Great park right on the bay. Our site over looked the harbor the views where stunning. Easy access wide roads with back in sites for trailers and head in sites for motorhomes, also had pull thrus. Who ever designed this park new what they where doing. The sites are wide and because of the way they are laid out felt spacious. If you do not care about a pool than this park is a '10'. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Winchester Bay RV park is a park right on the Bay. Water surrounds the park on three sides. The sites are spacious enough with the RV and a picnic table sitting on asphalt. There is room to park your toad on the site. Each site has full hookups and the wifi works OK at times. It can get a bit windy at the park. On the bad side, the park does not allow packages or mail to patrons to be collected by the park office. We stayed at the park in a motorhome and would stay there again. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A fantastic setting of the harbor, lots of view, grass. Paved pads, newer hookups well maintained as best as we could tell. Will go back again. The office staff are less than friendly. We booked more than 6 months in advance but still were told we would have to move, one night in one space, one night in another. Told to call as often as wanted to see about getting two nights in one space. Every time we called which was 2-3 times a week, we would ask if any cancellations and without a moments hesitation, no.. Every time, no... Including when we checked in we asked, and without looking up, said "NO". Others staying there said the experienced the same attitude. Less than pleasant. However, we will stay again and book even further in advance next time. There are people who come for months at a time so there are probably few cancellations. But it could be handled better and more politely. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sand dunes all over the place. Harbor has fisherman type restaurants. Not fancy but good food. Not all that much choice on fresh fish to buy. Reedsport is just a short drive which as several better restaurants, groceries and other shopping. Not a fancy place but nice. Had very good WiFi and Direct TV

If you read my last years review, nothing has changed. All of my camping neighbors want me to tell you that this is the worst park anywhere. I simply can not do that. This is still my number one park . Upon arrival, you are greeted by the friendliest office staff that exists. Pleasant courteous helpful. Each site is cleaned after one camper leaves and the next one returns. As true with everything. after 2 glorious weeks, our stay had to end. See you next year. Simply said this is one of the nicest and best RV parks/resorts we stay at. It simply doesn't get any better than this for us. Incredible harbor and bay views, great facilities, everything works and the sites are asphalt and level and with a nice grassy area and fire pit to sit by. It is easy to see why it is very difficult to get a reservation at this park and why we now make our future ones each time before we leave. A walking path goes completely around the park and is right next to the water. Windy at times but not steady. It can also rain off and on even during the summer months but this is the Oregon coast after all. Two large restroom/laundry room buildings are within easy walking from all areas in the park and they are kept spotlessly clean at all times. A small gift/novelty shop is within the office building located just within the main entrance. Really great staff and personnel. Not an easy place to get reservations but well worth it if you can and if you have some flexibility as to dates and being willing to most likely move at time or two while there on an extended stay as this place is constantly full. The sign out front says that every day and time of the year we are there. One morning one of the office gals told us there were 48 leaving and 48 arriving that day so that about says it all........ We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A small marina is situated directly across the small bay from the park as is a small village with several shops and great places to chow down on some great seafood and clam chowder, etc. Griff's and the Crabby Cafe are two of our favorites. These are within walking distance for most. There is also a small market with all the essentials located at the main turnoff from Hwy 101 into the bay area. You would need some form of transportation to it however if you aren't into a longer walk....

One of the nicest parks we've ever been to. Camp hosts tidy up sites after they are vacated, including sanitizing the water connection. Our site was a waterfront on marina side. These are head in, which allows water views through your windshield. On the opposite side are bay view back in sites, which are popular with people that have rear windows in their RV's. All sites have a combination of grass and pavement for your RV and tow. T-Mobile doesn't have coverage here but the other major providers seem to work fine. The only negatives are slow to non existent wifi and the grass is constantly wet due to the damp conditions and watering 5-6 times per week. This means moving furniture, bbq's, etc. each night to avoid having them soaking wet in the morning. Those negatives aside, we will be back. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are planning to do a lot of ATV'ing, they are not allowed to be operated in the RV park and must be towed or pushed to the ATV path on main road. They are allowed to be operated in the nearby county campgrounds and some have hookups and would be a better option.

