In fairness - The corporate office for this park stated they are refunding our 40.00, but we have not yet seen it reflected on the credit card.

Driveway appears to have washed out and they are working on fixing it. There is only one lane and it is a steep, short, downhill grade and we drug the tow bar both entering and exiting their temporary fix.

Parked (VERY tight sites) in space 9, setup, and went to find a place to have lunch. Upon our return there was a truck parked cross ways behind our rig, in the place we were to park the tow. We asked if it could be moved so we could park in the designated parking spot for us behind our RV.

A very angry, confrontational man approached our car and rudely informed us we were taking his parking places for some fish thing they are doing and we needed to move the RV. So we did, to a entirely different RV Park.

This rude, confrontational, glaring, giving us nasty looks man was working on this fish activity about four feet from the door of our RV. We did not feel safe so leaving was our best option. Peacefulness and personal safety. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

The nightly rate is an average over 16 nights using Passport America. The rates/discount varied dependent on the day of the week. Overall, the park is a little run down and in need of some TLC. We stayed in the upper level. Sites are a little close for my preference. There was some overgrowth that affected my RV. Water/Elec worked fine. I always use a pressure regulator so I don't pay much attention. Sewer was a little iffy but it was functional with a little extra effort. I ended up running about 30' of hose to reach the drain. After each dump, I 'walked the line' to empty the hose. There were picnic tables but some of them bordered on well framed firewood storage methods. There was a dump station with a missing/broken cap near some sites close to the dumpster. Thankfully, the temp helped to keep the play on that to a minimum. Timing for emptying the dumpster is not mastered. It can reach maximum capacity for some days before emptying. There isn't dedicated grassy space for pets. There is grass but when the park is busy, it tends to get filled with vehicles, boats and trailers, and even tents. The pool and hot tub are OK. The showers and restrooms are pretty good. The facility manager is not a pleasant person. He tries to solve problems with bullying even if he is wrong and you show him. I personally won't look to stay at this particular facility again. If you are there to be close to a boat launch with your RV or trailer for a fishing weekend, you might consider your options. This place shows in Rockaway Beach but it is actually in Wheeler. There's nothing wrong with Wheeler, but that might affect you if you expect beach access. This is marina access on the backwater with beach access requiring a trip by car. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Most of our preferences in eating establishments were in Nehalem. We're only talking a ten minute ride though. Try Wanda's, Ice Creams & Chowders, or Pizza Garden. They are all pretty good.

Park has good water pressure. That is the only positive I have to say. This place is FAR from a resort. Made reservations for a 50 amp FHU site that would fit my 41'. Spent the first 20 minutes at the park being told they didn't have anymore 50 Amp sites. Then it turns out they did have 3, but none were long/wide enough for my coach. Since I was within the cancellation period, I could take the leftovers or lose ALL ($120) of my reservation. So, I took a 30 Amp FHU site that was wide enough, but 10 feet of my coach and my entire truck stuck out into the parking lot. The vast majority of sites are very close. So close you can't extend the awning all the way. The park has 3 tiers. Each is really a gravel parking lot. Don't let the nice pics on the web page fool you. This place is old, cramped, and in need of maintenance. The door to my site's electric pedestal came off in my hands and tables need paint. A number of power poles are bent back from coaches hitting them. 1 lane crossing to/from the lower tiers. The gate shack is Right off Rt 101. If you're coming from the north, pull off on the shoulder and hope no one hits you. If you're coming from the south, hope there is room to pull into the parking lot and room to turn around. The guy at the gate shack was rather inept. The manager complained about "corporate" taking reservations but not passing the info to the park. The park does not reserve sites, just services. That is why there was not a 50 Amp site large enough for my rig. They were taken by smaller rigs that could have fit on a smaller site. But, it is first come, first dibs. You might be able to get WiFi at your site. If not, go to one of the club houses. They will not accept deliveries for RVers. I really don't understand why this place is packed. I won't be back or recommend this place. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

There are 2 sections, east of 101 has the pools and 59A, West of 101 has 30A WE and 30AWES in the lower section. I think the upper section has 50A WES.
Road in was suitable but under repair. Sites, west of 101, are very tight. You get to know your neighbor which isn't a bad thing. Our curb side neighbor gave us 2 fresh caught crabs. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

This facility is in two different locations, upper & lower and the highway splits it down the middle so if you have kids, you will be running across the road. The pool is in the upper club house and the cable TV etc is in the lower club house. The lower lot is a gravel parking lot with tight spaces by the river. There is a boat launch.

