Spent a week plus a couple of days at Roamer's Rest. Clean and simple park, with basic amenities like full hook ups, pull through sites, shower, restrooms and laundry. No playground, no picnic tables, no swimming pools or fenced off dog areas. Pleasant walk by the river. Book early - this popular park fills up quickly!

I woud have stayed longer to finish some business of mine, but they were booked over the weekend. Definitely my go-to place when I visit Portland. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great place to stay while visiting Portland! The campground is safe and friendly. The WiFi is SO bad and is one of the anemities that we expect to be good at all campgrounds or we don't return. It is the year 2017 after all! So if you don't have any use for WiFi this is a perfect campground for you. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park has terrible TV service. The WIFI is also terrible. There are NO amenities. One would think for the price that you could at least have a picnic table. Didn't use the bath or laundry, so I can't say. Many full time campers. Cars in the way of other vehicles. Parked o driveway. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beware when you enter, very steep driveway with very steep driveway/check in parking. For a big rig, it is difficult. I drive a Sprinter so, no problem. We stayed in site #4, which is at the top of the park, close to laundry and bathrooms. Sites are cement pad, but exceptionally hard to level your rig on. In the upper part of the park sites are close to Hwy 99, so you do experience noise from highway. Bathrooms were very clean. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were fortunate to be there during the Himalaya Blackberry ripening, which allowed us to "gorge" on these great berries. It's too bad that the berry vines blocked the view of the Tualatin River, but we WERE fortunate to be able to be located by the river and along the walk that allowed us to visit with all of the dog owners. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice and helpful staff! Park was beautiful and park-like. Liked that they had recycling bins along with the trash bins. Easy in and out access, with flat and level pads with grass between sights. Clean, clean, clean! Loved our 3 night stay here. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a week. Spaces are really close, WiFi is terrible. Very few cable channels.
Office personnel is very friendly. They do let you wash your car. Probably would not stay here again. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was our first stay at a commercial RV park after the purchase of our fifth-wheel. We hated it - just a parking lot that has been parceled out for maximum profit. Owner & manager stuffed rigs in right next to each other even though park was sparsely occupied. Totally obsessed with their unimpressive narrow grass strips. This park left us feeling like we needed to get our rig outfitted for boondock camping pronto as this sort of park is like living in tenement housing. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There are mostly long term people. The parks hostess is very nice. There is a long down hill driveway when you enter. There are only a few TV channels and half the time some don't work. The WiFi is iffy at best.

When I pointed it out and asked if there was any compensation-the answer was that the repair man was coming from Canada and he would be there in a few days. No refund of any kind.

For the price you would think that there would be more amenities.

You are paying for a place to park on a cement pad. The neighbor was so close that we could not put our awning down. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is in excellent shape. Clean and very friendly people that run it. The only thing is that the pull thru's are a bit short to park tow vehicle in but that is accommodated by the guest/overflow parking. We would stay here again for sure! We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice paved park. Our pull thru site was fairly unlevel lengthwise but was perfectly level side to side. Our site was very close to our neighbors. All utilites worked fine. We didn't use their cable TV and their wifi was about the speed of dialup. Our Verizon phone signal was strong. The section of park that we stayed in was down a fairly steep hill and it takes a lot of power to pull your rig out of there. The management was very friendly and helpful. The park is well kept and clean. Nights were quiet, no traffic or train noise. We stayed for 2 nights in a 37' travel trailer. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park! We had a back-in spot across from the flower garden and bird sanctuary. River was behind us with a well kept grassy area between. Concrete pads (the whole site) meaning coach parking/toad parking/patio area. Sewer hook-up was way to the front of the coach instead of back with the water and elec. Had to buy a $5 rubber fumes ring at check-in since the county has strict rules and the sewer connectors do not have ability to screw in normal RV sewer connectors. No enclosed dog area but a very long, grassy area along the river to walk. Mgmt very fussy about what you put outside your coach! Only a table and chairs...not even a cooler. No picnic tables. We did not use the showers but checked them out and were very impressed. There were 3 (or 4) full bathrooms with toilet/sink/shower in the building that housed the laundry in the lower park area. Beautifully tiled, modern, clean bathrooms. Whole park shows pride of ownership. Especially enjoyed the song birds in the sanctuary with our morning coffee. Tricky getting into the park. Our GPS lead us to make a U-turn which is illegal in the state of OR so beware. We would (and will) stay here again. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed there while a new home was being built for about 3 months, enjoying the facilities, the personnel, and the proximity to the Tualatin River...solid, level pads; utilities very well maintained; reasonably easy entry and egress to the campground. Immediately close to 99W. WiFi is acceptable but not spectacular. Over the air TV reception excellent, cable acceptable. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Traffic patterns on 99W are at times quite congested. There is reasonably good access to I-5 thru via Durham Rd and thus North to PDX, or South to the "wine country"... Best shopping on Tualatin-Sherwood Rd near I-5 or one exit North to a fabulous shopping center, or one exit South to Costco.

This park is very very clean and the people who run it are amazingly nice and accommodating. The one and ONLY complaint I have about this place is the odor. There is a strong sewage smell throughout the park. Makes sitting outside intolerable and even sleeping with windows open impossible. I wish it wasn't so because we loved the place otherwise, but unfortunately the stink would keep me from coming back again. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

The sites are very close together. We had to reposition our rig because our slide would have hit the neighbor's awning. We were disappointed that we were assigned a 30 amp service without being asked our preference. Most parks of this size have 50 amp service at all sites. My wife asked why we were not offered a 50 amp site, the woman said, "you didn't ask". Not a real customer friendly response. She did offer us a new site, but by this time we were already set up. Lesson learned for us. But, we usually don't encounter this problem. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.
