Overall Rating:

This campground has a new owner as of a few years ago. Many campground structures have been updated recently. We saw a lot of new signs, fences, buildings, etc. The campground has wifi that is slow, occasionally we were able to stream on a Roku TV. Occasionally we were not even able to get a website on our iPhones. The campsite we had backed right up the the creek which was great for views and relaxing outside. On the other side of the campground, less than 100 yards away, was the trail to the rail-to-trail. Beautiful old railroad bridges to walk across to the left and right of the campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really good general store within walking distance in Cedar Run. 45 minute drive to the PA Grand Canyon overlook. Definitely a must see. No cell phone reception was a definite bonus, but my wife needed to stay in touch with the outside world so we paid $12 for 3 days of wifi. Sites were tight, but I have been in tighter campgrounds. We camped at Pettecote Junction in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely call the campground for directions. GPS will most likely take you on roads and bridges that are too tight for RVs.

Bathrooms are mold ridden and disgusting. Our electricity was shorting out, had zero water pressure, and you would think that the owners would like to know! WRONG!! caboose was never opened as it said. Then treated us like we were an annoyance instead of customers. Acted as if it was our fault this was happening. And the entire parks grey water system dumps straight into the ground. We camped at Pettecote Junction in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff were seldom in their 'office' which is not handicap accessible. They were rude to my 70 year old father when he asked if someone could transport his firewood to his site they said 'we don't charge enough to do that'. More than one camper said that over the years electric surges damaged electric boards in their RV's and we experienced the electric cut off more than once. Don't let the fancy website fool you and pass them up for just about anything else in the area. We camped at Pettecote Junction in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Very nicely maintained. Daily sites have good water views. Road to campground from north or east is not advisable. Come in from the south on rt 414. Grand canyon of PA. Pine Grove Rail trail on one side of campground, Pine Grove Creek on the other. Approximately 50-60 minutes from Leonard Harrison State Park near Wellsboro, PA. We camped at Pettecote Junction in a Travel Trailer.

The sites were not level. The electricity shut off several times. This park needs to be updated. No WiFi, No cable, No sewer and poor 30 amp service. I don't think I will ever go back. We camped at Pettecote Junction in a Motorhome.
