Stayed 2 nights. Beautiful site under trees. Each site seemed private with fairly good space between each site. There are sites for tents and RVs sized for each. Lovely trail to beach and to light house. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here 2 wks. This park is very nice and sits about 5 miles west of Hwy101. It is first come first served if the "full" sign is out, it is full. Be aware that only about half of the sites are big rig friendly. Sites are back-in, level, private with water and 50amp electric. Unfortunately the dump station is closed but there are drains to dump wash water and a central bathhouse is available. The place is very windy, but beautiful with trails to the beach, lighthouse and an early settler house. The hosts are very helpful. Firewood is available but we were there during a fire ban. If you have an extra vehicle besides your RV and toad it costs $7/day. The lighthouse tour is $2pp. A beautiful park. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were looking for a CG that would provide views of the ocean as well as hiking trails. We're self contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed weeknights in late August in our 25 foot MH.

This is a gorgeous CG on a bluff 240 feet above sea level. There are sites along the bluff with nice ocean views through the trees. Site A40 does not have a view, however, is very private and across the road from the trail to an overlook, beach, and trail system.

Most of the sites are good sized with level asphalt pads. The CG map lists pad size for each site and they range from 30-80 feet. Most have trees for shade and privacy. The shower is clean with push button operation and hot water. The dump station is out of commission for the foreseeable future. Campers may use the dump station at any other OR State Park CG for free after a stay at Cape Blanco.

There's no wifi. There's good Verizon and ATT coverage. The CG is clean and well maintained. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The lighthouse, historic house and historic cemetery are interesting places to visit and are accessible by hiking trails or roads. There are several access trails to walk down to the beach. There are several picnic tables at common areas in the CG and along the trails with gorgeous views.

This is an incredible park that feels quiet and secluded even when full or close to being full. This is one of the few state parks on the coast that does not take reservations. We arrived at 2pm on a Monday in the middle of August. They had some sites. When we left on Wednesday for touring we noticed the campground full sign was out. It was not out when we left on Friday. The setting is wooded. Some of the western sites might get a glimpse of the ocean through the pines. There is plenty of space between sites. Most have thick vegetation between them. There are many hiking opportunities: to the lighthouse, to the Sixes river, to a historic house, and to the beach. The beach access is on a steep one way road not suitable for RVs. The shower building has individual tiled stalls with a shower area and a drying area. You had to push a button for several minutes of water. Water was lukewarm. The drying area had a small round wooden stool which you can either use to sit on or to set your items on but not both. This park does not have a functioning dump station. It does not look like it will for the foreseeable future. You can use the other state park dump stations. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest Oregon State Parks, the only downside is it is first come first serve. Find an available site and then register at the kiosk. We got the last site available upon arriving early on a Saturday. Hosts said that campground has been totally full all season. Lots of trails to explore and of course the light house. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

May29,30 Cape Blanco State Park, Port Orford, Oregon. 52 electrical sites with water, first come first serve, $22, We stayed two nights arriving Memorial Day to camp at this beautiful park that everyone raves about. The sites are huge and private and some have on a clear day a view of the ocean through the trees. The bathhouse with hot showers is in the center of the one big loop with tree lined walkways to it. Hosts were very nice. It is a self- registration campground where you pick your site then register right next to the hosts site. Typical Oregon State Park - fire wood $5, a hiker-bike camp ($5 per person and no biker can be turned away) and a horse camp with trails. There are hikes around the park and short drives or bike rides to the oldest lighthouse in Oregon. This park is located at the state's westernmost tip. There is also an early Irish settler's home in the park as well as a cemetery and ruins of the old church. The hike down to the beach from the campground loop is all down hill. You may drive down with a car but not with a RV. We rode our ebikes down and up. One can also reach other beaches from the parking near the lighthouse. The trail looks easier. RV's need to park and walk up to the lighthouse or drive their tow. The settler's ranch and lighthouse have tours Thursday through Monday. Beautiful views and a nice park. It was full Memorial Weekend but the next two nights about half the sites were taken but it was during the week. I am glad that we stopped here. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

