As others have said the roads around this campground are very steep and you have to travel very carefully. The roads in the campground are also in tough shape and in need of repair. Our site was pretty level and had a view of the river. No one around us so we had plenty of space and were surrounded by grass. Service was very good.
The campground is also quite large and had all KOA type services. Seemed like there were quite a few full time campers as well.
Trains at all times of the day which did not bother us as we are used to them by now. We would stay again. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground to stay for a few days. Good FHU in pull though areas. Water and Electric well placed. Sites level. Very good Wifi, I measured 5.5 Mbps. Verizon signal mostly unusable (campground is in a valley). Our pull though was large enough for our 36' motorhome and toad. Surface gravel. Fire ring and table. Staff were very nice and courteous. Propane is across from the office. Many washers and driers for use. The campground is on a river across from a railroad track, but did not find the noise a problem. Satellite reception good in D and T pull throughs, if you are along the river probably will not work. Bike/walking trail goes though the campground. There is a camp store, but we were here the last weekend, and it was mostly empty. Many full time sites, but well kept. There is a gate to get in, just a, post not high enough for Class A, have to get out and buzz the office in order to get in to register. The road in is steep, stay in 1st and will still need to brake. Campground roads are narrow, but easy enough to navigate in our class A. Would defiantly stay here again. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed camping right on the river. Site was reasonably level (a bit over one degree off front-to-back and left-to-right). Cable worked fine, and wifi was great, with typical speeds near 10 Mbs while we were there. Very nice biking/walking trail goes right through the campground. Trains are frequent, but no horns by the campground and they didn't bother us. The road in was twisty, narrow and very steep (1st gear and brakes required with our 17,000 lb. fifth-wheel). We used this KOA as a base to visit Fallingwater (about 30 minutes away) and enjoyed the riverfront location and great trail. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground has been improved over time however at least 2/3 of the total sites are leased to seasonals and there is a very evident clique feeling about the place from some of these seasonal individuals. The lower section appears to be occupied by transient workers who are in the area for the Marcellus shale gas plant, lots of loud diesel trucks with welders coming and going at all hours. How often does a train go by across the river? So often you'll never even notice! We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

The last day of our stay we pulled out of our spot at check out time, noon, but they wouldn't let us use any of the facilities after check out time, unless we paid for another day, which was $58. Completely unaccommodating!

Also, trains come through about every 30 minutes all day and night. Very loud, and kept us awake. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This is our first visit to this park since 2010, before it was a KOA. The owners have done a wonderful job improving the campground. The sites are close to level and some back up right to the Yough river. (Nice for fishing in the morning.) The services along the river sites appear to all have been redone and have lights in the pedestals (nice feature). Some of the sites are a bit close, but that is to be expected from a KOA. The camp store was a bit sparse given it's size, but it is the beginning of the season. The roads in the campground are narrow and a bit tight, but not the worst I've seen. The CSX rail line is across the river, so if you like train noise, good, if not, bring earplugs for night. Overall, very nice campground and I would return here. We camp here at least once a year because it is nearby. This was our first camping trip of the year. The kids enjoy the playing in the river and fishing. We stay on the premium sites when available. They're located right on the water. There is a nice bike trail as well that goes past the historical coke ovens and the planned activities for kids are really nice. When we were there this time they made nature bookmarks with the items they found on their walk. Another popular spot is the pool. It is well kept and clean. I would recommend this campground for a nice get-away! We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

First time here as we are traveling North from Washington DC area to Pittsburgh. First time stays in RV parks/campgrounds are always a bit apprehensive, but arrival here was great as website pictures, notes, amenities were as shown/advertised. Love when that happens. We like design of park, including roads are very negotiable, staff are helpful, deli with pizza/bread sticks, & ice cream cones, also is a gift store, RV supplies section, game room (in separate bldg.), showers, restrooms, laundry, and pool area all very well laid out, plus a good path around the park in which to walk. The owner/managers know their clientele and it shows in many large and small ways. Given the opportunity will stay here again. This location is also near some historical National Parks if one wants to explore the U.S. History ... as have not been in this part of the country, not sure what else is nearby.

