Jun 2016 - $43.00
Stayed in C loop. Large roomy site, shaded but still got satellite signal. Camp hosts were very friendly, nice quiet place. Road into the park is a little tight, but not that bad. Would definitely camp here again! - bgg
Sep 2015 - $28.00
There are four loops that are available, only one loop is available for those with pets. It appeared some loops were better maintained (restrooms and landscaping, etc) than the other loops. We stayed in C and it looked a little sloppy as the grass was long and not mowed. There is not a separate area for tent campers and during our stay, over 60% of the spots were occupied by tents. The park itself is nice with two lakes, beach area, pool, frisbee golf, boat rentals, hiking trails, etc. - TheRestlessYoungs
Jun 2015 - $32.00
This park has three loops, one of which is for hookups. We stayed in the for hookup site. It was pretty quiet, so, even when the loop was full. The staff was always helpful. We could not get Internet or cell phone service. - Nibot
Aug 2015 - $48.00
This is my second weekend stay here and I will be back. I took advantage of the new "virtual full hook-up" and it worked well. I was able to use a site that did not have sewer, which expanded my possibilities. They do not have a lot of sites with sewer hook-ups, I imagine because the place is built on rock. They come around daily to take gray water and on Sunday to empty both gray and black tanks. This went off without a hitch.
The campground is in the woods. The sites were decent size and gravel. Hook-ups were well-placed. There is no WiFi, but I had no trouble using 3G, and in fact is was as quick as the WiFi in my house for my usual Internet surfing. The site and campground in general were quite clean. It is fairly quiet and relaxing.
The only con was the shower, which is very low flow and makes showering quite lengthy and unenjoyable. Attention campgrounds! It takes a certain amount of water to rinse. You can low flow it or you can low pressure it, you can have faucets that constantly need to be turned back on throughout the shower, but it's still going to take the same amount of water to rinse my hair!!!
I will be returning here. - Driver25
Aug 2015 - $45.00
This CG has the friendliest owners and seasonal campers of any private CG we've ever been to. It's the only private CG we go to. It's a peaceful happy place that we hate to leave. Everyone you see says hi. It's sites are wooded on stone roads it has a small pond for fishing and a large pool staffed with a lifeguard. Ice cream at the store is awesome. There's a couple trails including one that is about 2 miles to St. Peter's where you can play old pinball machines in a retro pinball arcade. - iamcorky
Jun 2015 - $34.00
Warwick Woods is certainly in the woods. The sites are scattered up and down a hill that is in the woods. We had to have a lead car take us to our site in order to find it. The desk clerk gave us hints about the tight turns and trees so we got through without any problems. Fortunately, the site was very level and all the hookups worked just fine.
The campground was very busy on the weekend but there was never any noise or loss of privacy. We were there for six nights so we could see the differences from mid-week to the weekend. - Pennimanman
Sep 2016 - $45.00
A wonderful and meticulously kept RV park. Very large park with sections for seasonal and long time renters. We stayed in one of their red carpet sites which was very spacious, nice level cement pad, included picnic bench and in ground fire ring. Best Wifi reception we have seen in an RV park. Great location within an hours drive to Hershey, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Winterthur estates, Wyeth house and art galleries. Wonderful supermarket Shady Maple just 4 miles away in case you need anything. Also on site RV repair from some of the permanent residents. - LucyS
Aug 2016 - $70.00
This place is a gem in the heart of Amish country. Clean sites, lots to do and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back for a weekend getaway again with the family. - Tippys Leroy Brown
Jul 2016 - $65.00
This was a nice campground for those with kids and looking for activities. They had a large pool with a diving board and a hot tub, lake with boats to be rented, miniature golf, golf carts to be rented (which you almost need to do here as the park is so large), a cafe and an ice cream store. Campground is heavily wooded which made it feel very dark, no hope of satellite, no wifi. Lancaster was about 40 minutes away. Our site was surrounded by bushes, which made us feel cramped, but also provided privacy. Site was level with full hook-up. We don't usually spend this much on a cg, but were meeting other family members. Great for vacation, not necessary for our needs though at that price. Well-kept, friendly service. - dorcol
Jul 2016 - $52.00
We had a very nice time at Sun Valley. We had no issues. Everyone in the office was very nice. Yes, there are a lot of seasonals but all were very nice. If I have to complain about something it is the size of the rocks in the roadways. Definitely tough on the feet while walking but we all managed.
