Good place for a quick overnight stop, close to I-80 but not a lot of road noise. Campground seemed very well kept and the staff was friendly. Price was a little high, but there are limited options on that stretch of highway. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Our site was nice and fairly secluded, however, a number of sites near the bottom of the hill looked quite cramped. We were only staying one night as we were passing through however the kids thoroughly enjoyed the scavenger hunt and the pancake breakfast. They also have a very nice camp kitchen set up for tent campers with sinks and grills under a shelter. There showers at the top of the hill are very new and all are completely private and clean. It was a bit expensive when traveling with 7 (~$68 for one night) but can tell the owners take pride in their campground. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Easy access to park, as long as you follow the directions on their website (GPS will lead you the wrong way). Helpful staff, sites were very good with plenty of room, great water pressure, and lots of activities for children. We stayed one night, but would definitely stay again. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

Only stayed for 1 night on the way north but have stayed here on other occasions for longer periods. It appears that the owners are upgrading some sites with pads and patios. We would stay here again. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a nice KOA. Some of them can be really bad. Our site was level enough. Hook ups were well placed. There was cable & WiFi. We booked online but called directly to the campground to ask for a satellite friendly site. We asked again when we got there. We were not able to get satellite from our site. It looked like there were sites that were satellite friendly but we weren't given one. The water pressure was very low. We had to fill our tank & run off of that. We would stay here again now that we know which sites to ask for to fit our needs. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

Some nice features. The bathrooms are very nice. There is a bathhouse at each end of the campground, the upper one looks new, and the lower one is older but very nice. No issues with hot water, and it was very clean. If think making a same day reservation could be difficult, as the office is open a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours in the evening and do not answer the phone during any other time of day. We have a fairly small trailer, at 20 feet. We had no issues with our site which are set up on almost terraced roads. I did see some larger RVs sticking out into the road though as some sites are not as deep as others. The higher priced sites with fire pits and patios or the pull-though sites have more space, while the back-in sites are more like parking spaces. Some of the tent sites were very nice, grassy and private, and some of the smaller sites in the back of the campground also looked very treed and private. They have a nice looking pool although it had already closed for the season, a small dog park, and volley ball, and play grounds. I would defintely stay again but be very careful about site choice. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We prefer KOA Kampgrounds for overnights, and are KOA card holders. This particular KOA is entirely on a steep hill. The spacing between sites is extremely close. In fact, on our door side, where there is a concrete slab with a bench at the rear of the site, our neighbor's sewer hose ran to their connection in the middle of our lounging area. Their water hose completely crossed our site to the shared spigot. To our "street" side, the vacant spot next to us was in constant use by campers going down to the pool or office, night and day, loud conversations and yelling kids. In fact, most of the spots in the first row have "trails" behind them leading below. I would not recommend camping in either sites 9 or 11 because of the unofficial "path" to the pool. And site 10 is the "path" itself. The park seemed to be dominated by families with kids at Penn State, and may well be its primary use. There is no other attraction to Bellefonte, and really no reason to visit that I can see. I would have preferred a no-name, unkempt and deserted park to being in this park overnight. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

When I made the reservation I reserved a Big Rig pull through site. The site we were assigned was terrible! There was an upslope to enter, I had to get out 3 times to ensure I didn't rip my Oasis exhaust off amidships! A trailer attempted to enter the site next to and was dragging so bad he left! The next morning I had to drop the toad to maneuver out on a one way street the wrong direction! To be fair they do have "some" nice sites... but if you are assigned to 2nd street with a Big Rig you're in trouble! We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

I will preface this by stating that we are KOA Kamp Kard holders and typically look for KOA Kampgrounds if available for short stays or layovers. This is a good place for an overnight layover. The spots are very tight, even by KOA standards. Also they may advertise a certain length, but a good portion of the total length is a pretty steep incline to a short level patch. Any unit of medium to considerable length needed an insane number of blocking materials to get under the leveling jacks to get level. The bathrooms are some of the best we have seen in a KOA. Unfortunately it takes forever to get lukewarm water and then it is only a misting, not a stream of water. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

We are not the target market for KOA parks and typically do not like or stay in them. However, while a bit too expensive for us, this is our second favorite KOA in the U.S. Quiet, nice staff, nice sites for large rigs, they agreed to trim some trees for us, nice dog park and pool area. On the negative side, the roads are dusty, I saw a couple of lose dogs several times and a large group was partying until 2 a.m. and were very noisy. Onsite staff should have stopped it, as many other campers were bothered by it. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

First time here and it seemed to be just fine. The only thing is the sites are slanted uphill and was hard to level. Everyone was very nice. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects KOA discount and weeknight rate. Nice quiet campground. We were in site #3. Sites are level gravel, but very close together. So much so that there was not much room for our tow vehicle. Back in and pull through available. Access roads are gravel, as well. Friendly staff, nice store, well kept pool. Wi-Fi strong. Bathrooms clean and up to date. Only 2 miles from the Interstate and seems to be a popular over night stop for those passing through the area. We would return. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Tent Trailer.
