Great views of Lake Erie! I've been tent camping here for years and will definitely go back. I think it's a little on the pricey side for what you get, but the view alone makes it worth the money.
RV parking is in a large almost entirely open field. There are a decent number of seasonal campers. They have some great fishing off the old dock, as well as kayak rentals on-site. It's a family run business, and they are great people. Very nice to talk to. Very strict on the 5 MPH speed limit. (I learned that my first trip out there many years ago.)
I would definitely recommend. It's worth checking out. - Bill from PA
Sep 2013 - $43.00
Absolutely gorgeous!! Waterfront sites in soft green grass. Fire rings! Full hook ups. No cable, but who needs TV with this experience. We stayed one night due to our schedule but if we had known what was waiting here we would have planned longer. You can walk and enjoy the shoreline and nature. Call for directions! They were right on track and we didn't have any problems. The GPS would have messed us up. Staff friendly. There are a lot of full time campers but the pull through sites are all in their own area. I would book a week here next time. - Susan A.
Aug 2011 - $46.00
We camped in a lakefront site for three days and two nights. There was no real distinguishable parking for our RV, except for the ruts in the field from previous campers. All camping sites that I saw were just grass/dirt, which really added to the dirt/etc that we tracked into our rig. The electric was in good condition and looked newer, and the sewer was easy to hook into. The water pressure was very low. The staff were there. I decided to WD40 the swing set, so I could stand to push my daughter on the squeaky thing. The one really outstanding thing about this park is the fact that it is right on Lake Erie. This is stifled by the fact that there are so many weeds on the bank that the lake is unreachable, unless you walk down to the boat ramp. What a shame. My wife informed me that the shower house was a long uphill walk to a total disaster. The bathrooms are just outhouses. Will I go back? Not unless I decide I again want to sit and look at lake Erie from a distance. - Levi Green
Oct 2008 - $29.00
The good thing about this place was we were backed up to Elk Creek and could watch fisherman fishing for steelhead. Then this place goes downhill and fast. The bathrooms both men and woman were not cleaned, smelled and the you had to turn on the lights after you walked in and locked the door. The "street lighting" was on all night and was right behind us. We were spaced on top of each other, too close to put up the awning, no picnic table, no fire ring. Would not recommend this place nor stay here again. Too expensive for what is offered. Clean it up, bring the price down and maybe. - Ohiojude
Aug 2016 - $49.00
Stopped here because of the last review on July 2015 by WALT66 as we only needed a quick over night. All amenities were "good enough" for an overnight. However, the lady attendant said they haven't been part of PA for years (obviously a lie) & we were charged $49 for 30A E & W. Not coming back & will be spreading the word. - Gerry H
Jul 2015 - $20.00
Read the preceding reviews, must have gotten lucky. The park was quiet, no dogs barking. The seasonals had a bonfire but were quiet. Did not check the showers or bathrooms. I was greeted politely by the lady at the counter, as a matter of fact she called me earlier the day to find out my arrival time and to advise me that there was a severe storm warning for 4:30. Sure enough I arrived at 4:30 and was in the middle of the storm. Sat in parking lot until it let up. Was given a shade site so no TV, decent 30 amp. Did not hook up to water as we are here for one night before moving on. AT&T had good signal. - walt66
Aug 2014 - $25.00
Horrible camping. The seasonal campers allow their dogs to run around off the leash, bothering my dog, on my site, who was on a leash. They allow their dogs to bark for hours on end, and the bathrooms are a dump! Lights not working, dirty showers. Dumpster reeks of rotting, dead fish. Overall the place sucks. Not worth returning. - shabbylover

Camp Eriez is a fishing village, but don't let that fool you. There are 15
pull thru sites dedicated to the overnight stays. All the access roads are black topped and the site pads are around 55' long, level, and gravel. The patio is grass. Site width is about 35' with a full grown maple tree planted mid-site for shade. Each site has a campfire ring and all the picnic tables were in great shape. The 50a power was stable, water pressure was around 45psi, there is no sewer at the site however the dump station is conveniently located. Our hotspot got a decent signal for internet purposes. Being the end of summer, some of the grass in the patio area was beaten up. We arrived after a rain storm and the sandy soil had absorbed all standing water. The campground and surrounding seasonal village is well kept and maintained. While some of the seasonal fisherman have their collection of gear, the place had a purposeful, lived in feel but was not junky. The swimming pool had just closed for the season and will undergo renovations for next year. They have a little viewing area overlooking Lake Erie equipped with benches for watching sunsets. We were pleasantly surprised with this campground and would definitely come back again. - Born2Roam
Aug 2015 - $35.00
I was very impressed. Friendly attendant, a large pull-through site for our 2 night stay, perfectly level, water at site and a generally friendly, safe, and quiet atmosphere made this a great stop over. One problem-we needed to use our Frank's Autoformer to boost the campground voltage from 99 to 120 to run our A/C safely. Campground abut 15 miles West of Erie. Good Verizon signal in campground for cellphones. - AndersonFamily