This was a halfway point going to and coming from Gettysburg. Making reservations, I had to stay 2 nights each way for some reason, but that was OK. I've camped for 50 years all over and this is a decent KOA. Close to a river camping, out of the way area, no highways, clean, friendly people, rental for kayaks, tubes for river, nice store and deli for pizza and hand dipped icecream. Small access roads to it, barely room for two rigs to get by each other, very active railroad tracks just across the river, but no whistles. Both my sites were more hard earth than gravel, my slide out stuck the first time after a rain. Sites are fair, somewhat close to neighbor, little shade at sites, truck rim fire pits. My first site had a 60 degree elbow for the sewer hook up, so I had to modify a spare hose and get a second person to help dump. Not so bad but leaves an impression. A lot of permanent sites. I guess it is very popular locally. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here back in 2012 and rated the park a '6'. It was under new ownership at the time. What a difference 2 years made for this campground! Although sites are still tight, many new amenities were added and the place is very nice. New bath houses, new patio sites, lots of activities and the staff is super friendly. Looks like another expansion going on across the bike path. The new owners obviously know what the campers are looking for and seem to be providing it. Our site had cable, decent Wi-Fi, and the hookups were where they needed to be. Could use a few shade trees for the playground and sandbox. The equipment gets so hot in the full sun. We look forward to returning now. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

We paid by the month $450 plus electric. Loved this campground! Wi-Fi was strong, our spot was level and spacious. Nice playground, basketball court, horse shoes, game room and huge sandbox. Canoes and kayaks for rent. Activities on the weekends for the kids. Small cafe and store. Propane refill on site, leave bottle in front of your camper and they will fill it up and bring it back. Garbage pickup, just leave it at front of your camper. We became friends with 2 of the park attendants, who are awesome people and spoiled our son. I would have gave this campground a 10 but there were holes in the roads but not bad ones. We would definitely stay here again!! Decent size store and snack bar area. Also has a nice pool area that is very clean. Small fee to use Wi-Fi. Sites are small and close together. Would not go back due to too many blasting stereos, barking dogs, and visibly intoxicated individuals. Very active set of rail road tracks a stone's throw from this campground. Also, no restrictions on breed of dogs permitted. A pit bull attacked another dog while we were here. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Did a one night stay during the week to see what the campground was like after a friend told us about it. They are usually very busy during the weekends. Grounds were clean and sites were fairly level but very cramped. We stayed in a riverfront site which had a nice view of the water but it is a drop-off to the water's edge. You need to keep an eye on any little ones. There seems to be a lot of permanent sites, including an area where the workers doing some drilling in the are are staying. They rent canoes and inner tubes for floating down the river but not after 3pm. Since check-in is after 2pm, you really cannot take advantage unless you are staying several nights. Bike trail runs right next to campground and is very nice. Bathrooms were fairly clean and showers are separate. There is only 1 bath house and it is a fairly long walk from the 'premium' river sites to get to. They need another bath house for sure. Staff was very friendly. No cable, no Wi-Fi, poor reception on TV antenna (you are in a valley). Pool was clean and well maintained. There are train tracks across the river that are very active. I think we heard a train run up or down the hill at least every other hour, including all night. Not the fault of the campground but I don't know how anyone in a tent could sleep. Noticed some open alcohol consumption near our site and one group across the field that was a little loud after hours. Our sewer connection was 20' forward of where it normally would be in a back-in site. Had to hook-up and pull forward to get within 15' to dump. The road in and out is narrow and winding. Had to pull into the grass on the way in so other campers could pass on their way out. If the sites were larger, they added a few more amenities like cable and another bath house, this could be a great campground. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is a great place to do a short weekend trip. The sites along the river are great. They have a lot of activities for the kids. All the bathrooms and showers have been updated. The Yough Bike trail run throw the campgrounds. The scavenger hunt was a big hit with my kids. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall a nice park with lots of activities in area. Park is clean, bathrooms and showers are nice. The waterfront sites are nice but very tight. The sites are small and pricey. Nightly charge was $50 plus $14 for my two twenty year old sons, very expensive for a small site with campers packed in on top of one another. Could use second bathhouse at other end of campground far walk if your down that end. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's right on Great Passage bike trail which was great. My only complaint was the high cost and size of sites. As others have said, road in is steep and winding, check your brakes before you embark. I plan on returning but during week, less expensive and hopefully not as packed in. We camped at Uniontown KOA (formerly Rivers Edge Campground) in a Tent Trailer.
