Quick and easy check-in, staff friendly and helpful. Large open park. Some sites had some grass but most did not. All concrete and pavement. Mostly level. Sites are staggered so the unit next to you doesn't seem to close. Over air TV was decent, free WiFi BUT UNSECURED, did not use. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Basically, a huge parking lot. Sites were concrete but not level. Rest rooms and shower were clean but a long distance from the back-in site where we were located. There was no internet and no cable TV but OTA channels with antenna were adequate. Had no problem with staff or check-in but resented their exorbitant cancellation fee of $34 if you change your mind. It's okay for an overnight stay but wouldn't make it my first choice in the area (others were full). Given a choice, I'd stay somewhere else. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We come to this park on a regular basis because of the price compared to others in the Bend/Redmond area. The laundry is good, the showers and restroom are very clean, with a major exception of constant flooding from the showers. The manager of the park knows the most, is very, very friendly and most helpful. There is a WiFi site thru BendBroadband that works very well. We intend to return. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

All the main shopping is available in Redmond. Bend is a lovely town, and of course the area is magnificent for outdoor activities. There are other much nicer parks in the area, but you will pay the price...and you may enjoy them more!

This park has nothing to offer except location and a friendly staff. The cement pads are not level. The spaces are crammed together with very little space between RV's. The gravel at our site was mostly dirt. There was a road right behind our unit with daytime traffic and only a cyclone fence separating us. No trees and no afternoon shade for most all sites. It is very poorly laid out in order to get as many sites in as possible. We were not given a map to help us find our site and no one escorted us. We just had to remember the various turns. There is no internet. I was told that it was down but even when it isn't, it doesn't work. In four days there, no internet at all. Power and water work fine. All interior roads are paved. I will not return. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Visually appealing but sites are close together. We had a concrete pad and enough room for both fifthwheel and truck. No wi-fi or cable tv. They told us that it went out the week before and they expected someone to come out "soon". They allow charcoal cooking on their open pits only, not yours. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Weird rules on bar b que. You had to use their open pits and not allowed to use your closed pit. Also, you can have a roaring bar b que fire but not allowed to enjoy a cigar. This could be a great place if the county nanny state would let it be. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very 'sterile' park, nothing here. No WiFi, no cable (say it's under repair, but clearly long term ). No camp store. All sites park you North to South so no chance of any shade at any time. Folks hide behind their rig, or behind their car for some shade. Sites are concrete surrounded by gravel and dirt. Mostly level. Don't ask for a pull thru or back-in, you'll go where they tell you as they decide. Train usually lets you know it's there at 2am and 6am. Will not return. After making the wrong turn (GPS' fault) we meandered into the park. Spaces are close, and no shade. However, best value found in the area. Many sites. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 3 nights for RV appointments in the area over the 4th of July holiday. The park is a short drive from US 95 (Airport Way Exit) along city streets. It is located in town close to services. The interior roads are paved. They are narrow with parked vehicle encroachment & tight turns making maneuvering larger RV's a little challenging. There is a mixture of back-ins, P/T's and tent sites. A few of P/T sites were long enough to say connected to a toad. The RV sites are narrow & there isn't much distance between the sites but there was sufficient room to open slides. The parking pads are concrete. The site layout puts extra vehicle parking space on the driver's side. This configuration puts your towed vehicle directly in the way of the neighbor's table & outside area. This park seems to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were generally level and flat. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. The sewer connection was above ground making it difficult to establish a downhill flow depending on discharge point. Sites have an outside table & BBQ grill but no fire pits as open fires are prohibited. Site orientation doesn't allow RV's to cast shade onto the patio side. The landscaping is new so there is nothing to interfere with satellite reception yet. No cable. The park brochure made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any OTA channels. No park provided WiFi. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception. No designated fenced pet area. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste around the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads, the adjacent event grounds parking lot & city street. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

We keep coming back for the price compared to other options in central Oregon. Agree with all the previous reviewers. The woman in the office is so nice and helpful and informative. There is occasional noise from planes and you can hear the train in the distance. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Central Oregon has a lot of offer: Sisters, Newberry crater, Old Mill bike, walking trails and shops, Lake Billy Chinook, downtown Bend, big box stores in Redmond, medical care in Redmond, Cascades Lake Hwy to all the mountain lakes, etc. etc.

I am an RV park owner so I search for the best I can get in the area we want to be. The paved roads, no speed bumps and concrete sites made it so easy to unhook and be level ! Also plenty of room to park your vehicle. The restrooms and laundry are excellent.Very good customer service. We were here to visit friends and sightsee. Park central to every where. We would stay here again in warmer months. It was too cold for hiking this April. We were also in Arizona for the warm weather so this park good stopping place on our way back to Washington State. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice newer park, although a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Most of the pull through sites had no grass, so we selected a nice end location back in site (C12) which had a narrow grass strip at the rear. Very dog-friendly park with a huge area of nice grass toward the expo center (gate access) which was great for tossing the discs for the dogs. If you can snag them, pull through sites A9 and A10 are the easily the best sites in the park. We'll stay here again if in the area. 14 miles to Bend. Clear sky for satellite and excellent Verizon coverage. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good access to events at the fairgrounds. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Campsites are mostly paved with very little grass. As another has said, BLM land is adjacent to the park and is good for pets to run. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very "sterile" campground. No trees, grass, or shade. No privacy. It is basically a large parking lot laid out geometrically for RV parking. Site are level, concrete, with a gravel "patio", table, and charcoal grill. ATT good, WIFI good. NO pool, no club house, no activities. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is a clean and well laid out. Too sterile for a long stay, but good for short term. Would stay again. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.
