Noise from nearby highway is intrusive. Bathrooms are badly in need of remodeling and repainting. 30 amp service only. Voltage varied from 103 to 109 volts, causing my low voltage protector to shut off frequently. Management explained that the power system "was from the 1960's" and needed to be upgraded. I would not plug any rig in here without a low voltage protector. WiFi was a good signal and fast. TV cable reception produced a somewhat fuzzy; snowy picture on most channels. Trees prevented my rooftop satellite dish from receiving a signal, but that's not the park's problem. Sites have a foliage divider between them. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

New name is Oregon coast RV resort. Terrible muddy conditions, and nasty standing water everywhere, mosquitoes are infested. Pot holes throughout. Customer service is bad, fake smiles and not courteous once you pay.. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

I chose this park due to the previous reviews mentioning that there were new owners who are making an effort to clean up the park and remedy past woes. I don't think they're ready for prime time yet. If I had it to do over I'd go elsewhere. The campground is no longer called Surfwood. It is now the Oregon Coast RV Resort. While the new owners are friendly offered good service, the sites were narrow with water filled ditches bordering each site. The site was grass and muddy since we had had rain prior to our arrival. Several dogs were running loose from their owners sites. I had some concern while hooking up to leave of one dog from a nearby site with no owner in sight. I'm sure the owners are special people, but they need to have concern for others and keep their dogs under control. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Would like to help clean the slate for the new owners of this park. They are putting money into the park. Got rid of the full time ugly junk that was there. Fixing power problems cleaning up bathrooms. Been staying there for years yes the other reviews were all true but not the case now. They have cut the brush back cleaning the place up. Thank god somebody bought it with money to make it a great park again. Super nice folks. If you had a bad experience there forget it give it another try. Been run in the ground for years so give them a chance to get it back.. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Truck Camper.

New owners and lots of clean-up and repairs going on. Owners very nice. Even though Passport America book said 3 nights, Internet said they had changed to one night and not on the days we would be here, Owner gave us 1 night at Passport rate. Only downside is it is a little far from everything. We found it to be clean and all the grass mowed. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a terrible RV park. The sign in front of the campground claims Heated pool, Tennis Courts, Luxury Big Rig Pull Thru. None of this is true. The free WiFi was only accessible from the office. I had to cut brush so that I could get in and out of my rig. Needless to say I will not stay here again. We loss power twice during the two days we where there. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

We intended on staying for a month but they put us in the park area where the long term stayed the noise from the people and the hi-way was too much. The fish cleaning station stunk so bad we could smell it down the park and couldn't open windows . The staff needs to be trained in customer service, I felt I was being put in the middle of the park drama and being told about things I didn't care to know about. Very unorganized. This is a run down campground. Rates with PA were good but not worth it. Restroom and showers were not clean. Lots of full time residents. Lots were long enough but needs tree trimming and drainage. Front Desk was friendly but wouldn't come back. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here a month and got a great rate. The staff was terrific. The power at the sites in the rear went off and on several times. They promptly took care of it to get it back on. The sites are over grown with trees and shrubs, they need some TLC to say the least. The sites are a little difficult getting into as they are narrow. We will come back next year and hopefully they will have done some maintenance on the park. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

We planned on staying at this RV park, so when we pulled in we walked around to pick a site. Most RV's were long term and everything was run down. There was standing water in most sites. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is for Passport America. Amazing value for the price! If you stay close enough to the office, you do get Wi-Fi. However, we requested to stay in the back because we didn't want to hear any traffic. The manager was very nice and accommodating. It was nice and quiet. Very pet and kid friendly. They have a bounce pillow across from the office. (Pretty cool; I had never seen one before). There is also good cable TV. Nice wooded, older campground with lots of sites. Wi-Fi isn't available at every site, with no discount rate given. We asked up front. The sites are tight, graveled and fairly level. Those with larger RV's might find them too small. We acquired one of the larger sites in the back as per a previous post's recommendation. The site had not been cleaned, was covered in rotting leaves, and one of us promptly stepped in dog droppings. We went ahead and set up the rig completely. Then, we found the TV cable didn't work. We called the office and they said, "Oh yeah, it doesn't work out there." That's it, no offers of discounts in the fees or moving us to another site. We mentioned that they should have informed us at registration and we wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of setting up, etc. We packed up, got our money back and moved on down the road. We will never stay her again. The workers could use a little public relations work. They should tell customers what is and isn't available at registration. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

I met the new Manager upon check in and she was quite friendly. She informed me she worked for a new owner and told me things were under construction and that they had loads of changes in store. They were putting in a jumping pillow out front and a new net on their tennis court while we were there. I can't wait to go back in July. I found the park pretty nice. The front spaces are sort of close to the road, but the back of the park has huge spots, brand new picnic tables and some sites even have cedar furniture in them. I think this park will soon be the best in the west. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

This was our second visit to the Surfwood RV Campground over a 10-year period. The campground is fairly well maintained and caters to both the traveler and what appears to be full time RV residents. Campsites are routinely separated by occasionally untamed shrubbery, sometimes blackberry bushes. This gives the campground not only a rustic appearance but also creates a good degree of privacy between campsites. The current owners have gone to significant lengths to upgrade the campground with Wi-Fi and an excellent convenience store. The swimming pool, however, is not well situated for easy use and is only available on a seasonal basis. RVers have numerous opportunities to camp along the Oregon Coast Highway and spend a comfortable night as well as an extended stay in the Reedsport-Winchester Bay area. Surfwood Campground is a good choice for a modestly priced campground and offers adequate amenities. Not to be missed is the town of Winchester Bay with its excellent assortment of local businesses (loved the knife shop!) and restaurants. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.
