Our site was not raked, fire pit had wine bottle, papers plastic stuff. Was just long enough our 36 5th wheel, had to park along the road. No other area to park your vehicle. Power, water and sewer all good. Except the cable cord was just barely sticking out of the ground next to power center. Almost didn't think there was cable have never seen anything like that. This is also a thousand trails so they stop by to tell you about it. Noise from Hwy 27 is loud as the back in is right on the hwy. Was ok late at night. Site somewhat level. Check in was easy. I did complain regarding the dirty fire pit and they came right away and cleaned it up. It's an attractive location we needed something that had cabins because we had friends staying along with us. Would not recommend the tiny houses they offer our friends not much room. Oh RV site came with stink bugs and were still killing them after 3 days. Which you have no control over this in a forest area. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was very busy for staying in the middle of the week. A bit nosier then we expected. The spots are not very level, but not horrible. We have stayed at other "Thousand Trails" park and this was a very nice compared to the others. The spots are larger and seemed to be better planned out in the park. The employee were very nice and welcoming. The person at the check in did say that the park was going to get some upgrades but the process is very slow. The showers are on the scary side; inside the restrooms, which did not have a working lock, no lock on the shower doors, shower heads are very old. It bothered my husband so much he stood outside and waiting for me. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a back- in FHU site. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of our site. The fire ring had a large amount of cigarette butts and other debris. The site was muddy, making it difficult to get into/out of our vehicle. We have camped extensively, but our first at a Thousand Trails/Encore park. We expected a pristine park for the amount charged, which was very high for a weekday stay in the fall. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Since this is part of our Thousand Trails membership, we stayed at this Encore Park for no charge. Normal retail is $60. Check in is super easy & friendly and the park is massive, with sites for RVs, tents, and rentals of Yurts, Tiny Houses and cabins. Most of the older park is heavily shaded so the new Beaver Valley section is a welcome addition for those looking for satellite signal. This is a full service, gated resort, with indoor and outdoor pools, a large lodge, two fitness rooms, modern laundry, small fully stocked store and cafe on site. There are several paths leading down to the Salmon River and one path leading up to the Cascade Streamwatch, in the Wildwood Recreation Site (don't miss the Fish Viewing Center!). We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Welches is a very small town with a local Thriftway grocery store, liquor store and one gas station. There are a few restaurants and pubs, featuring "resort pricing" for most everything. The town of Sandy is only about 15 minutes away, with everything you could need. There are LOTS of hiking trails and its a short drive to Trillium Lake (stunning views of Mt. Hood) and Timberline Lodge, the iconic National Historic Site made famous in The Shinning.

Unless you have a Thousand Trails membership, I feel this Campground is highly overpriced. The campground is in a wooded area which gives you lots of shade. The sites are uneven, dirt (no gravel) and close together. You get the feel of being in a state campground rather than an "RV Resort." They do have a nicely stocked camp store with reasonable prices. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great park near My Hood. Paved roads throughout. Sites available for all sized RV's. Most sites in trees. Staff stagared occupants in sites so people were not feeling close to neighbors. Sites had all amenities in working condition. Pool and hot tub near office area. Well stocked store for campers. Only drawback was the meeting/rec room was not stocked and basically empty. WiFi only at office/pool area We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The park was deserted in our area after the weekend. Very quiet. Our first spot was in a traffic area and we got another one and it was quiet. Office staff was very accommodating. This park is expanding. They need to use some money to update their satellite/cable and WiFi at each campsite. They stated that the cable company has limitations. Our restroom/shower area was not working correctly, however, they had a sign that they were waiting on a part. Very good experience. We camped in May and during the week was not crowded. After reading some of the reviews here I was a little afraid of staying here but when we got there it wasn't like what we heard. The front desk gal was super nice to us even show us places to go around the area. Bathroom was clean, swimming was large and nice. I kids loved. would definitely return.... Restrooms were constantly filthy and did not have toilet paper - were In severe need of updating. Showers were missing the water handles so could not be used - sign in showers saying parts were on order (looked like they had been there for awhile). Notified front desk that bathrooms needed attention, but nothing happened. Would not stay here again. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our first "resort" stay (normally we stick to state parks). The major advantage to this resort is that it has a lot to offer campers - hot tubs, swimming pools, activities, etc. We used none of those (it's not our thing). Another advantage(?) is that there is a ton of people to meet. Unless of course you would rather have some decent space in your site, then it's not an advantage. This place was the least clean of the 10 or so campgrounds we stayed at this summer. However, with the numbers of campers that stay each night - I surprised at how clean it really was. There was Verizon service, but it wasn't sufficient for use as an Internet connection. I tried their WiFi at the "lodge" but had no luck connecting to the Internet there either. If you can ignore the traffic, the people, the gun shots in the not too distance - it is in a pretty setting. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful location. We chose it because it's so woodsy and very "squatchy" ;-) Wide and easy to navigate in our 38' A class and we are newbies. Nice check in procedure. This place has a playground, a fully stocked store with almost everything you could imagine as well as a bakery that serves breakfast and lunch only. We stayed in VM98 and were backed up to the woods. Beautiful spot. Not a ton of sun. The only con was the fire pits were all full of junk. We didn't have a fire but if we had I would have been upset. A lot of garbage. My 2 year d was obsessed with fire pits during this trip so I feel like we looked in all of them looking for a "fire". They all had garbage and debris in them. We bought a TT membership here and will definitely be back. Many many sites were not even. No gravel. They do need to shovel some in or something to help with the mud in some of them. For this price at least. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our first experience with an Encore park. Stayed here 5 days using a free promotional offer. We were visiting Oregon and selected this park as a home base for the Mt Hood and Columbia River Gorge area. Easy to find from Hwy 26. Check in was efficient and staff was courteous. The facilities: pool, office, store, clubhouse and onsite restaurant are very nice. The park is extensive. No escort to site. We were in the VM loop. Interior road is paved but site is a mix of gravel/dirt. The site is overgrown with vegetation with an area just clear enough to fit our 43' motorhome. The drop off from the asphalt into the site is about 6" at our site. The site starts uphill then levels out with a slight lean left to right. Tricky backing in. Our power box was held on by electrical tape that was wrapped around it making it functional. Utilities worked fine. Cable was marginal and satellite was impossible due to canopy. Our site had a fire ring/grill with trash that needed cleaning. As we can drove in we noticed trash dumpsters along the side of the loop. In front of our site we had two dumpsters making it very unsightly. The CG sites/loops are neglected and need maintenance. Other sites have the same appearance. No doggy park. The location is great for visiting many local attractions: Timberline Lodge, Mirror Lake, the Gorge, waterfalls, many hiking trails and the town of Sandy, etc. If we had to pay for the site we would not stay here but the location is great. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This camp has a restaurant, pool and is near the river if you like to kayak or fish. It is an short drive to Government Camp and Mt Hood, and a pleasantdrive to Columbia River Gorge. Lots and lots of families so the he pool is filled with kids. All sites are different, so we really cannot speak to levelness or location of utilities. We were in #1 which was a pull through. It was on a slope in the pines, and where it was level, the site was very, very damp. Still, the wooded ambience was great. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park and has many camping sites from tents to RVs to yurts to tiny houses. It is "close" to the metropolitan Portland, OR area; it gets a lot of use. That said, it is a good place to stay as a central place to explore the Mt. Hood area, and it is open all year. There are many features for the campers of all levels, and a pool/hot tub/workout facility, and playgrounds and bike riding. The staff is OK, but often seem overcome by the stress of maintaining a place as big as this and with as many people who stay here. We would stay here again, largely because of its location. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.
