The park has paved roads and sites. some of the sites have shrubs between them. it is fairly easy in and out with a big. All the services worked well. It is a convenient spot to visit the area and walking distance to eh Aquarium. We like to stay here when in the area and will return again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very centrally located. The park itself could use some trees and grass, all pavement, gravel and a few shrubs. Check in was quick and easy. Good WiFi. Would stay there again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We usually spend our first couple nights on the Oregon coast at one or more of the smaller parks farther north. Unfortunately, the parks we checked in Garibaldi, Tillamook, and Lincoln City have all raised there rates to the $50/night level. Fortunately, we were able to get in here before the "Eclipse rush" started. See my 8/16 review for a more detailed review of the park. As usual, we had a FHU, pull-through site with cable TV and Wi-Fi that worked fine until it got dark. Although the bathroom facilities are a bit limited for this large a park, we had no problems accessing them when needed. The view of the Newport harbor front and ability to just walk across the bridge to town make this place special. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paved roads and sites well lit at night. FHU in a pull-in site. When we left we had to disconnect dolly and back up. CG is full every night. The bath has only one shower, the laundry is large with many washers and dryers. I think there is another shower area on the other side. The building is modern. Very nice walking/bike path that continues along Yaquina Bay. The large marina is right there with a lot of fishermen coming and going. Enjoyed seeing the lighthouses in the area. The Newport beach area is close by. The aquarium is a short walk. Rogue Nation is just across the parking lot. Very attractive area. Enjoyed our stay. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lots of asphalt very small grass area. Did not like it. Was told a wood fire in a enclosed pit with a lid was ok. Ten minutes later after I built a fire was called and told no wood fires. We like to camp, let the kids play and enjoy a campfire. Nice attractions close by but it's better suited for those who stay and fish not real camping to me. Internet is not very good. Did not try the tv. Stayed four days to watch the firework show only. Will not be back. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a paved lot with full hook ups. The wifi was weak but the cable was good. The pier area is huge with lots of areas to walk your pet. A right turn on the side walk outside of the park leads to the bridge and a long walk along the water. A left turn takes you to the overflow lot and the marina. Fresh fish is available most days as the fishing boats come in. We got fresh tuna right off the boat. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

We happened by this park by accident and when we saw the view of the big bridge, we were sold. It was more expensive than we like to pay, but it was worth it. 50 amp, excellent water pressure, asphalt almost level sites, cable tv and so-so free wifi. The location is what we paid for though, and it was pretty quiet considering we were also at a marina/rv park. We heard some foghorns early in the morning. Easy in and out on the wide roads, and the rv host was very friendly...even took us to the fish cleaning area to see people who had caught lots of fish, lots of Dungeness crabs and also some huge clams! He also suggested lunch at The Rogues brewery restaurant next to the park and it was great. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive up or down the coast and you will see some beautiful beaches and big rocks. We went to Seal Beach and South Beach one day, then up to the Yaquina Lighthouse area the next. Check out the old town area of Newport on the water. Lots to see and do in this area.

Just across the bridge from Newport and walking distance to Rouge Brewery. About 10 percent long term residents. It's a large parking lot with a small grass barrier between RV sites. WiFi was better than most campgrounds, but weak, causing internet to crash frequently. Our site was not level and close to other people. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient to the area with a good price. Power was good and pretty level spots. Easy in and out of the area and rv spaces. Pretty quite place. All in all a great place to stay for a few days. What I did not like was only one shower or toilet for the whole park. The grass next to your rv was dead and pretty much weeks. Have nuggets now and you track it in when you go into your rv. Still I would stay again if in the area. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great place all around. Easy in and out just off 101 by the big bridge at Newport (technically on south beach). Not huge but bigger style with asphalt roads, some shrubs between sites were nice but enough room between each to not be on top of each other. Office was easy to deal with. We arrived and didn't know how long we would stay so the spot was booked out for a few days for us. It was the week before Memorial Day and we knew we would not be able to stay the weekend but it was nice to have the flexibility of day by day until we found a place to go for the weekend. Cable, water, electric all worked well. Things were very tidy and a lovely environment on the wharf. There is a brewery right on the wharf and a lovely science marine institute to visit. Boats in the harbor and a lovely view of the huge bridge and bay. Go across the bridge for the sea lions August thru June. Plenty of businesses in the area for great sea food from mom and pop very local hole in the wall to up-scale fine dinning. Just by the marina (down the road a short walk) is Fish Tails and South Beach Sea Food which are both very local and fresh fish, crabs, etc. The haddock, cod, scallops and fried oysters were out of this world at South Beach. Ate there three times and has take away or small sitting area. Light house and beach all near by. WiFi was OK but usual for parks (best early early in the AM). Verizon Cellular was great. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Two light houses, one right at the RV park and one up the road a couple miles. Go to both, the second one has lots of sea birds on the lovely rocks and many tide pools to investigate. The eagles are getting to be so abundant that the smaller birds are having a hard time roosting because eagles steal their eggs. A seal was molting on the beach with rangers sectioning her off so she could be left in peace. A great gluten-free bakery with supplies is down in town on highway 101.

Nice coastal park for being in the city. No beach access, but great place to stay if going to Newport. Not far from state parks and beach access; but you will have to drive. Awesome view of the Newport Bridge (Yaquina Bay Bridge). Stayed there for the Newport Seafood and Wine festival. Outstanding location for traveling with a group for such an activity. The staff was friendly and the sites are well maintained. However they are close together and tight fit for large rigs. For this style of park, it is great. There is a nearby State Park on the beach... but you will not find sewer hookups or 50 amp power there. Plus you can't fit big rigs at that state park. So if you want 50 amp and pull through big rig spots, this is your best choice. No table or fire pits. No room for even your own table. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is clean, has paved roads and sites plus good utilites. Our pull through site was long enough for our 38 foot fifth wheel and very large truck. Parking our jeep required some maneuvering. Both the office staff and camp host are very friendly. We are here in the off season and the park is virtually empty but when someone does pull into the site next door, you realize how close and narrow they are. The roadways are fairly narrow as well which might present a challenge for longer rigs when pulling out of the site, depending upon what is parked across from you. The campground also has an annex which is are gravel campsites next to a hotel as well as a dry camping area. We have been very happy during our stay and would return. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is a large asphalt lot with pull-thru sites on the harbor with a view of the bridge. Each site is bordered with landscape scrubs. The sites are on asphalt and long enough for both our fifth wheel and truck. The utilities were well situated and worked as expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a good location from which to see all the sights along US 101 in this area. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Best prices for crab is at the dock across the bay from the campground. There is a seafood shop with restaurant attached. Go there and avoid high prices south on US 101. Newport RV provides propane and service and repairs. Rogue brewery is located within walking distance to the campground. Good walking/biking paths nearby. Nice marine life center nearby.