Enjoy your stay and remember "it beats staying home." - grs34
Aug 2014 - $47.00
We've camped here before and have always had a good experience. The staff is very friendly and professional. Mostly seasonals, but everyone we saw waved and said hello. We will definitely be back. - Mike in NJ
Oct 2012 - $60.00
Rate reflects special Halloween weekend rates. They called us ahead of time to preregister and avoid lines at check in which was a great gesture. Entrance is gated. We stayed in 700 section. Sites are gravel, roomy and some leveling may be required. Picnic table and fire rings at each site. Bathrooms a little dated, but clean. Staff friendly, helpful and trusting. Prices for extras, e.g., firewood, visitors, etc. are reasonable, some of the best around. Safe, but liberal visitor policy unlike others in the area. If you enjoy Halloween activities, this is the better place. Great Haunted house followed by haunted hayride and trick or treating for the kids. Would recommend and will return. - JStrohec
Sep 2016 - $55.00
Trashy. Very rude staff, clientele very strange. No freedom to be at your site without management or others interrupting. Smells like sewer, would not recommend at all. Other campgrounds within a mile radius much nicer and much friendlier staff. - JJLJ
Jul 2016 - $55.00
We have stayed at this campground several times before. It is a very well run park. Seasonals and staff are all friendly and all rules are followed. No speeding golf carts and no excessive noise!! This is the first time the weather allowed us to use the pool--it was nice and warm and quite clean. A bit disappointed, though, that on a holiday weekend the water slides were not open. The golf cart parade was a lot of fun as was the selfie scavenger hunt for teens and adults. There are quite a few activities as well as a church service to choose from. The local bakery comes and sells some yummy desserts as wellThere is a nice hunting trail opposite the lake that leads up to "Devil's Den". I recommend checking it out. The sites are clean and nicely spaced out so you are not right next to your neighbor. Most of the sites have quite a bit of shade as well. If you do rent a site and you are in the "D" section, I would suggest renting a golf cart as well as the hill heading down to the pool and store is quite steep. We already have plans to return next year. - autismmom
Apr 2016 - $55.00
Our first trip to Oak Creek, and staying on the N side of the Lancaster area. Upon arrival we were meet by a greeter at the entrance of the park and was qucikly escorted to our site and aided in backing in to the site. Site was located on the creek and was very nice with a great view. Enjoyed the proximity to the playground and the fishing pond to keep an eye on our children. Paved site was a bit off level but manageable. Tree covered spot blocked our satellite however the cable had many channels. Verizon cell service was marginal at best. Campground store had a lot of good stuff and also had a great selection of campground t-shirts including larger sizes. I would recommend Oak Creek. - SJEAGLES609
Oct 2016 - $35.00
This is a difficult campground to review. There are things I really like about it, but their website is also a little misleading and their bathhouse is just terrible.
Start with the good, we were camped in the lower portion of the campground on a water/electric site. The sites are in a great location, well spaced, level, with large trees and a picturesque fishing pond. Water and electric were both in good working order. There is some light and road noise from nearby Rt 100, but it died down in the evening. The downside of the location, and what the map and website don't explain, is that these sites are on a different property, even in a different municipality, and more then ½mile from the bath house and the rest of the campground. There was a port-a-pot there, but you had to drive to take a shower.
The bath house was the other downer. It had nice showers that seemed to be recently renovated, but one of the toilets was clogged all weekend and the whole place smelled due to poor ventilation. There were no mirrors above the sinks, and it finally it was a struggle to work the lock to the ladies room, we could not open it at all the first night we were there.
We never ran into the crazy owner and in fact we only saw one staff member who checked us in when we arrived. She was wonderful, leading us to a site of our choosing and bringing down a large load of firewood which she helped unload.
In all I would return, but only if they resolved the bath house situation. - Cyclonic
Aug 2015 - $35.00
Paved roads, gravel sites. It is on a hill and the sites are terraced. The first spot we were put into was a bit unlevel and we had a hard time trying to get level. We asked to be moved and the camp manager was very pleasant and found a better spot for us. We were here 5 nights, very quiet park for the most part. The rules are strict, but for the betterment of the park and provided a quiet pleasant stay. One neighbor had a noisy dog and when we called the park manager, she told us that a few other campers had also called her and she was on her way to check things out. Problem resolved. We were on the top of the hill and had a beautiful view of the area around us. No pool, playground or other amenities. The laundry facilities that are clean. There is a car race track somewhere in the area, so Saturday evening was a bit noisy. Nothing they can do about that. We will stay here again when in the area. - esta34950
May 2015 - $36.00
We stayed here at the beginning of the season so there were few other occupied sites. We chose to stay in the lower part of the park, off the hill. Had a site with water and electric. The sites on the hill were mostly filled with seasonal/year round occupants. They also had amenities likw sewer that we didn't need. It is an excellent park and I would stay here again if the opportunity arose. - DXRFLYER
Jun 2016 - $65.00
We stayed here spring 2016. As we pulled in and as we got close the office, you could smell sewer. The smell was really bad all weekend. But that was not the only problem. The price was higher then we wanted. Higher rate for family. 51 base rate but extra for older kids. But I realize that adding for adult kids is normal.
Internet was spotty. Kept kicking us off. The RVs/trailers are packed in like sardines. You have campers very close on 3 sides of you. No privacy at all. We really didn't have any grass. We didn't even have a fire ring, not that we had the space to use it. I don't think you could park a car between the campers--they were too close. We couldn't use our awning.
Also, there is many permanent sites. It seemed as if 75 to 85% (could be much higher)are permanent. Just looked and felt like a trailer court. Doesn't feel like you are camping. The bathrooms were not clean and smelled of mold. There was green algae growing on things--not all things but the propane tank and shed were the worst. The office looked OK. And the people seemed nice.
