Great location for exploring the area. The camp hosts were very nice. Our site was shaded and big enough. WiFi and cell service was practically nonexistent but who cares, you are camping. If WiFi and cell are important to you, then camp somewhere else. You are in a national forest for you will not have good cell anywhere nearby! It was a great location for going to Crater Lake, exploring the waterfalls and trails nearby. We checked out a day earlier than our reservation and they refunded the night that we did not stay. Would have given the park a higher rating but bathrooms are in serious need of updating. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This was our 2nd stay here. Small campground with sites mingled among the tall trees with plenty of shade. Site was paved and fairly level. Plenty of room for my 5th wheel & truck, interior roads are easy to navigate. Staff is great. Wi-fi at sites are spotty to say the least (you can head up to the office if you really need to connect with the outside world). Great area to explore Crater Lake NP and the numerous waterfalls in the area. We will stay here again. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We were very pleased with this campground. It is not a large campground, but our spot was plenty large enough for our fifth wheel. The staff is so very warm and helpful and had a free hot dog and s'more night while we were there. Their WiFi only works if you are very close to the office. We had limited Verizon coverage, but could make phone calls and usually could text. If you go into the town of Prospect (right across the street), you can use the library's WiFi (no password needed). Also, the pizza place in town has WiFi that works very well. If you need an open spot for your satellite dish, just ask and they try to put you in an open spot. We used our own dish and had no problems getting a signal. It is an excellent spot to get to so many beautiful areas. Again, the staff is amazing and so helpful. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The laundromat in Prospect is just OK. It smells a bit, but I did use it without any other problems. There are so many beautiful waterfalls nearby and the office has a map with many sites to go to. If time, go to Lemolo Lake Falls, Toketee Lake Falls and Watson Falls. Diamond Lake was a gorgeous area and we had WiFi there! Eagle Point is the closest Walmart so if coming that way, stock up in that part of town.

This is a lovely campground in a gorgeous, remote setting. Grounds are very well maintained and staff was very helpful. Lots of maps to various natural highlights are given at check-in and there are two walking trails directly behind the Resort. One direction follows the Rogue River, the other takes you to Hidden Lake where you can fish for trout. Virtually no cell signal, wi-fi was only accessible by sitting at the office porch and we were parked under a huge pine so no sat for us so we pretty much unplugged for the week. If we drove over to Prospect (about a mile away), we could get a phone signal. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We pull a 43' fifthwheel. Entry into park from the road is very easy. This park is in the middle of a pine forest. Front office staff are wonderful. Lanes are paved and easy to navigate for a 43" fifth wheel. Sites are paved, level and long with lots of area between w/ picnic table. We had site 54 - absolutely gorgeous. Lots of privacy and tall pine trees. Utilities are well placed and work well. No Cable TV. No Satellite access. WIFI is very weak. No AT&T Cell service and no Verizon broadband WIFI. This is a very remote rugged mountain area and those services are just not available. No Dog park. No pool. No kiddie play area. Some mosquitoes at sunset. Propane sold in the park. 4 Host couples are wonderful.. They host coffee & muffins on Sat. morning and a hotdog roast on Sat evenings. Some evenings they have life music. Really a treat. Would love to return to this park. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

As stated, this park is not huge, but so nice! Nestled in the trees, and the sites are big rig friendly. We called months in advance, and got a very large back-in site that fit our toy hauler, which, when the gate is opened up, is 50' long. It fit nicely, even with the truck up front. The staff is very helpful. They trips they give you to take on your own are wonderful - just wish they had told us one was snowed in before we tried to go up the mountain. There was no TV or satellite connection for us, but they have DirecTV boxes they will rent you for about $4 a day that you connect right to your TV, and there you go. They also have a huge library of movies you can borrow, which we used. Cell and WiFi were sketchy, but we have found that most everywhere in N California and Oregon. We are making do. Verizon will be hearing from us, though :) If you want to have a fire, just ask for a fire pit, and it will be delivered to your site. Wood isn't any more expensive than other parks, but is good wood. We were pleased with our choice of campgrounds here. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park caters to those looking for the camping experience. No cell service, no wifi and the bare minimum of amenities. The park is 20 minutes away from the south entrance of the park and is beautiful being in the heavily wooded area. it rained the whole time we were there and since the site is narrow asphalt surrounded by dirt/pine needles it was pretty messy, but not the parks fault. The roads in the park are very narrow which do make it difficult for larger rigs to maneuver into the narrow sites. There is no cell service unless you sit on the porch by the office. There is no satellite reception due to the trees, although we were told at check in that they had Direct TV we could hook up to. When we could not get it to work, the staff said well it didn't always work out well. There is no internet service. You can get the park internet to work if you sit on the porch by the office. Since it was to rain the entire length of our stay, we decided to leave early and the park did refund the last few days of our stay. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

The park is set inside a beautiful forest, with very tall, mature trees and landscaping. It's a gorgeous setting that is peaceful and serene. Nearby there are many hiking opportunities to gorges and waterfalls that will take your breath away... and Crater Lake is just a short drive away. We only planned to stay two nights; we stretched it to seven.

The WiFi is awful and data coverage is even worse. We didn't come here to surf the internet so it was ok, but still... some connectivity would have been nice just to look up nearby attractions.

The people are super friendly and helpful, the grounds are immaculately maintained and the sites are long and spacious. Hookups were very good... water is a little hard but tastes great, and the 50 amp power was rock solid.

We'll definitely be back. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Crater Lake is a must-see. The park provides you with maps of local attractions that are also well worth the hike... waterfalls, gorges, bridges, etc. "The Rabbit Ears" is a gargantuan pair of granite monoliths that tower over a breathtaking landscape. The drive up Forest Service Road 6515 can get a little narrow and dicey but very doable when it's not raining or snowing.

Helpful staff.
Shaded asphalt sites in various sizes. Try to stay away from the noisy road side sites. Large shaded sitting areas.
Restrooms/showers needed a good cleaning.
Compliments that there is Wi-Fi in the whole park with all that trees! And the Wi-Fi is good when there are not too many guests, otherwise very slow.
No laundry.
No AT&T phone coverage at the sites, only in front of the office. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an RV park review not a review of the beautiful area around it. the park is tight, with so many trees that satellite is doubtful. The restrooms are trailers that have been brought in, one toilet and two showers in each, very old, so old they appear dirty and linoleum coming up, etc. They need to be replaced. There is no WiFi and cell service does not work here. The hosts are wonderful. Traffic noise dies down at night. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice staff and mostly shady sites. Some sites are not quite level, having a downslope. They charge you extra for having a dog. They tell you they will charge you if you break any rules. Not a bad idea with as many jerks that don't understand what quiet time is, your "special" dog has to be on a leash, etc. Zero Verizon cell service here and while it say wi fi, it simply does not work, period! Most sites. have the sewer, water and electric midway on the site, so to hook up you either have to be in a site 30 feet longer than you really need, or you hang out into the road, or you must unhook your rig and park behind. Three big trash cans, two were empty and chained closed, one that was not chained was overflowing. Not sure what the logic is there. We had reserved a pull-thru spot. We were given a small, tight, back-in spot because there were no pull-thrus available. It would have been nice to know that in advance. There were surcharges per night for our dogs and for 50 amp service. We had no cell service and erratic wifi. However, there was a lovely river and hiking trails next to it and it was very quiet.
