We went to this campground for a TOUR before becoming a seasonal ($2800.00 asking way to much $ for what it is) WOW! this place is run down. Bath houses dirty and falling apart. Lots of old and/or abandoned RV's. Grass area tall and over grown. Game room building/floor has a bad slant. playground was dated. Didn't bother looking at the pool. This is a large property and COULD be a amazing place if it was brought up to date and the grounds were taken care of. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Not a "family" campground. The bathhouse was horrendous, filthy the whole weekend we were there. The showers were barely operational. Most bathroom stalls were out of order and only two showers "worked". Water sprayed out of the spicket in all directions. Don't claim to have amenities when it's obvious you do nothing to maintain them. There were no "quiet" hours. Music and partying lasted well after midnight. There were also folks openly drunk in public places and drug use was obvious by some campers. Nothing I wanted my children around. If you have young children, hope they can sleep through anything if you want any type of rest in a tent. Broken down, dilapidated trailers were everywhere. Scenic views did not exist and it was far from being camping where you hope to be surrounded by nature views and sounds. This was by far the worst campground we've stayed at in our many years of camping. Also if you are in a tent, beware, my husband is covered in some type of rash from the "fauna" surrounding our tent site. Beware of the good reviews. It's obvious these are from their "seasonal" campers....aka folks in RVs. These folks do not use the bathroom facilities or tent sites, so they give a false impression on the state of the campground.

DON'T BE FOOLED!!!! This is not a family campground, but if you wish to party this is your spot, because management won't do anything to stop you! We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Tent.

I would NOT recommend this place for anyone camping with families. Broken down trailers litter the landscape. Roads are in a poor state of repair. Electric 30 amp service was not available when checked in & electric lines were run above ground from site to site just to hook us up. Maintenance man ran over sewer caps when mowing grass so sewer connections were NOT capped. They added a new elbow after a complaint, but didn't secure it to pipe. So gray/black water leaked onto ground where the above ground 30 amp electric lines were! I told the staff about it but they just shrugged & said 'OK'. Never fixed it. When I asked why wasn't any of this done BEFORE we arrived, they said "Memorial day just kinda snuck up on us this year". Really??? Second the staff. Rules are non-existent at this campground. Everyone speeds from cars to golf carts & even though one seasonal put up a sign to remind everyone of the speed limit, no one cared & the seasonals are the worst offenders. Dogs friendly is one thing but to allow campers' dogs to run free is just a hazard. Yes, everyone thinks their dog is OK, but incidents happen. And just from a liability standpoint, the leash rule should be enforced. Oh, & people who don't leash their dogs, also don't pick up their poop either. Drinking & camping has always gone together, but at family campgrounds, people drink only at their campsites. This place, drinking & driving golf carts is a sport. Now the kicker, there is a 'weed' dealer living as a seasonal on top of the hill. He advertises right at his campsite with his web address posted on his car. Not only do seasonals drive to his site & buy, but outside customers also come into campground. This is well known to the staff & all seasonals. Overall, if you are looking to party & don't care about living conditions then this is for you. But if you family camp with children, this is NOT the place. Someone will get hurt here. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed for a month....so I could not enter the rate properly. However.....500.00 from mid sept to mid oct. That included electric.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This is not a fancy resort but a simple down to earth campground. They are fixing up different areas continuosly. In fact they are hoping to have at least one of two planned dog parks operational. I will most certainly be returning next year....looking forward to it.