Jul 2015 - $32.00
OK park. Nice people. Good stopover. Easy to navigate for overnight stay or longer. Things are close. No problems. 50 amps was truly 50 amps, unlike some other recent parks which did not deliver either true 50 or enough actual power (volts) to run the electronics--which can actually kill your appliances if not enough volts! - carnbru
Aug 2016 - $22.00
Entrance gate is a little tight and the first turn is a bit tight with low limbs (reason for average score). RVs smaller then 40 feet will probably not have issues. There are several permanent sites but they are well maintained. Park is well maintained. - Mustcamp
Aug 2016 - $22.00
This is the third year we have stayed here. The owners are very nice and we were able to get a spot with shade, pull through, electric (50 amp) and water. The spot was almost level and an easy in and out. - Ginny H
Jul 2016 - $22.00
Handy access from Interstate but no highway noise to speak of. Good Wi-Fi, good water and 50 amp. Handy dump station. Lots of permanent and semi-permanent residents but the park is extremely clean and neat. We had an easy pull through for a quick no unhook night. Only issue was 4 inch water puddle around the site after extremely heavy rains that evening. - durham4926
Oct 2015 - $27.00
We stayed at this park after a snafu with a reservation at another campground. It's not listed anywhere. It is located on a cliff overlooking Lake Erie with a long flight of stairs going down to the beach. We couldn't get DirecTV due to the trees, but there were about ten local channels. There is a Wi-Fi hotspot in the office. There is a large heated pool and there are probably a large number of campers and day visitors in season. It is very convenient to Presque Isle State Park. - RVerMJ
Jul 2016 - $48.00
Biggest issue was lack of signage for exit. We went the wrong way and scratched the MH. Site was fine although we couldn't get a DTV connection nor could our friends who were on a nearby site. Not many trees but apparently well placed. - Saltydog44
Jun 2016 - $75.00
The roads in the park are gravel and show no signs of being maintained. They are well worn and dusty. The sites are typical KOA, small and tight. it does not appear that the owners are reinvesting and funds to maintain the park. The trees and other plants were taking over, more so than most state parks. Our site had our neighbors septic connection at the bottom of our steps. As an example of how tight they are I could not extend both arms between our RV and the RV adjacent to us. The park did have a host of activities for children, and other social events. Could not connect to WiFi, water pressure was weak, but the power was good. We have a 45 ft 5th wheel, and entering, parking and exiting the park was extremely challenging. We will not return here. - Field Trip
Jun 2016 - $67.00
This was a very nice park. We opted for a premiun site which had everything we needed. The campground was very well organized and had plenty to keep you busy. It also had very nice gardening work throughout.
Wifi was very good but the cable did not come in very clear. For the price we would have expected better.
Definitely would stay again. - John Borajkiewicz
Sep 2016 - $38.00
We found this campsite while on our way to Niagara Falls and needed a place for over night. We were placed beside the pond in a level grassy site, with a beautiful sunset. There was no cable, but power and water pressure were excellent. Also excellent was the host. We received a recommendation for a restaurant in Niagara that was everything he said it was. Thank you for that. We did not use the showers or laundry. The campsite is a bit off the Interstate, but it was worth the couple mile drive. This site is on our saved list. We will return if ever in the area again. - G W
Aug 2015 - $33.00
Gravel Pads. Full hookups, no cable. Easy pull through and roads. - jcbus
Jun 2015 - $40.00
Showers would not work , dump station closed, pool closed, not a good place! - penn camper
Sep 2016 - $37.00
This is a mix of long term residents and one nighters. Many of the long term sites also have a boat on a trailer. Based on the number of residents leaving before 6 am, many must have jobs.
The bathrooms are very dated, peeling paint and wet floors. They seemed to be clean. Nice camp store but they were out the door at 6 pm. Five minutes after my arrival.
The overnight area was fairly empty so there was some space between units. Previous reviewers are correct in that during busy times we may have bump out issues. - fudge_brownief
Jul 2016 - $45.00
The park is nearby the Interstate. We stayed here only one night. The pool was ok. The laundromat was reasonably priced. The staff was very nice. the WiFi signal was good. - Bisan
Sep 2015 - $37.00
An older CG with easy access to I-90. Fuel right at exit, but cheaper a couple of exits east. Pulled in for 1 night without a reservation. Staff was friendly and courteous. A decently stocked store in the office building. Pull through with W/E/S. Services worked well. Water had a heavy chlorine smell, but filter dealt with it fine. Site was gravel and pretty level. Plenty long enough. Overnight (and most sites) very close together with just enough room for slideouts. No dedicated pet area. Price reflects off season and seemed a bit high, but very few empty sites attests to the fact that it is not out of line for the area. We would stay here again, but wouldn't drive extra to do it. - BounderPounder
