Nice little park. Clean and pleasing to the eyes. It is in a great location just 4 or 5 miles west of Tillamook, and a couple miles south of Oceanside. The park is only a block from the Pacific and no matter which way you turn on the coastal road you get gorgeous views. The park is tight. If it were full (which it isn't this time of year) it would have felt very tight as the roads are not wide. Backing into sites could be very difficult because the sites aren't very deep and the roads are not wide. The utilities are well located and Verizon cell signal was okay (LTE with 2 bars). Our site (85) had no problem getting Dish satellite lock. We would come back during any off season but not during a busy period. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice park away from noise. Right on Netarts Bay. Upper part of park a little confining and tough for long rigs to get into the pulls throughs. Lower part where we were are all back ins, but great area. Spaces 68-69 & 70 are really nice and 70 is the best. Larger grassy area and right on a creek. Tv reception is really, really bad and park has no cable. Cell phones worked good as did Wi-Fi. Rest rooms looked clean and laundromat has two washers and two dryers. Crab boat rentals on site. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We had one of the four spots looking out at the bay. Very nice, however, they had installed two raised "U" shaped bars near the front of the space. We had to be very careful to avoid running over them. I believe they were placed there to strap down a rig during very high winds. Right next to our spot was the office which was in the process of being completely remodeled inside and out. Lots of construction noise and dust. We complained one day because there was constant grinding for about 4 hours in the morning. The park refunded our fee for that day which was nice. There was very nice grass surrounding our space. Laundry prices were quite reasonable. The WiFi was fine, probably because we were at the front of the park. The office folks were very very nice and helpful. They helped us with our first experience with clamming. They sell licenses right there. Their boat rentals are pricey...$95 for 3 hours. Bottom line is ...We would stay here again. WARNING - if you drive a big rig and are coming from the south...do NOT take any shortcut (sandlake, cape lookout, whiskey creek, netarts bay roads);. there are low hanging branches and you will have an issue. Our front A/C shroud was knocked off the roof. Take 101 into Tillamook then 131 to the park. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need some rig maintenance - Tillamook RV repair is nearby. for groceries, there is a Fred Meyer and a Safeway in nearby Tillamook. There are many things to do/see in the area.

This is a very nice RV park, but does have some issues. The grounds are kept looking very nice. Water pressure was fair, all other utilities good. Didn't use WIFI but were told at the office it is very slow. Had a nice laundry and only $1 for washers and dryers. They are upgrading the office. Main complaints are the sites are VERY narrow and the utility pole was very close to the drive. We had to park in front of the pole to get out slides out. Had to put a cone out in front of the rig as we were barely in the road. We were not the only ones. Also had to move the picnic table off the patio to get our slides out on that side. We were in the upper area and I am thinking there are some sites down below that the utility pole is further back. Just make sure they know if you have slides. The other complaint was probably not the parks fault, but the trash truck came through at 5:45am! We were parked right across from the trash dumpsters and there were several dumpsters to dump so we were wide awake before they were through. AT&T coverage not good, Verizon was weak. Where we were at, we could get satellite, but would be tough at other sites. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the top 4 parks out of the 314 we have stayed at since we retired in 2009 - lots of wild life and great views of the bay from the front sites on the seals on the sand bar - new owners completely redoing the admin building spending a fortune on a new retaining wall up front We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hands down the best park I have ever been in. The location/scenery is incredible. Close to tourist attractions but still quiet & secluded. Everyone we encountered was friendly & helpful. I understand that they used to have boats available for rental and they no longer do that but it would have been nice. The spaces are fairly close together but you still have a nice spot for your dogs and there is more pet walking space down the road. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Rent a boat from the resort ahead of time. You should also try shore crabbing. Pack a lunch and sit on the shore and catch dinner. Everyone at the park was so friendly and most of them are return guest. This is our first year to RV so feel so very lucky to have found the gem so early. We will be back!!

WIFI was poor, slow. No TV; need to put in cable as there was NO satellite reception. Need to the fix bridges, the boat launch & install docks for guest use. Access to the beach is very poor unless you're a rock climber. Boat rental may have been ok (didn't use) but sounds spendy ($105 for 3 hrs included 3 baited crab pots) then pay $9/doz to cook them. Site was fine, clean and had shade trees, but they sites are small/tight for our 23' trailer & pickup, so no room for a boat if had it with us. Fire pits were nice, our bay view was nice. Water tasted heavily chlorinated... yuck! People are nice, friendly and helpful. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Cape Meares is a short drive, has a lighthouse, lots of view points that are outstanding, and an octopus tree! Be aware tho, it's a 1/4 mile jaunt downhill (maybe a 5 or 6% grade) on a paved path to the lighthouse. It's well maintained and has clean restrooms.

This is a very old park with small, uneven, heavily wooded sites. We asked for a site for a 40 foot motorhome with a full size pickup. Our mirrors hung out in the park's road and our tow vehicle hung out in the public street. We ended up parking on the grass, which they discourage. Also had pitch on everything from overhanging trees. The boat rental was very expensive. Upkeep since our last visit has declined. They have many long term renters who have the premium sites. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a small out of the way park. We used it as a base to explore from Astoria to Tillamook for several days and it was just the ticket. Staff were helpful, pleasant and available. One small problem, one of the two washers in the convenient and clean laundry was not working, some doing more than one load was a little inconvenient. Nevertheless we'd stay there again except for the extremely tight spaces. Never been in a park where we were so crowded next to our neighbors. Sites are not all in rows and when we parked our tow vehicle it was less than 3 feet from the living room window of the Airstream next to us. Our other neighbor's tow vehicle was within 2-3 feet of our living room. That meant the curtains were closed all the time. Some sites were better but ours was just too tight. Except for that we'd gladly stay there again. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is quiet except for the dogs across the street that wake you up in the morning and keep you alert all day long. Mostly fishermen and crabbers stay here but it is right on Netarts Bay. The restaurant up the road is OK but nothing special, but it is within walking distance for older folks. There is a laundry with a sign up sheet and a do not wash dog stuff also. The park is very adamant about their dog rules which is very nice. We would stay here again if in the area but get a site away from the constantly barking dogs across the street. We stayed here for two months and enjoyed our time here and will return. However, I have to agree the sites are too tight. In the back section where we stayed we had to go through other sites to get to the restroom or walk all the way around on the road, not convenient if you gotta go! The staff was exceptional with friendly assistance, kept the place very clean, responsive to concerns and always let us know when we had mail. If their sites were 4-5 feet bigger I'd give a 10. This park is in 3 separate sections. The pictures in their brochure are somewhat misleading as there is no beach. This park is mainly for fishermen and crabbers. It is a sister park to the one in Sisters, Oregon but there the similarities end. There is absolutely no TV unless you have a satellite dish. Many of the sites are owned in this campground. Some sites are extremely close together. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.
