I scale campgrounds on set values: ambiance, cleanliness and facilities with a max score of 3/3 on each. One further point if there is something special to us. We rate this location facilities 1/3, cleanliness 2/3,ambiance 3/3 and a bonus point for just being so secluded and intimate. = 7/10 This is a neat little campground tucked away on the west side of Highway 22 about half way between Sandy and Sisters right on the Klackamus River. The entrance is just before,or after, the bridge depending on which direction you are coming from. Its treed of course but sun does penetrate nicely. We camped right beside the river which is suitable for a refreshing dip, potable water or just dabbling your toes. Fires are allowed. It may not be everyone's cup of tea - pit toilets and all that- but for us, it was perfect which cant be reflected in the score we give it. We camped at Mount Hood National Forest in a Travel Trailer.Undo