There was a few 'cabins' that from the outside looked good.
We didn't check out the pool. The campground roads were confusing a bit. We will not go back because of the smell, no privacy, high prices and lack of good atmosphere. - KayG
Mar 2016 - $42.00
Owners of this campground are wonderful. I have never seen owners cooking food and doing pedicure's for mothers day. They are aware of everything in their campground and they want to keep people happy. Nicest people you ever want to meet. Our site is great has lots of room. Game room is very nice. Bathrooms are clean. Pool looks very nice can't wait to swim in it. The pavilion is over the top it is so nice closed in all season pavilion has a bathroom and a kitchen. This is the nicest one I have ever seen. Playground is nice. Store is very cute has a lot of cute things in it. People in campground are all so nice. We love it and plan to camp here for a very long time. Lots of fun activities to do. - NIKKI66
Jul 2013 - $41.00
Nice enough campground. Gravel roads and level gravel sites. Cable TV was good. Internet was very spotty. Very friendly people run the park and their guests are friendly, too. Many permanent campers have been left there by owners who come periodically. They are not kept clean which makes the campground seem a little ratty. But it was quiet and peaceful while we were there. - traveling2s
Aug 2016 - $115.00
We were never informed that the cabins were not equipped with linens or towels. We were pleasantly surprised to have Saturday night entertainment of a Rodeo and also a great ice cream store. We found the camp very well maintained and management very helpful in directing us to near by stores. - lois c
Aug 2016 - $55.00
We stayed here while visiting with family. The campground is conveniently located from the 76 Turnpike. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our site was gravel, large, and very clean, with the exception of some cigarette butts left by an earlier camper. We stayed here for nearly two weeks and enjoyed it. Even though there were many seasonal sites, it was always peaceful and serene. Laundry facilities were clean and fairly priced, and the fishing pond had a nice walking trail around it. We would definitely stay here again. - Gina and Bill
May 2015 - $53.00
This campground is more like a trailer park with a lot of permanent residents that have separate rules than the campers do. There is no grass at all and the dust is overwhelming from the cars and trucks driving by. Also there is no activities all week and any activity on the weekend you have to pay additional for. - Family camper rv
Oct 2016 - $44.00
New owners seem to be un experienced crazy getting site, people in office all mixed up not a smooth process. Sites close all open slots, more like tentville, crazy noisy, was not thrilled will not camp here, no wifi, no sewer, no tv. Definitely better campgrounds to go to in Amish country. - Cbh
Sep 2016 - $44.00
This is our 3rd time camping @ Red Run and we really like it here. The creek sites are great, our kids love playing in it. You can fish in the creek or the pond. They have a playground and a basketball net for the kids. The field is a nice place to have a catch with a football or frisbee that the campground provides. We will camp here again. - bcoakley
Aug 2016 - $42.00
This park is very nicely situated in the Amish country around Lancaster, PA. We stopped here to break up a long trip home from the Finger Lakes area of New York. It is quiet, shady and very pleasant. It was a very good choice after a long drive and the pool provided relief from the stifling heat and humidity. The sight of Amish buggies driving through the campground was a treat for my 12-year old nephew. - Hmuse
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Basic no frills campground. Owners very friendly. We have camped here several times, no problems. Easy access to major routes. Sites are level, crushed stone, large enough. WiFi and cable reception good. - dkiefer
Sep 2016 - $45.00
We stayed 3 nights in site 56. The site is on an outside row. It was near perfect level and had a large fire ring of local stone loosely laid.
Our 30 amp, water, sewer, and cable hookups were fine, however, the wifi was not so good, slow as molasses in January.
This campground is mostly stone, meaning, little vegetation, though the entire campground is under a mature canopy of trees, almost all shaded. There's a little playground to the rear of the grounds. The sites are close together in the interior, and there are numerous rather permanent setups. - majorairhead
Sep 2015 - $34.00
The campground has many trees throughout the park. The roads and sites are gravel. Roads are narrow and there are many obstacles (trees) that make backing into a site not easy. The entire CG is on a slope and the sites are not very level; additional leveling blocks are needed. There are many long term/permanent RVs with the usual over landscaping or excessive junk. It is generally quiet with only an occasional plane or faint train horn. Our first stay (3 years ago) was pleasant, this time was different; Labor Day weekend. Friday afternoon the CG filled up with noisy families looking for their end of summer trip. Management did not patrol the CG to monitor the barking dogs, children running around or make any attempt at enforcing the rules. The campsites are fairly large gravel but it still feels crowded. Picnic table, fire ring and typical 20/30/50 electric. Water quality is good but pressure varied from 60 psi to very low. Basic cable channels from Blue Ridge Communications. Internet is free with strong WiFi signal but connections were slow at best and quite often did not work at all. T-Mobile hot spot did not work. The laundry room is in a basement with two tired looking top loaders; went elsewhere. Single stall showers in poor condition, same for the restrooms. The staff is friendly and competent in the office. The CG has organized events; Labor Day pot luck. This is one of the cheaper CGs in the area. - Wiyndog
