We disconnected the toad so we could sight see. Great park. Easy access. We camped here in a 44 foot MH with a toad. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park and absolutely the best place to stay in this area. Very quiet and very well maintained. WiFi slow at times but good Verizon reception. Lots of sidewalks for daily walks. Oregon Coast Aquarium & some shops & restaurants within easy walking distance. Beautiful historic bridge and gorgeous sunsets. All paved interior roads and grass and some shrubbery between the roomy sites. We hope to return for a longer stay soon. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is situated adjacent to Newports historic bridge. Sites are close and laid out on pavement with very little vegetation. Laundry and washrooms are close by. Cable TV is adequate, but wifi collapses under a heavy load. Newport offers all shopping that is largely located on hwy 101 which runs through the city. Dont miss visiting old town located at Newport harbor. It is full of shops, pubs and seafood restaurants. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Like everyone else states this park is clean, people helpful. This is our 3rd stay at this park. The WiFi?!?! Are you kidding me? This place makes loads of $$ (like many parks) but they don't want to pay for better WiFi. Their website states: Limited Wi-Fi and they're right! It's limited to none when the park is full. But hey, they're making money! Also, no picnic tables or dog park. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very well maintained park, paved sites with hedges between them and a little bit of grass for the dog. Location is excellent to explore all the attractions in the area - it's fun to walk along the water by the marina. it's a busy place. Cable worked fine - WIFI to me was a little slow This is our second weeks stay here Some of the sites on the west side of the park that you can head into have utility hookups on the correct side We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great park! Easy pull through, flat spaces. Best thing is it is on the same property as the Rogue Brewing. OMG! I would seriously lose my husband to that place three or four times a week. We left with a few cases of Rogue products. We had intended to spend one month here, but ended up staying two. My husband would've parked indefinitely I'm sure. Great park. The people in the office are maybe slightly standoff-ish? But we found that much of the customer service in this area was like this. So maybe it's just how it is. Absolutely GORGEOUS sunsets. Paved roads and sites well lit at night. FHU in a pull-in site. When we left we had to disconnect dolly and back up. CG is full every night. The bath has only one shower, the laundry is large with many washers and dryers. I think there is another shower area on the other side. The building is modern. Very nice walking/bike path that continues along Yaquina Bay. The large marina is right there with a lot of fishermen coming and going. Enjoyed seeing the lighthouses in the area. The Newport beach area is close by. The aquarium is a short walk. Rogue Nation is just across the parking lot. Very attractive area. Enjoyed our stay. We usually spend our first couple nights on the Oregon coast at one or more of the smaller parks farther north. Unfortunately, the parks we checked in Garibaldi, Tillamook, and Lincoln City have all raised there rates to the $50/night level. Fortunately, we were able to get in here before the "Eclipse rush" started. See my 8/16 review for a more detailed review of the park. As usual, we had a FHU, pull-through site with cable TV and Wi-Fi that worked fine until it got dark. Although the bathroom facilities are a bit limited for this large a park, we had no problems accessing them when needed. The view of the Newport harbor front and ability to just walk across the bridge to town make this place special. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a paved lot with full hook ups. The wifi was weak but the cable was good. The pier area is huge with lots of areas to walk your pet. A right turn on the side walk outside of the park leads to the bridge and a long walk along the water. A left turn takes you to the overflow lot and the marina. Fresh fish is available most days as the fishing boats come in. We got fresh tuna right off the boat. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lots of asphalt very small grass area. Did not like it. Was told a wood fire in a enclosed pit with a lid was ok. Ten minutes later after I built a fire was called and told no wood fires. We like to camp, let the kids play and enjoy a campfire. Nice attractions close by but it's better suited for those who stay and fish not real camping to me. Internet is not very good. Did not try the tv. Stayed four days to watch the firework show only. Will not be back. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just across the bridge from Newport and walking distance to Rouge Brewery. About 10 percent long term residents. It's a large parking lot with a small grass barrier between RV sites. WiFi was better than most campgrounds, but weak, causing internet to crash frequently. Our site was not level and close to other people. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We happened by this park by accident and when we saw the view of the big bridge, we were sold. It was more expensive than we like to pay, but it was worth it. 50 amp, excellent water pressure, asphalt almost level sites, cable tv and so-so free wifi. The location is what we paid for though, and it was pretty quiet considering we were also at a marina/rv park. We heard some foghorns early in the morning. Easy in and out on the wide roads, and the rv host was very friendly...even took us to the fish cleaning area to see people who had caught lots of fish, lots of Dungeness crabs and also some huge clams! He also suggested lunch at The Rogues brewery restaurant next to the park and it was great. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Drive up or down the coast and you will see some beautiful beaches and big rocks. We went to Seal Beach and South Beach one day, then up to the Yaquina Lighthouse area the next. Check out the old town area of Newport on the water. Lots to see and do in this area.

Great place all around. Easy in and out just off 101 by the big bridge at Newport (technically on south beach). Not huge but bigger style with asphalt roads, some shrubs between sites were nice but enough room between each to not be on top of each other. Office was easy to deal with. We arrived and didn't know how long we would stay so the spot was booked out for a few days for us. It was the week before Memorial Day and we knew we would not be able to stay the weekend but it was nice to have the flexibility of day by day until we found a place to go for the weekend. Cable, water, electric all worked well. Things were very tidy and a lovely environment on the wharf. There is a brewery right on the wharf and a lovely science marine institute to visit. Boats in the harbor and a lovely view of the huge bridge and bay. Go across the bridge for the sea lions August thru June. Plenty of businesses in the area for great sea food from mom and pop very local hole in the wall to up-scale fine dinning. Just by the marina (down the road a short walk) is Fish Tails and South Beach Sea Food which are both very local and fresh fish, crabs, etc. The haddock, cod, scallops and fried oysters were out of this world at South Beach. Ate there three times and has take away or small sitting area. Light house and beach all near by. WiFi was OK but usual for parks (best early early in the AM). Verizon Cellular was great. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Two light houses, one right at the RV park and one up the road a couple miles. Go to both, the second one has lots of sea birds on the lovely rocks and many tide pools to investigate. The eagles are getting to be so abundant that the smaller birds are having a hard time roosting because eagles steal their eggs. A seal was molting on the beach with rangers sectioning her off so she could be left in peace. A great gluten-free bakery with supplies is down in town on highway 101.