Also...some beautiful trails in the area. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a hard review to make. While our site and hookups were excellent, and the grass and weeds in our area was neatly cut, The area by the store and game room was very overgrown. From our arrival...we checked in, they gave us a paper with our site # and map. There were 2 site numbers crossed out on the paper, and the 3rd didn't match the # on the map. We were with friends and requested sites close to them. Shouldn't be a problem, the RV sites don't fill up. Went to our site, we were 4 sites from our friends. Plenty of open spots. Called the office and asked if we can move to ff11. No problem. Figured out how to level and the site had perfect afternoon shade thanx to 2 trees. Most sites in this section have sun all day. Friday night, someone was partying till at least 4am, including chopping wood throughout the night. My wife asked about it Saturday, and she was told yea, they were up till 5am. You knew and didn't do anything? It was a Holiday weekend so the tent sites and cabins were full. The staff allows drinking anywhere. In the gameroom, there was a bottle of whiskey being passed around the pool table. On the fire truck ride, a whole group came on bringing bottles, and there was even a guy hanging of the back who looked like he had no idea where he was. Pool was too crowded for comfort. Weeds and trash around the office was terrible. Game room and office had switches and receptacles hanging out of the wall. For the good points....lots of activities, staff was friendly, and the fireworks display was impressive for this campground. Store had the basics. Sites in the field section are huge. They could use more stone but they aren't bad. Would we camp here again? Probably not. ATT data and phone worked great. No wifi available anywhere in the campground. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Motorhome.

It's The Poconos, and knowing the area, I would head out and explore the area. Plenty of things to do, unless you like sitting at your RV all day.