One of the best state parks we've ever visited. Large private sites in middle of mature forest. Clean bathrooms with free hot showers.. Moderate cell reception with Verizon. Did find a signal for our TV satellite. Beautiful beach nearby. Dump out of service. Loved fact all walk-in because we travel without reservations. About 1/4 available late Tuesday afternoon. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our second stay here and it won't be the the last one. This park is hard to beat. $22 for a paved and level site with water and power. And hot showers if you don't mind the short walk to the bathhouse. Cape Blanco is five miles off the highway just a stroll away from the ocean shore and the lighthouse. Don't expect any ocean views though, the sites are all under trees, only a few are somewhat open. However, all sites offer excellent privacy and it's so quiet out here. Hiking trails and beach walks wait for you. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Truck Camper.

This is our favorite Oregon State Park. There is a maze of trails through the dense forest between the campground and the ocean bluffs. There is a great beach to walk or drive on too. It is very quiet here and well protected from the storms. Plenty of large sites (compared to many other coastal state parks) for big rigs too. Nice hosts and park employees along with the well maintained facilities make this place a ten! Host sites with sewer hook ups are available to the public during the winter season. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It would be nice if all state parks could reach the level of Cape Blanco State Park. The park is beautifully laid out my large very private campsites. There are lots of interesting trails adjacent to the campsite to go either for a stroll or a serious hike. The setting is deep and dense forest on a bluff overlooking a stunning beach and bay, with the lighthouse not too far off in the distance. I could hear the waves crashing below from my campsite in the mood changed frequently with the fog drifting in or out. The campground seems to be exceptionally well run. We were approached by the camp host who was on duty. He was very outgoing and help us select our site and fill out the forms. It was very hospitable and welcoming.

The showers and bathrooms were well-maintained despite the constant onslaught of kids tracking dirt and pine needles in. in. With the heavily wooded campsites, there was a nice feeling of privacy, though you could hear the sounds of other campers. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

Plenty of room for our Class B RV. Our shaded site backed up to trees along the cliff overlooking the beach. full hook up, wood available for campfires. We will return to this State campground.

We were lucky to get a site that was just being vacated. This is a very popular campground and in the summer at least, looks like it's almost always full. It was very foggy and windy and quite cold when we stayed there, but still a great campground. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful area, campground well kept. Thick woods and shrubs afford very private sites. Paved, level, 50 amp service and water. Unfortunately the dump station was out of service due to drainfield failure. Wind was not a factor, nice walk to the beach and to the lighthouse. They are first come, first served for the RV sites, firewood available from camp host, and bath/showers are in excellent condition, well maintained and clean. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 nights while we toured the Oregon coast. Nice campground with w & e only. The dump station was out of service while we were there. During our stay the wind was blowing most of the time but with all the surrounding vegetation we were blocked from most of it. They have a few very long sites which we needed. I think our site was 81' back in. We had to disconnect our car hauler and move it in to the site by hand due to the roadway only being wide enough for 1 vehicle. This was not a problem for us, just thought I would mention it. We are 65' feet with the mh & car hauler. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

What a gem! Five miles off the 101 Cape Blanco is well worth the detour. The campground is located in the woods, most sites are heavily treed, so no ocean views. But the Cape with the lighthouse is only a 20 minute stroll on a very nice trail along the coastline. More trails within the park.

The sites are well spaced and mostly surrounded by shrubs and greenery. Excellent privacy. Super quiet at night. Our site was level and provided good hookups. I think there were about a dozen sites that would accommodate our 34' fifth wheel and allow maneuvering. We had Verizon reception that was excellent at times but almost dropped out for hours in the evening.

A trail leads down to the beach where you can walk all the way back to the Cape and up to the parking lot there.

We will be back and enjoy a few days here. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is another excellent Oregon State Park! Five miles off Hwy 101 and very close to the ocean which means a very quiet park and a good nights sleep. As stated before, satellite access is difficult, almost impossible, however we were able to pick up the Dish satellite on our roof-mount from our site. Probably 5% of the sites will have satellite access. Verizon voice and data worked fine for us here. Most sites are heavily treed and offer great privacy. The bathrooms are clean and the entire park is clean and well kept. If you enjoy Oregon State Parks, this is one of the best. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
