The best RV resort in Winchester Bay. Large spaces, we stayed in 103 which has bay views. Friendly staff with well maintained sites. Canadian Geese and harbor seals make this a wonderful place to stay. We have family in the area but always stay here in our RV. We will return as this park is our favorite. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bedrocks pizza is the best around which is an easy walk from the park. Also, there are seasonal seafood restuarants. Nearby beaches, fishing, and crabbing are some activities available. Winchester Bay is In the middle of the Dunes recreation area.

Reviews by other are right on. Not a 10 from because we prefer more of a campground that RV Park atmosphere. Having said that, the waterfront site views are terrific. Our rate was for a long interior pull through. Best cable TV and wifi we've encountered, anywhere. Our satellite TV and Verizon phone worked perfectly as well. This is our #1 Favorite RV Park, Location, Location. Very Busy, you usually have to get a reservation a year in advance, We were there in Sept, when the Salmon fishing was great along the Resort's Rocky Breakwater. Park very clean, park hosts friendly. Office Staff very helpful during a Medical problem. Lots of grass. Utilities, WiFi works fine. 2 laundromats on facility, DOG Friendly. We will be back. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

It seems our number one favorite RV park of the past has dropped to second place after visiting this beautiful park in Salmon Harbor, OR. We have tried for about three years to secure reservations for a waterfront site at this park but to no avail until we lucked out a couple of months ago and were able to get one for only three nights. Upon arrival we noticed immediately why all the reviews we had read rated it so high. Beautifully landscaped, right on a jetty in the harbor, and with breathtaking views of both the inner and outer harbor. Great office staff and other resort folks that work there. There is a walking path that goes completely around the park and it is right at the waters edge. We had a marina waterfront space so we had the lights at night of the boats and the small harbor village located directly across from us. A few rain showers that are pretty much typical on the Oregon coast this time of year but they came and went and left plenty of time for walks both within the park and over to the village for breakfast and lunch a couple of times. The facilities are spotless with clean bathrooms and shower areas and a really nice laundry room. There are two of these facilities within the park so it's a short walk to either one no matter what space you are in. At the office there is a small gift shop with some neat "stuff" and a clubhouse in the center of the park that is available for private parties and get togethers, etc. We had excellent Verizon coverage also and our satellite TV system functioned flawlessly. And yes we did make reservations for next year and were able to reserve another waterfront site on the marina side. We tried to stay over a couple more nights this trip but were unable to due to there being no sites available. Booked up full as they usually are all year long.................... We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Same as always. Great staff, clean facility, good value. Did have to move to a different site to accommodate our stay. They allow parking by the activity center to fill the time gap from check out to check in. This was great for us, since we were out fishing all morning. Ask what day the lawns are mowed... to avoid surprises. Unger's fish is now gone (locals say for good) but there are several other choices within a mile (easy and safe) walk.

The only reason they didn't get a 10 was because our reservation was messed up but they worked long & hard to accommodate us. I'm very clear when booking that we have a 45' Class A plus a tow. When we arrived they had us in a 40' spot with no parking and no access with our wide turning radius. Apparently a former new employee made lots of these mistakes and they've been fixing them all summer. We dry-camped at their MAC no charge the 1st night and then moved into a lovely site with a water view the next day. This is a beautiful campground, meticulously maintained. Very friendly, helpful staff and neighbors. Book well in advance because it's almost always full. I booked in January and they could only give us 4 nights. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We loved everything about our stay in Winchester Bay. We went to the coast to escape the heat in Portland - so it was nice to be cooler, but there were a couple of days when it was downright COLD! Nice quiet park with level spots, a nice walking path and an easy walk to nearby restaurants. The dunes are nearby, so there are lots of ATV's, but the park required them to push them when in the park. Lots of crabs being cooked too! We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is one of the most beautiful parks we've camped in. The park in on a peninsula with a harbor on one side and bay on the other. The park is very clean, well groomed. Each site is inspected and cleaned between guests. Sites are concrete with grass on each side. All sites very spacious. Facilities are modern and clean. The laundry room has a 180 view of the bay. We stayed 6 nights and had to move once, but we knew this when we made our reservation. Both sites were great. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I really don't want to tell you that this once again my #1 R V Park. I don't want to tell you that the restrooms and showers are immaculate. I don't want to tell you that the front desk ladies are the friendliest at any RV Park I have ever been to. I don't want to tell you that the weather was almost perfect for the Oregon Coast. I DON'T want to tell you all of this because it will become more difficult to get a reservation at this beyond excellent RV Park. And yes, of course, I have already made my 2018 reservations. Park totally blew us away. Very tidy, nicely landscaped. Get views of boat harbor and bay. Level concrete pads with decent grass spacing between sites. Utilities worked great. Best internet speed we've ever had in an RV park. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry are all clean. Only slight ding we could see is for shower setup. While clean, the individual drying area is tight with no place to sit. Great park to just relax in or as a home base for the area. Will definitely stay here again. Stayed 6 nights. First 4 at space 123 which I picked for the large side "yard" and being om the water. We then had to move directly across the street due to a prior reservation. The park is super clean, very well maintained and staffed with friendly staff. Our second time there. The ocean views and the drive along the dunes on highway 101 are second to none. Bring camera(s) and binoculars! We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many Off Road Vehicle rental shops and the dunes are within riding distance. There is a small US Coast Guard base across the river and their 47' cutter would pass by a couple of times a day. A Search and Rescue helicopter is also stationed there and sometimes takes off and lands during SAR operations. A couple miles north is Freeport with the usual fuel/grocery/restaurants.

We stayed here 6 nights around Memorial Day weekend. We had been doing RV repairs in Eugene so called for a site only a couple of days prior but they were able to get us in. The park has excellent interior roads and access to sites which provided enough length for our 42' motorhome. Sites are paved and level with modern utilities and nice site lights. Wi-Fi was excellent. Room for tow car to park alongside. The resort is bordered by the Winchester Bay Marina on the east and the Umpqua River to the west, leading to the Pacific Ocean. It is 1/2 mile to Winchester Bay cafes and businesses, 4 miles to Reedsport to the north, and about 25 to Florence further north and Coos Bay on the south, via Hwy 101. Oregon Dunes National Rec Area is within 5 miles. Grounds are beautifully landscaped. Bath/shower/laundry buildings are block and glass with tiled facilities. Office staff was helpful and other park attendants are available after hours. There is a 1-mile paved walkway around the perimeter. Open grass areas house playground equipment, a putting green and cornhole/beanbag setups. We stopped through here 2 years ago to have lunch and see the resort and are certainly glad we could return for a stay. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.