I went in the bathrooms - gross - & one of the pools was closed and we kept driving. If you are spending the night as a stop over it would be fine but for long term, I would keep moving.

The young lady at the check in was VERY nice. She was the bright spot in this park. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

It's hard to complain about RPI rate of $10... but... the RPI section is really in need of attention. Beware the water pressure is REALLY high. The laundry is inexpensive, but the machines are old and cranky. The access road is being fixed, but right now it's a downright hazard. However, the view is outstanding and we picked one of the wider nicer sites in the corner. But if there were lots of rigs, it would be really tight! Our site was fairly level. And if you want to crab or fish, this is the place to be. We didn't use the restrooms or rec room. We did visit the campground and pool on the "other" side, which I think is for members only or full-paying public and it seemed much nicer. But $10 is a cheap price for the view and 30 amps I suppose... We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

This is totally a fishing camp. There is a designated area for RPI members. The sites are very small. The upkeep needs improvement especially the road into the campsites. The laundry has no hot water and smelled very mouldy and musky. The pool was lovely and big but there were no chairs to sit on. The changing/washroom- woman's- had caution signs everywhere to indicate slippery when wet. I would suggest perhaps changing the tile floors to something more appropriate. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

This a nice park, especially for fishermen. It has three tiers. The lower two, which offer the best view, are TOO tight. The upper one (east side of 101)is much roomier and nicer, but doesn't afford a view. Satellite is accessible from most sites. One day before leaving we were told the best Wi-Fi signal. Were not told this on entering and had to use clubhouse where signal is poor. AT&T was good. Fair laundry. Machines have seen their best days. Rate reflects Coast-to-Coast member rate. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Cost reflects Coast-to-Coast rate. Park has many sites overlooking the bay, and a laid-back choose-your-own-spot policy. We stayed in the lower section below highway 101 in order to watch the bay; the upper section is surrounded by trees - no view of the bay. One unusual amenity was a large kettle kept boiling for guests to cook their own crabs! The steam train runs through occasionally and the tracks wind through a wooded area lined with blackberries which were yummy at breakfast. Good Wi-Fi in rec hall. We stayed in Paradise Cove as guests of some F/T RVer friends with a "Coast to Coast" membership. The CG hosts were extremely accommodating. Our friends were able to have us moved to the lower tier to camp closer to them when they told management that my husband was disabled and unable to walk too far. WiFi signal was strong in their community club house building. The community building was large, clean, and well set up. Showers were designed to be private and had GREAT water pressure. Beautiful views, and they were set up to cook your crabs as you came in (if boating/crabbing). Nice nice place!! We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

This park has 2 phases to it. the bottom part which is on the marina, and across 101 up the hill is the other camp location. The one on the hill is by far the nicest! By the marina, the spaces are very tight and close together' but up the hill on the other side of 101, spaces are huge, and lots of trees and woods to walk your dog. Price reflects ROD Plus price, as it did cost me nothing to stay there for 2 weeks. Beautiful pool, 2 rec sites, and nice guys who check you in. Really nice park, and so many things close to you to take daily side trips in your car. I would and will go back next summer. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Rate is for RPI. We were only allowed to park in the terraced hill overlooking the "marina" camping area. Spaces were very close together, but we loved the view up on our little hill. Everyone had pulled in forward for the view and plugged in on their neighbor's site. Worked well for the crowd when we were here. The upper terrace is for members only, had large well spaced sites with nice landscaping, but no view. We heard the hot tub and pool were very nice, but did not use them ourselves. We would definitely return to this campground. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

We stayed here using our ROD membership. This park is split into levels with the top level being across Hwy 101. The top level has the largest sites with fire ring and table. There is a railroad track separating the middle and ocean level. Only the steam train runs, usually on weekends. There is a club house on the lower level and an adult club house on the top level. The swimming pools/hot tub is also on the top level. WI-FI is available in/near both club houses. Also available is the docks and Activity Center. Dandelions were tall but otherwise a nice site. There is road noise but it didn't keep us awake. We would stay here again. We camped at Paradise Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.
