This park is across the street from the beach. You can drive to the water and relax or walk. Check in was fast and easy. Lots were well spaced with grass between each site. Store was well stocked from groceries to clothing. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Park was full but the way it is arranged did not seem crowed. Nice brewery and pub and other eating places close by. All hook ups worked well with lots of cable channels. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

After reading previous reviews I expected this to be an amazing campground. It is not. The front area has been well maintained; nice store, nice check-in, but the rest of the park is showing lots of wear and tear. The asphalt roads and sites are in bad shape; my site had plastic bags stuck in the bushes and there was dog poop all over a park model yard. The plants were not maintained and the grass, what there is of it, was mostly brown. My site, for $51.00 was worth about $21.00. The place was packed; screaming kids, some seasonals with older and not well maintained rigs, etc. Overall it was very overpriced and would not stay again or recommend it. As an aside, I stayed in a park/resort the night before in another location of Oregon - right on the water/bay with beautiful amenities, grass between asphalt sites, impeccably maintained - for $37.00. Much more for the value. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 3 nights to visit friends who spend winter months at the Coast. Since it's a bit off Hwy 101, we never knew Pacific City existed. But what a nice surprise to find such a beautiful RV park in an unassuming location. The Park offers many convenient, well-maintained amenities. For dog people there is a small pet area, but best of all there is a wooded area in the back of the park adjacent to public land, where they can roam off leash. The only negative we found is that they planted new trees at the front of each site by the road, impairing the maneuvering in and out of the sites. We could tell rigs had already touched some of them. Once they get big - it'll get a lot harder and should have been planted further into the sites. The huge, endless beach is just across the street and allows 4x4 vehicles on it. Dogs are allowed off leash. There are several eateries within walking distance. I'm guessing during the summer months it can get quite crowded here. A gas station near the Park carries Diesel fuel. We will definitely return to this Park! We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Park is only about 30 minute drive in either direction between Tillamook (cheese and Air Museum) and Lincoln City, with lots to do in either City. I'd go online to investigate possibilities. Although the Park's store is quite well stocked, any big shopping for food etc is better done in Lincoln City. There is a Bi-Mart (requires $5.00 membership fee one can get there) that carries just about everything. Or go to Tillamook and fill up with cheese and ice cream!

We visited this resort and are very satisfied, the resort is across from the beach and the Pelican Pub/Brewery. The staff is friendly and the store a selection of groceries. There needs to be some maintenance done to the sites and the roads. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the second year in a row that we have been able to get a site here even though this destination park is almost always full during the busy summer months. We had a fairly level, gravel, back in, FHU site with 70+ channel cable TV. Most RV sites are back in and not very spacious. There are also dozens of cabins and tents sites. The park has an indoor pool and spa, a playground, volleyball and basketball, etc. for recreation. Plus, it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach and sand dunes. There are 2 bathhouses (old, but clean) that are nowhere near adequate for a park this size that has tent sites and lots of families and kids. One bathhouse also has a small (4 of each machine), cheap (I did a load for $2.25) laundry. There is a market and gift shop in the main building. As usual on this trip, the WIFI was OK until it started to get dark. I did not see any recycling. Most of the staff was young and trained to be friendly. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our second visit here and for whatever reason we didn't get a full hook up site; just missing dump which turns out to be only a short distance away near the shower/laundry room so it wasn't a big deal. Beach and one of the Oregon Haystack Rocks just across the street. Welcoming reception staff and great, fresh seafood as well as plenty of supplies and souvenirs in the store. Indoor pool a nice attraction but did not use and left it to the kids. Water and electric functioned properly; community dump was easy enough, as long as there wasn't someone using the adjoining area as an overflow parking lot (prohibited by signage, but ignored).

Very busy park with cabins, families, carts, traffic but worth it if you know what you are in for. I'd make my usual complaint about smoke from neighbor's camp fires but we found that everywhere this summer so it must be acceptable practice these days. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The taco place across the street as well as the Pelican right next to it are way better than the pizza restaurant on site; although the park deli makes a tasty breakfast sandwich and will make it fresh for you if you ask.

We've stayed here twice and enjoyed our stay both times. The park is full of rabbits so our dog was on point 100 percent of the time! Close walk to the beach. Everything you need close by. Lincoln City is 20 miles south. It's a very busy place and beach so if your looking for solitude, this isn't the place. Great place for kids. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

A bit pricey, but it is a resort area. Very well maintained nice park. The only item I disliked was an over population of rabbits. They were cute, but they poop all over, dig holes everywhere, and drive the dogs crazy! Walk right across the street to main beach. Restaurants very close. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great location with only a two minute walk to the ocean and tide pools. Had a pull-thru site near the office/store. All hookups worked well but the site was not that level. Wi-Fi was fast with a strong signal. Pleasant and efficient check-in. Nice fully stocked small grocery store and gift shop. There is a craft brewery with a nice restaurant across the street as well as a burger/fish & chips/ taco restaurant and a pizza place. Domestic bunnies of all colors all over the park. I had some baby carrots with me and they became my best friends. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our site seemed close in to others; it was a pull-through. Not level but not bad. A lot of rabbits running around kept our pooches on guard. Office is located inside the store which is stocked nicely and has a deli. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Reserved well in advance since this was high season. Got a pull thru for the asking, fairly level with some shade. All folks at registration, store and cafe very pleasant and accommodating; obvious maintenance going on all the time. Right across the street from the beach (there's a beach web cam on their site) which allows vehicles (we did not risk it but many surfers, and others, did). FHU all functioned properly; I did not try the cable hook up, may have just missed it or perhaps my site didn't have it, and, I don't recall being given a list of cable channels at registration so....., maybe they don't have it? Gale force winds (no kidding!) our last night and day but staff was always out keeping driving paths open and assisting RVers with reeling in unruly awnings, chairs, etc. Pricey but I'd stay here again. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The pizzeria right next door was ok but the real good beach food is the taco shop across the street. Campground store also has locally caught seafood.

This is the first time we have been able to get a site here. We stayed here one weeknight the first week of August and had a fairly level, FHU, back-in site. Most of the 120+ RV sites are back-in, but there are some that appear to be pull-in sites. There are also about a dozen tent sites and twice that number of cottages. Except for the tent sites, the other sites are very close together. I believe all RV sites have 60 channel cable TV. Some sites may be satellite friendly. The big negative is their 802.11 network which is completely unreliable. They have not yet figured out how to prevent selfish customers from over-loading the bandwith by using multiple devices and doing things like streaming, skyping, etc. There is an indoor pool, a club house, and a playground. There are 2 bathhouses and one includes a laundry facility. It is a 5 minute walk to the public beach across the street. There are several local restaurants near the entrance to the park. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

As others stated the space from site to site is a tad tight but my 3 slideouts no problem.. Service pedestal is good with 30 and 50. Great cable tv .. Wifi is so so as to be expected. Checkin was quick and courteous.

Main facilities nice with store, sand which shop, fresh seafood catches, Tillamook ice cream, etc

We are using this location as our central hub to make short excursions up and down the coast. I'd return here again.

We also looked at several other locations as we drove by them and I'd have to say for our needs we made the best choice..

Pet friendly... A big plus. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this park for a month, paid the monthly rate of $639.00. A great value for being across the street from the beach. Our site was clean, a bit narrow. The park is well maintained and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were immediately available for any issues at your site. Our dog got sick and the staff recommended a wonderful vet for us. We will definitely return to stay again. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. WiFi not so hot, they are currently having trouble with their cable vendor - I did not bother with the free cable box they offered. For my size they put me in a tight spot that was tough to get in. Had a nice clean indoor pool. Great value for the price. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.
