Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight as we traveled to eastern PA. The campground is convenient from I81. Entrance is thru a residential neighborhood. The inner roads and sites are fine stone which had basically turned to dust and while there is a 7 1/2 mph speed limit posted within the campground, a number of the seasonal residences ignore the speed rule and kick up lots of dust. The 'overnight' pull-thru sites are actually 14 two back to back sites used as 7 pull-thru sites. We were in site(s) 52 and 32. The utilities were convenient, 50a (119/120 vac), water (50 psi) and multiple sewer connections to choose from. Our site was level side to side but high in the front. The overnight pull-thru sites are not SAT friendly but I was able to pull ABC, CBS, NBC and more OTA channels. WiFi worked well. AT&T Cell phone was 3/4 bars. The Staff was friendly, you are not escorted to your site. This is a large campground, over 200 sites, most are seasonal residence. My ratings for this campground would have been higher if it wasn't for the dusty inner roads. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice place to stay if in the area. They will put two sites together for a pull thru if just stopping for one night as we did. Lots of activities, especially for kids. Sites are fairly level full hook up 30/50 amp gravel. Staff friendly. Good WIFI and local channels (trees). Just too pricey for what you get. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a good spot for us to easily get to Gettysburg and to visit family in Shippensburg. It is well cared for and even though there were many children there it was not very noisy. We would stay here again if we were in the are. Location is close to many services. It is also easy on/off the highway. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a great little find for our one night stopover. The site was perfectly level (we stayed in 34-54 pull through), and it seems we visited on a perfect night. There was a great mix of families and couples of all ages. Karaoke was going on in the park further back, and that was fun to listen to as our family played mini golf on a very fun and challenging little course with lots of fun obstacles that were run by motors. My kids are disappointed that it was just a one night stop. They had hand dipped ice cream in their store, along with lots of other well-stocked items. By the way, it's nestled in at the back of a cute little neighborhood. Hoping to be back some day! We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night on our way home. Check in was quick and easy. Pleasant staff. The site we were given was actually two sites that back up to one another but they had us use it as a pull thru. This made the connections a bit awkward. Large, active family park with plenty for the kids to do and good location to explore the area. Interior roads good. Had to disconnect to level front to back. Nice clean restrooms. Wi-Fi and Verizon worked well. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park where we stayed for 4 days. We plan to come back again later during the summer to explore Gettysburg. We had all 4 features that we consider important in a campground listed in order of importance: good free Wi-Fi, satellite coverage, 50 amps, and a level site (178). The Wi-Fi was excellent most of the time. To our delight there a Giant supermarket nearby. Giant is where we do all our grocery shopping at home near Annapolis, MD. The Giant here is better than ours at home. Since we had everything we want in a campground, I have no reason to give a less than 10 rating. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Charming campground located at the back of a neighborhood in Carlisle, PA. Website said they had a two night minimum but they were most accommodating during a one-night stay while awaiting service for a mechanical issue. Also concerned about campers welfare at check-in during a severe weather event - gave us instructions for nearest safe building and loudspeaker announced a timely tornado warning. Never happened but appreciate the diligence. Full service hook-up was as advertised-20,30,50 amp. OTA TV stations available. WIFI was good. Site was level but was varied throughout the park. This is a big wooded campground with about 30% seasonal/permanent residents in very nice sites. Nice extras included: pool, mini-golf, jumping pillow and hand dipped Hershey's Ice Cream - YUM! We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

OK for a stop on way, but site was way too small - narrow and short. Very full due to holiday weekend, so seemed crowded. Some nice green areas. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Close to Interstate. Given a double site at the front, for overnight stay. Site good but would hate to see it used as 2 sites, would be VERY close. Staff friendly and good store. Wifi very good at this site. Only complaint is the cost... We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed just one night. Reception was just ok...not real friendly and cheerful. We were able to get propane right away so we were happy about that. The park itself is clean, but older and really not made for big rigs...there are many trees! Very tight turns and the sites are VERY close together...too close for our taste. For the price, we should have gotten cable...not available. We prefer wifi and cable while on the road. We might stay again as it is ok for one night only. Convenient stop for our trip down to Myrtle Beach. In this location we don't have much of a choice!! We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had a pull thru, it was fairly level, and clean. The staff was great. The roads are wide enough, lots of trees. I'd stay again, but it's a little pricey at $44.

The pull thru's were a bit close together, but I think this was the overnight area. The rest of the park was spaced out better. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An older "Western Themed" campground. Stayed here for an overnight, so didn't use the facilities available. Only hooked up electric which worked well. Made reservation 3 hours out. Check in went fairly smooth. Staff wasn't the most friendly, nor were they rude. Park has Wi-Fi that works quite well in the evening and early morning. Access is "different". Not far from the exit on I-81, but you drive through a residential neighborhood to get to the campground. Interior road are a little tight, but I did not observe anyone having a problem navigating them. We would stay her again if it was on the way, but I wouldn't plan my trip around this park. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camped in a 35 foot fifth wheel on back-in site 182. Required one board to level. Site is very close to neighbors, as are most, with narrow grass patch between sites. Site is long with room for truck. There is a large tree on both sides of entrance to site-be mindful of limbs when backing in. Some shade at drive entrance. Sewer & water are in rear of site & rather far from mid rig hook ups. Behind site is large grass field with pool, laundry & shower house close by. Lanes are well graveled & easy to travel. AT&T cell coverage is good. Over the air TV with about 10 stations. Bath house & laundry are clean. Pool was closed for season. Miniature golf, rec room with arcade games & billiard table, bounce pad, paved basket ball court, volley ball field, tether ball, playground. Fellow campers complained of Interstate noise, but it is distant. Park is pretty with lots of grass & trees. Quiet & dark at night. Staff is pleasant. Low rating due to narrow site. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here many times as it is so very handy from the highway and a good distance between destinations. Park is very nice with lots of trees. The sites are a little tight but ok. Very clean and pet friendly. Nice store. Our biggest complaint is the price which is $47.00 per night in October. We paid much less at a 5 star park further south. Overall though we swallow our pride and pay the price as the park fits our needs in every other way. Nice pool too and fun activities in summer. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
