Choices for campgrounds in this area are few. Needed a place for one night and this fit the bill. Campground is a bit of a drive from the highway thru town. Check in at the office, which is near the house and barn, was easy and the man at the desk friendly. Our site was in an open grass field that looked liked it was used more for rallies. Utilities at this site were on the wrong side which made for a awkward parking position. There are sites along the river that have trees and are more like a campground. Lots of families and kids having fun in that section. Restrooms and showers are basic and could have been cleaner. Okay place for a night stay. As I said before choices in this area are few. Would probably continue on or stop earlier somewhere else next time. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful retreat from busy city RV parks. More like a state campground than an independent, which is far better. Plenty of space between sites. Privacy guaranteed. Not sure why the one person complained about WiFi; if you're camping, that should not be a priority, and if that's what prevents you from returning to the park, you should probably just stay home; why travel out of your "comfort zone"? We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Motorhome.

We only spent one night here and it was a long way from the highway--through the town of Chambersburg--not easy to get to! The owner was very accommodating and gave us our pick of pull through sites on a large treeless grassy field. (No sewer; 30 amp.) There was a creek and wooded area near our site. The wifi was awful and there was no cable TV. I doubt we'd return. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Very neat and well maintained. It is an events site. When you call, they say you do not need reservations other than for special events. We pulled in with no notice and they had lots of level spaces for our RV on a well mowed grassy field with choices of 50A or 30A sites with good water and it seems no Sewer hookups. Friendly manager. A great overnight stop just a few miles off the Interstate. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at Twin Bridge Campground over Memorial Day Weekend. This was the only campground with a site available at the last minute, and that was only because of a cancellation. If you look at the pictures it looks crowded; however, we stayed at site #48 which was on the creek and there was a decent amount of space between sites. The dogs loved playing in the creek. There was a nice "service" on Sunday with Gospel singers. It was nearby some great state parks. There was a bridge on route 30 we had to pass under which didn't allow much space, so if your RV is large you might want to find another way. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. This was a cute little campground. They have upgraded to some 50 amp sites out in the field. There were no real amenities but but was a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay. There are some seasonal people there and my kids quickly made friends and had a good time with their kids. The people there were very friendly and invited us over to watch a movie on the big screen that they had set up. There is a creek there that the kids play in. The only downs are no sewer hook up but they do have a dump station and the nicer sites only have 30 amp service. We would go there again as it is a nice and low cost campground not too far from home. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The extras may not all be there, but the location and the cleanliness, and the friendly atmosphere more than make up for the lack of wifi or a swimming pool. We had a most pleasant stay! We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed two different times in the past two years. We have relatives in Chambersburg, and this is the closest campground around. Management is friendly, and flexible. Sites are large, grassy, clean and mostly shaded, although, some are sunny if you prefer. We stayed for two days, so sewage was not a problem, although they have a dump station available at no charge, when leaving, which we used. Negatives if any: the entire campground sits low, so when it rains severely, takes longer to drain water. Would stay again. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful setting among the dairy farms really captures the spirit of the Cumberland Valley. Great back roads for biking or jogging. Short drive to good shopping. Well-mowed grassy creekside sites. Nice people operating it. Needs some modernization in a few areas and attitudes: Doesn't accept credit cards yet (told that may happen soon), charge for more than one dump per stay, bath houses need modernization, water was silty after a hard rain, no wifi (I work while traveling). With a few basic updates this campground could be a 3 or 4-star jewel. Until then I can only give it 2 stars. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

One of the most unusual campgrounds I’ve ever stayed in. I was here for 14 days due to visit with son and family. The place is a large typical Pennsylvania operating farm – barn, cows, tractors, etc. Scattered around the farm is the campground, some here, some there, some way over there. Long terms in one area, weekenders in another, storage in another. A large portion of the sites are in a fairly flat open field but be careful – electric is strung from pole to pole and some wires are hanging low. Water pressure is very low and sometimes non-existent. 30 amp only, extra charge for AC and NO SEWAGE. The roads leading here from major roads are typical Pennsylvania county roads, NARROW, UP, DOWN, CURVE – NO straight sections. Be careful of overhanging branches and trees sitting right along the edge of road. It is quiet and dark enough at night to do a lot of star gazing. The owner(?) seems friendly enough but spends most of his time mowing and running the farm. NO store and not very much nearby. A creek runs through the grounds and some folks are fishing. This would be a great place for a family with a little camper who want to spend the weekend in the country with the kids. I will not be back. We camped at Twin Bridge Meadow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