This is one of the best parks we've stayed at. It overlooks the harbor and river channel. Roads and sites are paved and level. Amenities were clean and adequate. Staff is friendly. Park is well-kept. Setting is remarkable. One thing needs to change, however. The policy of allowing campfires is an enormous draw back. The wind here rarely ceases, and dry fire wood seems to be unobtainable in Oregon. The result is a camp "fire" that consists of 90% smoke and 10% flame. The prevailing wind pollutes the campground with acrid smoke for hundreds of yards around the offending site. Nobody benefits from this outdated policy. Please consider your options here. Skip the camp fire and your neighbors will be able to enjoy their visit. Otherwise, this is a great park. Thank you. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest parks (and most beautiful) we have ever stayed in! Check-in was fast and easy. We arrived before the folks ahead of us had left so were directed to a paved parking area looking out over the Umpqua river to stay until the folks ahead of us left. After a few minutes, one of the several campground hosts came by to tell us that the site was now empty and they were on their way to clean it so it would be ready in about 10 minutes. The waiting area was so nice, we took our time before we left. When we arrived at our site, it was fantastic! A pull- forward pull-into site, it looked directly into a large and beautiful marina. We watched boats go in and out, fish jumping, hawks fishing and more. The site itself was very, very nice. The place we parked out RV was level and paved as was a spot next to us for a tow car. Each site has a large grassy area, perfect for sitting outside and watching the wildlife. The interior roads are paved and wide. In fact everything about this resort is top drawer. We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed much longer! We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Every RV park should be like this one! A beautiful park in a beautiful location; easy access from US 101; excellent WiFi; surrounded by water; wide paved roads; well landscaped; walking paths; nearby eateries; quiet. Mix of types of RVs, but predominately class A's. Sites are a tad narrow, but all are angled in such a way that they seem spacious with easy in and out access. Mix of pull throughs and back-ins. We stumbled into this one when a reservation elsewhere did not work out and glad we did. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park in a very nice little fishing village. Level, asphalt pull-in site (#4) right on the water on the Marina side. Walking path is located right between site and water so, if you aren't into lots of folks walking/biking by your site, might want to choose something different. Nice asphalt patio and picnic table. Small but lush green grass area with fire pit. Watched osprey, harbor seals, seagulls vying for their dinner in the small cove right in front of the campsite. Utilities in good condition with electrical/cable/water towards the back and sewer more towards the center of the site. Good cable tv selection and open for satellites. Firewood purchased in the office and delivered to your site. Small grocery stores near the entrance to the resort/marina, Safeway close by in Reedsport, Walmart in North Bend. Just down the street in the marina area is a nice ice cream/taffy shop, gift shop with eclectic stuff, coffee shop, fresh fish markets, sourdough bakery, sports bar, and a number of restaurants. We tried Griffs (small, but excellent clam strips, chowder, steamers and fish) and the brand new La Herradura (fresh Mexican). RV Masters In Reedsport for parts and service! Shore Acres State Park (33 miles), Cape Arago State Park (35 miles), Bullard's Beach and Coquille River Lighthouse (46 miles) In Coos Bay: Charleston Marine Life Center, Cranberry Sweets Candy Shop, Blue Heron Bistro, Little Italy. Not much at the Coos Bay Boardwalk area and if you venture off the main road it can get really seedy really fast. Lake Marie is just up the road from the RV resort near the lighthouse. Good for fishing, kayaking, swimming and hiking the trail.

This is a lovely setting and the owners have made the best of it. The park is situated on a point of land that has water on 3 sides. The roads and sites are cement. Pads are well-spaced, wide, quite level and have a separate area for your towed car. Utility setups are excellent and include premium cable. All the sites have a picnic table, a nice grassy area and plenty of room for lawn chairs, etc. Most sites are nose-in which we thought was odd until we saw the lovely view of the water we had. We were in the 2nd row but with the terracing the rigs in the front didn't block us at all. There is plenty of grass, lovely landscaping and a paved walking path around the periphery. The restrooms & laundry are spotless. The laundry has plenty of machines and a pretty view. This park is my new favorite place! We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.
