1 Park near Sublimity, Oregon
Apr 2016 - $24.00
This is one of the jewels of the Oregon State Park system, which is one of the finest state park systems in the U.S. Silver Creek SP has 10 waterfalls with great hiking trails. This was proposed as a National Park in the 1920's but was rejected because it had been logged and there were stumps everywhere. Almost 100 years has taken care of that and today you would never know it had been logged.
We stayed in a fairly open site (we like sun, especially in Oregon) near the facilities. Sites pretty much average for Oregon SPs which means pretty spacious. Facilities were perfectly maintained. - Birdmaestro

Beautiful campground, well laid out, with electric and water, no sewer. Dump station is 2 miles down the road by group camping, which doesn't make sense because no one was down there but the campground was full so the dump station should be in the campground. There are 10 waterfalls, all of which can be seen on a 8.7 mile hike called the Trail of Ten Falls. Three of the largest falls are a short hike from parking areas, you can even walk behind them. There is a nice day-use area and historical buildings in the park. There is no road noise and no trains nearby. Antenna service is minimal, we have an HD antenna and only picked up Fox. AT&T signal had 5 bars. I have no idea where this strong of a signal was coming from but it was reliable and consistent for hotspot and streaming use. Nearest towns are Silverton at 15 miles, Sublimity at about 15 miles, and Salem at 25 miles, which is a very nice, clean, charming Capitol city. - LifeRidingShotgun

We stayed two nights which was not enough to enjoy all this park had to offer. Our site was very private, level and easy to access. The entire park is beautiful. The drive in through Christmas tree country was nice and not a bad pull. We were in site 36B. - Bev Dean
