyer and buy an inexpensive crab trap and catch some beautiful crabs with the locals; an easy walk from your rig. Laundry facilities are excellent.

We were quoted a rate and charged one night when we made the reservation, but the price was more when we arrived to check in (this price includes tax). Pull thru paved sites are adequate size, utilities worked well. Restrooms were clean, but it seems there should have been more than one shower (and more than one toilet stall in men's) for the number of sites in the park. The location is wonderful for touring the coast and the setting is very pretty on the marina with the Yaquina Bay Bridge as the backdrop. Newport Bayfront is great; there is lots to see and do even right in and around Newport, let alone the rest of this stretch of coastline. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very clean, and all staff are friendly and attentive. The year-round host is frequently driving around in his golf cart ready to answer questions. He's very knowledgeable and helpful. The entire park is black-topped with small strips of ground cover, dirt and woodchips between sites, which are level, generous and spacious being both very long and wide. This is definitely a big-rig friendly park. Perimeter sites are back in, but all interior sites are pull-thru. The laundry room is very large and clean but $4 to do one load of laundry is pricey. This park was packed the entire week we were here. There is some noise from the fishermen launching their boats from their diesel trucks then hosing their boats down. Also, many diesel pickup trucks are moving about often but it quiets down at night. I'd say the hike to beach is about a half mile away. I'll definitely return. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rogue Brewery, Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Coast Aquarium are all within easy walking distance.

Nice park. A little noisy due to street traffic and fishermen washing down boats, cleaning fish, usual marina noise. Laundry is very nice but expensive, $ 2.00 per load to wash or dry. No picnic tables. Room to put a couple chairs out on the pavement. No grassy areas, just beach grasses between units. There is a small meeting room. Host is very friendly, knows all about the Newport area. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of tourist shopping. Aquarium is fun, quite nice for such a small town. Science center is great. Nice beaches.

Not visually attractive, but pretty good park. Didn't use showers, but laundry was very nice. Campground host was a great help. Good restaurants nearby, brewery and fishing pier within walking distance. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

We traveled here with an organized tour, so didn't make arrangements or pay by the night. I really enjoyed the campground. Sites were paved and flat, and roads through the park were adequate. We were parked in a "drive in - back out" site which was lovely, in a motorhome. I am betting the reviewer who rated the park a "1" had to back in to one of these sites on the perimeter with his fifth wheel, and then hook-ups would be on the wrong side. There are nice walks outside of the park for dogs, but no dig park. The Wi-Fi was inadequate. I enjoyed hearing sea lions and fog horns instead of traffic noise and railroad trains for a change! We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Arrived without a reservation, but was able to get a site. I paid for one night. I was ill on the planned day of departure, so I called the office and they initially told me that we would probably have to move to another site, as the space I was in was booked for that night. However, they were able to contact the person who had the booking, and that person agreed to take another site, so I didn't have to move. I feel that the folks in the office here went above and beyond what was required or even expected. I didn't even have to go to the office to pay for the additional day; they let me pay the next day before we departed.

I can't say enough good things about this park -- it had everything I needed, and the service was superior. We had beautiful views of the bay and the bridge, great dog-walking area, and the marina store was near our site. I heartily recommend this park as a stopover or destination for a longer vacation. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

The rate was for the weekly rate. The utilities, cable, and Wi-Fi are all excellent. The restrooms, showers and laundry were all modern and clean, $1 for wash and dry. The sites are very nice and pretty good size, The all are asphalt with shrubs and small trees in between. Very good layout and a great view of the water and the beautiful bridge. Busy here during the summer so make reservations far in advance for that time. Other than that doesn't seem very busy. It's our second time here in the last 4 years. We really like the town of Newport and the surrounding area is beautiful. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were unable to get into the full hook up part of the park, but they did offer dry camping adjacent to the park which was just fine. We had a nice view overlooking the harbor, which we probably would not have had inside the park. They have a water source and a dump for dry camping use. We stayed here for 4 nights and it worked out fine. It is within walking distance of the brewery. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice Park. It's all about location, location, location. Expansive sand beach about 1/4 mile (almost deserted when we were there in August). Although sites are not on the water (about 150' away) the park has a beautiful view adjacent to the marina. Oregon Coast Aquarium on block away. Fishing pier and crab dock just over the adjacent bay bridge...within one or two miles. Sea lions in the water at the pier, boat tours and fishing tours available. Several nice looking restaurants along the pier. Only two minor negatives: Spacing of slots was a little tight and Wi-Fi was almost unusable due to just too many users. This is inexcusable in today's camping environment. Bottom line: I would stay in this camp again without question. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean RV park with little separation from neighboring sites. (Mature shrubs would help.) We found ourselves in the middle of a large family reunion. Nice people, but felt if they could have been grouped together, everyone would have enjoyed their stay more. (Should have been easy to do, as all sites are identical.) Easy access to the Aquarium and the harbor, but town, restaurants and shopping are across the bridge, a few miles away. We would stay again, but will research other options as well. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.
