We stayed here for five days over Labor Day weekend 2017. As most everyone said it is a very nice park very well kept and rules are enforced. Everyone says stay away from exit 18 and they are right but if by chance you end up on it, it is not the end of the world as I went over it with a 35 foot motorhome pulling a car. Yes, there is some train noise; we never noticed it and definitely not an issue. I suggest if you have time to walk downtown Troutdale which is only three blocks long it is well worth it. The best part of the trip for us was the way we were treated by the lady in the office. She put us in a back in site where I could get no TV (satellite, cable or antenna.) I went back and asked her for some help and she said she could not help me until the next day. Next thing I know she is wrapping at my door and telling me she found a pull thru site I could have and it worked out perfectly. Cost me some flowers, but it was well worth it. Very nice lady that cares about her customer. Definitely would return. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Be sure to use Exit 17 (see directions on their website). All pull thru's are 55' with a pad on front of lot for tow. Too expensive for what it is. We had to disconnect. Tight sites with a spit of grass (ours was dead grass). They are very specific where your dog can "go" and neither of the two options are good. Glad we just stayed one night. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Just got out of the wonderful shower at the bath house! I love this place! We made reservations about a month ago. I'm glad I did since there is real limited availability. Reservations on phone very good. I sorta wish now I would have reserved a river front site as suggested, but our site was perfect. Checked in with Very nicefellow who was friendly, helpful, thorough, patient and funny. Gave us a great recommendation for Bandits for food! Sites are close together...standard sewer by your neighbors picnic table. Our site nice and long! Can't say enough about the cleanliness and general upkeep of the bathrooms. Gal had just cleaned up a mess in the men's restroom so the floor had just been mopped, but she let my husband go in. He tracked dirt on the wet floor, then she went back immediately and mopped it up again!! The showers had great water power. Handicapped had good functioning hand held shower head!!! Cable tv a bit of a pain to connect, but ok. Tengonet worked great!!! (We've had issues with tengonet years ago). Close to darling town of Troutdale and access to the Sandy River. Can't say enough good things! We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park had some trees, and the roads were paved, in great condition, and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. Sites were on the narrow side, with lots of grass (important if you have dogs). Power connection was 50/30/20 and the power pole & sockets were in good condition. The cable TV signal was good and stable. You need a cable box to get the stations, but the campground gives you a loaner box for FREE. Water & sewer connections were fine, as was the water pressure, and the sewer connection point was at ground level (great!). The RV parking pad was concrete and was in good condition, with an additional pad up front and to the side for your toad (nice touch). The WiFi connection was probably the best I've found so far in any campground, with good bandwidth for multiple users. We don't use restrooms, showers or pools, so we can't render an opinion on those items, although a quick walk through the building found it to be very clean and modern. There was no dog park as such, but there was an open field area and a river you can walk along that you can let your dogs run if you like (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). The price was on the higher side ($47 after a 10% Good Sams discount), but was reasonable when you consider how nice the park is. We did not notice any road noise since they are not near major roads.. We would rate this park a 9 out of 10. We stayed in a motorhome and would definitely stay here again if in the area. Troutdale is a perfect location to tour Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. Property is immaculate, with lots of seasonal residents. Those residents have landscaped their lots with lots of beautiful flowering pots & veggies so it adds to the atmosphere at the property. There's a nice path down to the Sandy River that's bordered by wild blackberries. Wi-Fi codes are provided per device with no limits. Service can be slow but generally steady with few drops. Staff was pleasant and we enjoyed our two week stay here. As soon as a rig pulls out another pulls in, so they were totally full during our stay. Some reviews complained about "major train noise". The tracks cross the river a short distance from the resort but aside from hearing a train whistle occasionally, we barely heard any train noise. Depending on wind direction, we did have low-flying planes on their approach to PDX! We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park on a creek and a river. Many full time residents, but very well kept. Newer units, plants, convenient to Troutdale (two blocks) and many surrounding attractions. Don't follow your GPS. Call for directions or you will end up on a one lane bridge. Take exit 16 NOT 18. Also it is easy to miss. Go thru Troutdale, the road curves right, you go past a barn museum and the road curves left, and you come to a narrow bridge with a white railing. It is the first left after the bridge. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to the Local Cow in Gresham for a great organic, grass-fed hamburger and garlic fries. Traffic in Portland is HORRIBLE- avoid it. If you go to the falls go VERY early, it's very crowded. Also approach from the east, exit 35. Less traffic that direction on Columbia River Highway. If you need RV repair, call Wayne's mobile repair. He comes out quickly - like as soon as you call. No two-three week wait. Does quality work.

