No cell service. The lady at the front deck didn't seem to want to answer questions. The park itself was nice most spaces had shrubs dividing you from your neighbor. Some sites were tight the roads were narrow for big rigs. The sites are dirt, no grass. Would like to stay longer, but I need cell service for my business. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

Cannot recommend this park, it is not big rig friendly, VERY narrow road, part ashaly, part gravel, filled with pot holes, site needed a lot of trimming because of over growth. Water line was broken, sites left without water for almost 24 hours. We received no warning. We stayed here in a 40 footer and will not return. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

We managed to get full hook ups at this first come, first served park. We bounced over 12 "speed curbs" to get here and fortunately our rv was still in one piece. The deferred maintenance at this park has been deferred way too long. It appears the only money they put into the park is for "speed curbs." The gravel/dirt roads have so many pot holes in them I don't know why they thought they needed to add "speed curbs."

Our dirt site was pretty level and spacious. My hotspot couldn't get a signal in the park and the park's wifi was as slow as dial up, so I had to go into town to get internet and cell signal. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

Spaces are close together, good 120 volt ac, water. There was sewer at some sites, but all were taken. Staff was very nice. Wifi not so good. Potholes need to be addressed. All and all, we enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

This is NOT a Big Rig RV friendly place. Do not be suckered in by the wonderful promotional video done by the Owens (Owens are HGTV/Travel Channel personalities who are paid to create travel videos and shows.) This park may have 100s of spots, but only 1 through 46 are Sewer/Full Hook Up RV spots. And most of those will not accommodate Big Rig RVs. You must reserve stay through Thousand Trails. I was told at the time of my reservation that it would accommodate RVs over 40'. However I was NOT told this was a first come, first serve park. In other words... you are NOT guaranteed a specific spot with power or Sewer or of a certain size. Spots are assigned on a first come first serve basis. So the day of my arrival came and no available spot with Sewer or which would fit my RV. They would NOT refund my $40 deposit stating spots were still open. What is the point of even taking reservations if you truly are unable to reserve a spot for you RV. Thus if you don't care what type of spot you get, you will probably enjoy this park. It is not in a bad location. But if you have a big rig and require large spots WITH full-hook ups, this is not the park for you. Also as a side note you are limited to only two dogs per spot! We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't stay here with a large RV. Or if you want sewer. For the price it is really sucks. Stay at the Oregon State Park for better hook ups and cheaper price.

Typical TT park. Needs updating. Staff was friendly, pool looked clear. Nice club house with view of the Pacific. We had a nice spacious site with 30 AMPs but many of the sites here are narrow. Good luck getting one of the sewer sites. Our surge protector reported low voltage but the maintenance man came quickly and rectified the problem. My only real complaint is the terrible roads. Some spots are so bad I was hesitant to tow my portable dump tank to the dump station. The roads seemed confusing to us when we first arrived but we got the gist of the park in no time. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

Narrow and rough roads, many potholes and blind corners. Confusing road configuration, actually had someone stop and ask me for directions to get back to park entrance. Some spaces are pretty tight and many are occupied full time by members. Had to search for a suitable space for 35' 5th wheel so wouldn't say it was particularly big rig friendly. Nice swimming pool and club house. No WiFi or Verizon signal, and we were unable to get satellite from our site. Probably would not camp here again even though we are 1000 Trails members. Tips for other Campers:

Scenic area. Had a good pizza in Pacific City, don't recall restaurant name but on east side of hwy across from beach access. Nice trail at Lookout Cape but was foggy and muddy the day we tried it. Went to Air Museum near Tillabrook, was interesting. WW2 blimps housed in this very large hangar, claims to be largest free standing building in world. Would recommend a visit although the plane collection wasn't that extensive or unique the building itself is cool.

Park is roughly 35 years old and shows it. Restrooms are generally cleaned once per day and checked several more times a day, so it can become dirty.

The lodge is pretty nice and has a great view of the ocean. Be aware that the park is situated inland a ways, not on the beach. There is a trail from the CG to the beach. You can drive down to, and on the beach itself.

As this is an older park, many of the sites are far too small for even a moderate sized (30'+) fifth wheel/travel trailer to park along with the tow vehicle. You'll have to be selective. And it is first come, first served. No reserving or holding sites.

There are a couple tight loops where big rigs shouldn't even attempt to go, A and I Loops. B loop is old growth forest as is A and they close in the winter due to "widow makers" falling. They also close parts of F, J and K loops too.

Very few sewer sites, no cable, 20/30A only. Two dump stations.

Indoor pool and outdoor hot tub.

The is one redeeming feature to the park, well, two actually. Close proximity to the beach and the sites are pretty private with lots of vegetation in between them. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Pelican Brew Pub, in Pacific City is pricey, but with a great view, plus they brew their own award winning beers. Typical pub fare, right on the beach.

