Agree totally with the previous review. This park is about 2 blocks from town so easy walk to bars and antique shops. Factory outlets a very short drive away so this is a "city park" and one expects it to be less spacious than other parks away from town. Sightseeing and historic highway 30 is just around the corner. Be sure to see Crown Point then on to Multnomah falls. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

All sites are 60' long, with adjacent parking spot big enough for a full size crew. Roads are wide and blacktop, all RV sites are concrete and level with FHU, and are approx 22' total width. Wifi is free and decent. AT&T 2-3 BARS/LTE giving 35 MB using Hotspot. Some previous reviews complain about full timers, which I usually don't like. But all the RVs in this RV park are modern, very nice or like new. Some other reviews complained about difficult approach from 84, that has been remedied with a new entrance and directions on their website from exit 16 from 84. This route is easy and no problems with our 43' A class plus tow. This RV park is walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and on Historic Route 30 for all the tourist spots without having to deal with busy Portland traffic congestion. Before booking and staying at the park, I tried for over a week to book a site at another RV Park. It took several calls a day for 8 days before someone answered the phone, and then told me they were fully booked with permanent campers for October. It is a few miles from Sandy Riverfront RV Park, so I drove there and took a look around their campground. I am so glad they were full and I stayed at Sandy Riverfront, because this campground is 1000% better and nicer. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Older park in very nice condition. Follow directions on website for easy driving access. Office folks very friendly and helpful at check in. Our site was a back in along the creek with plenty of room; site had an extra parking pad, so there was no street parking throughout the park. Many long termers here, but all have very nice 5th wheel or motorhomes. Our neighbors were from Florida and they spend the summer here visiting family and escaping Florida summer heat/humidity. That's the type of long termers here, not people in run down trailers and kids on bikes. Yes, there is a train track nearby but apparently there is only one intersection that it must toot its horn, so you really don't hear it. Yes, this area is near the airport but we never heard planes during the night time. We thought it was a nice, quiet park. Showers very clean. We didn't use the HD cable box and instead used our antennae and got about 50 channels; that met our needs. Good dog walking area to the left as you enter the park. Overall we enjoyed our 3 night stay and when we return to this area next time, we will definitely choose this RV Park again. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Troutdale is a quaint little town that is worth a walk through. We visited the Edgefield about 2 miles away for dog friendly outdoor seating and great pub style food.

We stayed for exploring the George and Portland. Great location. We were pleasantly surprised by the park. Easy to navigate, nice sites although a little close to your neighbor, but you stay here to explore and not to be in the park all day. Very friendly staff. Good free wifi and good reception on the antenna. There was no early noise from departing workers during our stay and the train is indeed close but not noisy at night. We will be back. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I was disappointed that one of my favorite stops has turned into a "trailer Park". Although there are more than a dozen or so pull through spaces for short term rental, the bulk of the park is taken up by rigs that have an accumulation of stuff. The persons in the space next to me seemed to be very protective of their perceived boundaries. Not comfortable for me as a traveler only staying a night or two. There are many other RV parks in the area. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A very quiet and clean RV park right along the Sandy River. Staff super friendly! Agree with other reviewers that the sites can be somewhat close depending on what type of rig is parked next to you, but we've been in parks with much tighter sites than these so it wasn't a problem. The sites are cement with plenty of room for our tow vehicle and our 40' coach. We had a pull through site and it was easy to navigate. Follow the park signs on I-84...take Exit 17 especially if you have a larger rig. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Within easy distance to visit Mt. Hood which was very quiet summer being over and too early for ski season. This time of year (early Fall) the apples and pears were dripping off the trees so stop at some of the fruit stands along the way and enjoy!