This is one of the best kept parks we've stayed in. Most of all, the internet worked great every time I got on it which is often. I'm constantly doing research and doing business. We understand that the system was upgraded recently. It worked every time and was fast. The location is excellent. It is within walking distance to Troutdale where you will find boutique shops, restaurants, a hair salon, and a day spa. Everything you need is close by, grocery stores, nail/hair salons, Campers World, Walmart and restaurants. Portland is close and easy to get to approximately 14 miles and the options to take a bus, train or a combination of both. All modes of public transportation are close by and inexpensive. The RV park is located on the scenic Sandy River with nearby parks. Access to the Mt. Hood Scenic Loop is within a mile of you either taking I84 or route 26 which allows you to take in the beautiful scenery of Oregon at it finest. Along the way there are waterfalls, hiking trails, recreation areas, and other points of interest that makes for a interesting day of exploring. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

During our stay we ate at Troutini Restaurant in Troutdale and enjoyed happy hour prices that included food and drinks. The food was very good. Another time we made an evening out of visiting Edgefield for happy hour food and drinks and ended up going down stairs and enjoyed wine tasting. This property has a vineyard and also live music on Thursday evening during the summer.

I don't know why this park gets so many high reviews. It's fine. There's a slice of grass between each site but due to rains, the entire park was severely flooded and the grass was a mudpit. There's a picnic table on each patch but you're literally right next to your neighbor's slide. It was in a cute part of Oregon and right near the bike/walking paths, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here. It's functional. That's about it. I know the rains were bad this year but the drainage was horrible. There are about 70% residents and the rest in and out folks. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

'Standard' modern RV park, with pull-through sites in the middle (mostly overnighters) and back-ins along the periphery (mostly perms or semi-perms--nice rigs, no clutter). Extremely clean and well managed (aside from the office hours being quite limited). FHU perfectly functional (for the pull-through sites, electric and water at the back, sewer in the middle); nice grassy strip between the sites (not overly wide, but acceptable in such a park). Train tracks are very close to the park, but for the most part, it looks as though they don't blow their horn very often, so we didn't mind the rumble when they (frequently) go by. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The streets are extremely narrow as are the sites making it very difficult for larger rigs to maneuver. The site was level and the park was clean. The main problem is the trains which run all night long. There are constant train whistles during the night as the tracks are very close by. We did not use the restrooms so cannot comment on that. The WiFi was OK. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Like the other reviews have noted this park is clean and well organized. I didn't use the wifi because the park was full and my Verizon signal was good enough to stream video/movies. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, giving us several good pointers about the area. It is a good hub for Portland, the Columbia River Gorge and the town of Troutdale is a very easy walk. We will be here for five nights. Highway noise is present but really not an issue but what is is the nearby trains. The engines are quiet but they constantly blow their horns at the crossings and when going over the bridge and they sound like they are right in the park with you. When trying to sleep it's a problem, like three trains overnight starting around 2AM and loudly sounding horns. I think we have the best site in the park, #181. Shady most of the day. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed for one night and only used the electrical which was good. I have to ditto the other raters regarding cleanliness of the park. An issue for overnighters is length of the site which, most cases, won't allow you to remain hooked up. The park was at capacity and I believe many are long term and/or permanent residents. People leaving for work in the morning makes it difficult to sleep as does the trains which are apparently near the park, and of course, run when everyone is trying to sleep. Everyone I met were very friendly. One positive was WIFI which was very good except during the evening when everyone in the park is online.

One thing that you should be aware of is getting to the park off of I-84. Your GPS will probably tell you to use exit 18 which is no doubt the shortest route but you have to cross an old bridge across the Sandy River taking you to the park entrance. The right turn onto the bridge is sharp and somewhat blind as to traffic approaching from the opposite direction on the bridge. Also the width of most RV's requires you to use the entire width of the bridge. Use either Exit 17 or Exit 16 which makes the route easy. You'll go thru the little town of Troutdale which is very nice. Be sure and keep an eye out for the entrance to the park because if you miss it you will end up going over the aforementioned old bridge. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.