Los Caporales is a good Mexican restaurant in town. Be aware it's closed on Mondays.

There is one small grocery store and the prices are what you'd expect in a small coastal town. There's only one gas station too.

Huge property, long, hilly and windy road just to get to main portion of sites. Beautiful part of the coast, although ZERO cell service, which forced us to leave earlier than we had planned.

Sites have good separation between them, with trees and foliage throughout. Electrical and water worked just fine.

Main lodge had a water break during out stay, and they were forced to close access to the building. Pool was closed due to the winter season.

On the plus side, on a clear night you can see a gajillion stars in the sky. With the park being right along the coast and away from any city lights, perfect for star gazing. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff was amazing! There was a ton of activities in and outdoors for the kids. The campground was very nice. There's a nice trail to a beautiful beach. I will be going back to this resort. I had a fantastic time there. I would recommend to anyone. I also hear they serve breakfast for a certain time as well as various activities throughout the season. We are Thousand Trails members. This park has extremely poor roads. There were too many unavailable sites that have been leased to people whose leased sites were unoccupied. Too many people left after 12 p.m., the official checkout time and the staff did not enforce the check out time. So, we were unable to get a sewer site, but still a nice elec/water site near the restroom. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

Park is very hilly and roads are in need of some improvement. The restrooms are very clean. Very nice family lodge. Could only get internet at the lodge and then it is spotty. Unable to use your phone at the campsite. Laundry is clean and well maintained. Nightly rate reflects our membership. Very nice that one can pick your own blackberries and huckleberries. Love that. We will return. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Travel Trailer.

This park is nice (big) and has beach access if you are lucky enough to get a close site where you can walk to it. You do have to cross a highway to get to it but wasn't bad. Otherwise, the beach is close by and you can drive there. It is hilly and curvy and there are some tight areas, some roads needed some maintenance. Some sites are hard to get into with larger trailers 34'+. Sites have bushes and trees for privacy, which is always a plus for us. Picnic tables and a "fire ring" (a semi- trailer wheel) at each site. There are rabbits throughout the park, more at some sites than others. The pool is enclosed and nice mini golf course. There is no cell service in the area (US Cellular) and no TV reception, which didn't bug us any. If you go out of the park there was cell service if needed. Not many sites with full hook ups. We had to scope the place out for people leaving the full hook ups sites the next day after we got there since we were staying a little over a week, then moved, we got very lucky. A lot of sites were leased sites and not available to use. This RV park is out there a ways but we thought it was the best compared to others in the areas we were visiting, such as Seaside, more private than some RV parks. We enjoyed our stay. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in a Class B motorhome. The roads inside the park are in terrible shape and it is a steep climb to most sites. The campground appears to be badly managed - needs a lot of work. Other campers didn't appear to be aware of normal camping etiquette. After paying a premium price for our site, someone parked on our site in front of our camper without even requesting permission. I had to go seek them out and ask them to move. Our neighbors were very noisy and no one was enforcing quiet times. The staff is not available until 10am - not acceptable. There was no recycling - unforgivable for Oregon. There was no usable wireless and no cell phone service. We will not be going here again, especially at the exorbitant price. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a Getaway and our friends stayed in a cabin. Both were extremely clean with wonderful views and had everything you could possibly need. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities in this park are really nice like the store, pool and the family center. Wish we lived closer as we would return often and even bring our motorhome but we live on the east coast. Many of the campsites were private. Roads with higher views were steep but even big rigs and 5th wheels were everywhere. Loved the location as lots of beaches and wonderful scenic drives nearby. Central coast so you could go north or south for lots to see and do. The price listed is $0 but there was a cleaning fee of $95 for the week. We had no fee as Getaways are given to members for different reasons such as upgrades or they can be purchased from Preferred Access for the week. They always are from Friday to Friday and on PA go for around $699 for the week if listed as a last minute purchase. Otherwise I believe they can be exchanged in the condo exchange system even though they aren't really condos but are park model mobile homes with a living room, dining area/table, then full kitchen. This one had a regular stove with full oven plus a microwave. It had a full bathroom and a queen bed in the bedroom. The sofa was a hide a bed with a comfy air mattress type bed inside. It was decorated in a woods theme with very nice pictures and decorations on the wall. It was a very nice unit. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Cabin.

Tips for other Campers:

Loved Three Cape Scenic Loop, especially Cape Meade's lighthouse. Tillamook Cheese Factory had great cafe and creamery for lunch and ice cream. Further north Ecola State Park overlooked Cannon Beach/Haystack Rock and was great state park. Seaside was nice day trip. Depoe Bay nice little town. Newport Hatfield Marine Science Center was free and really nice. Nice stop going south was Otter Rock. Yaquina Head lighthouse worth seeing as was Devil's Punchbowl State Park.