Nice clean park, good for a one night on the road stay. level concrete pad. Although they are set up for late arrivals, (we arrived about 5 on a Sunday afternoon) The owner/manager was there when we put our payment in the box. When we asked for the bath code she was very hesitant to provide it as we were a late check in. She would not provide the wifi codes for the same reason. Quite crusty for sure. The staff was very pleasant and he went out his way to help us. The park was very clean and staff was in the process of making improvements. Get directions from Trailer Life as GPS brings you into the park from a different direction and it was a little difficult for a big rig. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park - lots of long term but most in good shape. Short walk to dog friendly river - easy in and out with our 43 ft motor home. As other reviewers have noted watch which way you come in - we came in over the very narrow 1 lane bridge... We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very pretty park with easy access from I84 but as others have said, use exit 17 rather than 18. Otherwise, you will be dealing with low trees and a narrow bridge. The sites are asphalt with grassy yards and the park is very well maintained. Even the long terms spots looked nice. My only complaint is that the sites are very close together. When you have two large rigs next to each other with slides extended, the yard feel very cramped. The WiFi was good. We didn't use the cable because you had to use their box, but we could pull in the Portland stations OTA. We would definitely stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

Just 15 min. to Multnomah Falls, but go early. The parking lot fills up. There's a Camping World just across I84 and a truck wash that does RVs for $1.50 a foot. Would have done it ourselves if we'd realized that the park allowed it.

Wish we could have stayed here longer, but alas the road beckoned. This is simply a beautiful resort along the Sandy River...easy to walk down to the river and experience the cool water on a hot summer day. My lab loved it! Resort is well laid out and we were lucky to have a river front site available...gorgeous view outside our back window. One note, there is a train track nearby, so there is that occasional interruption, but one will find that along most of the Columbia river Gorge. Since we were here for just one night, hubby didn't hook up the sewer etc, so for once we decided to use the resort showers.....boy was that a treat! Very clean and love the hot water and pressure. One travel note...we came from the east and directions took us off Exit 17 and routed us under a 13'10" railroad undercrossing. We didn't want to chance any overhead bump, so we used Exit 18 and which routed us through downtown Troutdale. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tall grass and weeds surrounding site. Up charge to stay on creek that was so overgrown you could tell if there was a creek. Have to use a digital box for cable, which is about the same as no cable. They hand out a sheet for internet access, yet mark through it and tell you not to follow those instructions. When I asked how I access, they did not know and I was told to call customer support. This is not a "Resort" RV Park. Full timers everywhere. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

OVERALL COMMENTS: We liked the park and would return. Very clean throughout. GETTING THERE: GPS may direct I-84 at Exit 18 - will necessitate a tricky right turn onto a narrow, one-lane bridge. Rather, use Exit 17 and let GPS take you to the park or call for instructions. Plenty room along driveway to park for check-in. CHECK-IN; Reception area is a small but comfortable for 1-3 people checking in. The entrance/check-in set up is such that campers arrive single-file. Just hang out in your coach and pull forward until you are #1 or #2, then go in to register. Efficient process. OFFICE STAFF: Very friendly and helpful. They are respectful and suggest things to do during visit. They don't rush you but get you through quickly, telling you what you need to know. Well done! ESCORT/DIRECTIONS TO SITE: Map and verbal directions to site. Directions clear and site was easy to find. CAMPGROUND BROCHURE: Excellent. Two useful items lacking are phone/address for urgent care and vet (could ask a vet to advertise). SECURITY: None provided; Not gated. We felt safe/secure. ROADS: Asphalt SITE: Adequate. Parking is tight, but manageable for full sized vehicle (F-150). Includes small, usable lawn between sites. Our site was shady. WATER PRESSURE: Variable 35-60 psi - was never a problem in coach. SATELLITE: May not work in some sites due to shade trees. We had to pull forward slightly to get signal lock. CABLE: Not used WIFI: Free Tango net - excellent for entire visit. Let office staff how many devices you plan to use. VEHICLE WASH: Allowed ASSISTANCE: Outstanding. BATHROOMS/SHOWERS/HANDICAP ACCESS: Not used or inspected OBSTACLES: Nothing obvious. More than adequate room to maneuver. MEETING FACILITIES: Indoor - Small community room. Not used. Outdoor - None that I saw We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

5 minute walk to town from rear of park. Very good food at Troutini although a bit pricey. Everything is made from scratch so it will take longer but worth the wait. Waitress was great. Bandit's offers happy hour on tap beer for $2.00. Bar food is OK. Locals will chat you up. Walmart a few miles away and outlet stores are walkable near the end of town.
