October 6- This County campground from what I have heard and seen has had a lot of improvements made to it over the years. But the row we were given needs work. Gravel site was not level. Electrical box was hanging loose. (I did report it on the way out.) Backed up butt to butt against the other row behind us with the other RV's rear living room window looking into our rear bedroom window. As for the positives... it has the hugest playground slide I have ever seen. Close to the ocean beach. Clean. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

SUPER BEACH- Very Busy campground- VERY VERY busy on weekends-ZOO Time. With twice as many tent sites as Full Hook Ups Very crowded. If you are a tenter, great sites available with views of beach. Weekdays are much less crowded. Make reservations early. Usually weekday sites available for 1 or 2 days. Utilities worked great. Verizon OK, Local Wi-fi $$ available. Some pull thru sites OK for Direct TV. Local TV channels available. Dog friendly. About 8 miles from Tillamook and 2 miles from town of Rockaway Beach. Office and park staff extremely helpful. Will return (Weekdays) We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very, very busy Campground with great staff. We had two different sites because we needed to extend over Labor Day and our first reserved site was already booked. Book EARLY, lots of returning campers. They have way more tent sites than RV sites. 1/2 are pull-thru and more spacious. Back-ins are much closer together. Good Direct TV from both our sites. Wi-fi is $4/day and they suggested we only pay for 1 day first to make sure we could access it. No problem from our two sites. Beach sites are dry camping but really close to the water. Big long Jetty with melodic foghorn that I loved listening to. Careful to watch awnings with quickly big ocean breezes. Got CRAZY busy over Labor Day weekend but everyone was quiet after 10 pm. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

We did not stay in the RV section and instead dry camped it at first in Spot W2 and that was wonderful. Secluded and had more space between campsites than many campgrounds we have been to. The second spot was right on the jetty in Y4. This was more like a parking spot where we could stay. But the view of the bay and the waterway into the bay was awesome. It was very windy out here and the trailer got VERY dirty. And I would stay in either spot again. The bathrooms were clean, but I would give them 3.5 stars and they were not as clean as others. They were also about $1 per use. Also, the campground felt empty, even when there were many people there. I would stay here again and will stay here again. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oregon Coast Scenic Railway was neat. Downie's cafe in Bay city about 10 mins away was awesome for breakfast (even had oysters and eggs for breakfast). Tillamook is about 15 mins away, but felt close for us.

We have stayed here three times. Once in the RV sites, and twice in the tent sites with our RV. The RV sites are really close together. There is really no privacy. If you choose the right tent site you can dry camp very peacefully. We thuroughly enjoyed our time there, and will be going back often! Also, every employee there is seen working hard to keep the place clean. Definite bonus!! We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park was completely packed full therefore there were not enough showers. When you were able to get to a shower it was dirty with sand and human hair. Sometimes enough hair it looked like Sasquatch had shaved there. RV spots are tight and a 90 degree turn off the road for the back in spots. Park is huge and if you don't need power some of the spots in the back would be awesome. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Rockaway is only about 5 miles up the road and has the original pronto pup for a great snack. Tillamook is about 10 miles or so to get ice cream at the cheese factory then stop at the Tillamook Smoker for pepperoni and beef jerky.

We stayed in the Y site. Y4 to be exact. I travel in a 38' diesel pusher with no slides. The ocean was very active, and the sea spray even touched our RV! It was a wonderful experience to watch an incoming storm so close to the ocean. I have never encountered a site so well situated. The site has no hook ups, dry camping, but the view and stark lack of people was well worth not having AC power or water hook up. The fishermen came early in the morning to cast their lines off the jetty. Though they came early, they were all very respectful and quiet. There are ample trails, some of which are handicapped friendly. The staff was friendly, and very helpful in pointing out the good tourist destinations in the area. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

Park is located on Tillamook Bay and Pacific Ocean with easy access from 101 at Barview. There is a registration fee whether you make reservations on line, phone or in person so first night fee for pull thru was $49 and subsequent nights were $39, which we thought was high but we wanted beach access and quiet. Sites either pull thrus or backin are graveled, big rig easy, fireplaces, good full hookups in good location, with mostly paved interior roads. Will stay again for location. Many sand tent sites that are close to ocean and tree cover. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

This place is huge, clean and cared for but the best sites for shade, privacy and close to the beach are not for RVs that want hookups and we could not find a dump area. For the size of this place there are only a few bathrooms spaced far apart and the showers you have to pay for. Nice big play area for kids, looks brand new, safe and plenty of room for playing. Paved roads to make riding bikes easy but then further down turns into large gravel roads. Most if not all tent sites are sand and sand is not easy to walk on, but soft to put your bed on. Most of the RV sites have no shade and the way the sites are design your canopy doesn't work. All RV sites are back to back some have a little fence between you and your back neighbor and others don't, those look like a pull-thru site but are not. There is a fog horn in the distance that goes all night and all day but after hearing it for several hours you get use to it. It was nice and I would return but with a site that had some shade and not under a pole light that lit our bathroom's sunroof. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

Please see all other comments, large park, easy to access. Tent sites north of the RV sites are very cozy and private. if I could be in my fifth wheel without electricity I would park back there, getting close to the beach if I could. The problem with this RV park is the high expense and extra unexpected charges for dogs, shower, registration fees, etc. Did not like that, plus the site is not worth the price without cable and wifi. The access to the beach is wonderful, to watch the jetty fishermen, boats, etc. So it will be up to other campers if they want to be in this location for the price. btw, noisy campers on the weekends. Didn't seem to be anyone monitoring things at night. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The RV full hookup sites are very narrow, but long. The sewer hookup is at the very rear, so you need much hose. Nice park for beach, and dunes.

This is a very large campground, especially for tenters. The RV area is big, but doesn't give much privacy. In spite of that, it was quite pleasant. People and their pets were generally well-behaved. This is a great place to visit the beach. There is a steam train that runs from Garibaldi to Rockaway which would have been fun to try out, but we don't tow a car, and walking to Garibaldi on Hwy 101 didn't look like fun. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

The $49 rate for a full hookup pull through site includes a $10 Transaction Fee required for each check-in and sales tax. The second and additional nights would be $39. Wi-fi is available for an extra charge. Verizon worked well here. Only about 55 RV sites, the rest are all tent sites, but they offer more privacy and if you can dry camp they would be the preferred sites. There is a dump station on site. Good beach access including a boat launch ramp. The RV sites are all gravel with some grass trying to grow between the pads. We would stay here again when the area. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Motorhome.

This park is just north of Garibaldi on the Oregon coast. It is a large park, with RV and tent sites spread over a large area. Tent sites and small RV sites have a lot more privacy than the larger RV sites. Some are quite close to the beach. We camped in a pull-through site, which, since it was not angled from the driveway, and because of tree branches rather low overhead, was not that easy to get into. The driveway was quite long, and there was a decent amount of space between rigs, but no privacy at all. Since we were there only overnight, this wasn't a big deal. There were lots of places to walk, and the sites were clean. What bothered me the most, however, was that the $34.00 rate didn't include more than $20 of "extra" fees, like the $10 transaction fee, and the "other" fee of $5.00, the tax (Oregon doesn't have sales tax), and then they wanted $4.00/day for wifi, which we did without. $54.00 for a parking lot-style pull through on a gravel pad seems a bit much to me. I'd avoid this place because it just isn't worth the price. I've stayed in fancy resorts for less. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Fifth Wheel.