OK, I will admit, this isn't the best looking campground around. But the people are very friendly and the owners and the seasonal residents are working on improving things a little bit each year. We have been coming here for 6 years, with others in our group for 9 years. The group gets the sunrise retreat cabins. These are actually trailers. They aren't the cleanest things around, but you're camping, do you expect it to look like the Marriott? The price is right though, and it includes a bathroom, two separate bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with a bunk bed, and a kitchen/living room combo with a futon, a full size fridge and an apartment sized oven. The cabins are arranged in a circle around a big field, and when we book all the cabins we get the field for free. We use this to sit around the campfire together, to cook and serve food, and to play volleyball, football and soccer. It is a very large area. We actually camped on a water/electric site this year with our popup, and it was a nice large and level site with a picnic table and fire ring across from the field. The roads are gravel, but we made it up them fine. The employees go out of their way to accommodate our group, bringing us folding tables to use, and even taking our whole group on a private fire truck ride around the campground. There are a lot of seasonals and some are run down, but this is slowly improving. Also, they redid the bathrooms a couple years ago and now they are kept clean. The pool can sometimes be dirty and I wish this would improve. There are multiple playgrounds and the kids in our group enjoy playing on them. Overall, we've had many great experiences here. It is by no means the best campground out there, but I will be back, hopefully for many years to come. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This campground is the worst one I've been to. Everything was overgrown and rundown looking. The management wasn't very friendly. The roof was falling off the office building. The bathrooms were never cleaned the whole weekend. People in the campground were very noisy, very late at night. No activities scheduled. Playground was falling apart. A lot of permanent sites that look like nobody has been to in years. A few of the permanent sites had a very foul odor coming from them. Would never camp here again. We wanted to go to a local campground to try out our new TT. For some reason someone in our group of 4 travel units picked this place. We all agreed we would never be back. Our sites were located in the first section (just right of the entrance). All gravel sites -- all only 8 ft wide. Most were covered with weeds & grass had not been cut in 3-4 weeks. Several sites had poison ivy right at the water hook up. We did drive around and check the rest of the CG out. Mostly permanents - not even seasonals. All interior roads are in desperate need of repair -- full of bumps and gullies - barely passable in a truck, let alone pulling a 5th wheel or TT. LOTS of run down trailers in the CG -- some looked like they had not seen use in 10 years. Full of leaves, garbage, furniture tossed about the insides, etc. Rental units old and not maintained. Huge junkyard of trailers within site of interior roads. Dumpsters were jam packed and garbage was laying all over the ground - don't think they had pick-up within 2 months. Store had lots of stuff in it but not the basics - they did not have tea or sugar. Minigolf course was not maintained and unplayable. No activities. The pool was clean and there were a few people in it. I did not venture into the bathrooms. Overall I would say that this is the worst of campgrounds. Would ABSOLUTELY encourage everyone to find another campground. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We rented one of their trailers. It was falling apart, dirty and full of bugs. I had to have them come clean it again and I still used a whole jar of lysol. I could not bring any food in because black ants were everywhere. The water was very smelly. The toilets didn't work well and we had to clean up overflows and when we called them they just gave us a plunger. We wanted our money back because the whole place is so run down with trailers just left to rot away. They advertise a canopy in the pool area and it is a tarp thrown over metal poles. The pool could have used a coat of paint. The owners are very nasty. I would never go back and would not recommend it to anyone. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here only because they did not require a week stay. The site we were assigned was so out of level we could not get our rig level. They were accommodating in that we could move around till we found one that worked for us. They had considerable empty sites! We wound up backed up to the road, very noisy traffic. Across from our site was an area that apparently had many stationary units in the past and was in the process (maybe) of being reclaimed for regular sites. We did take their 'hay ride' through the grounds, It is a very large place, but there are too many people that have made this their home. I honestly believe that some people have no where else. We will not return We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Not a good place to camp. Very outdated and the bathrooms smelled like sewer. Not very camper friendly and lots of outdated campers hanging around. I would NOT travel here again but you never know until you try. We left on sunday morning and no one was at the store to drop off our credit card for the gate so we left it with a lady sitting on the porch reading the newspaper it looked like she was a permanent one funny thing is she had 4 other credit cards for the others that left in a hurry too. When we finally reached this campground after several miles on a long, narrow road we found we could not make the turn in to the driveway without backing out into the street and then driving over their landscaped area. The person in charge (the only person there) was a snotty 15 year old boy who was apparently capable of speaking only in one syllable words. We requested a water & electric only site as we were only staying one night and were assigned a site that turned out to be in an area of seasonals with horrid, filthy, old campers. The interior roads were narrow, steep and deeply rutted. I could not avoid scraping the side of my RV on tree branches. The site was impossibly small for our 38 ft fifth wheel even if I had considered staying there. When I returned to the desk to get another site, the 15 year old boy was surly and rude. ?I just gave you what you wanted? was his response. He offered us a site with full hookups for an additional $5 in a flat, treeless, muddy field. Rather than get another site I got a refund and left. This place obviously does not want your business. We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited this campground in Sept. We rented one of their cabins for the weekend. When we arrived they had already closed for day, when I made my reservations I told them We would arrive around 6 she said thats fine they close at 6 since it was after Labor day. As we pulled up after driving 2 1/2 hrs, no one there. Had to knock on the trailer at the end and ask if he knew a number. Finally we got let in. After registering we went to our cabin. Walked in and Wow, How Dirty was the floor. Looked like we were wearing shoes all weekend. That should have been my first indication this wasn't going to be very good. Next morning went to take showers. No water pressure at ALL!! Just TRICKLING water. My daughter said what a chore taking a shower. The Bathroom was not clean at all, faucets very dirty and toilets were awful. The campground not kept up at all. A lot of old trailers setting around and old cars with flats. The people who are supposed to take care of campground just sitting around all day. Not very friendly. When talking to a lady next to our cabin she said she camps a lot in the summer, like us, and said this was by far the WORST campground she has ever been to. I have to agree. I was very disappointed. I have never been to a campground like this. The showers were enough to kill the whole weekend. Would not recommend this campground ever. I had sent them a email when I got home but no reply. I have to do something about this campground so I thought I would come here to vent. I spent over $200 for that weekend trip for 6 of us! We camped at Foxwood Family Campground in a Campground Cabins.

Campground is not in fantastic condition although the showers and bathrooms were clean. The store is well stocked. Most of the rental sites are all in the wide open areas, not much shade. There are a lot of old run down seasonal units. Most should just be knocked down. The people are pleasant and helpful, but they need to put a lot more effort into sprucing up the place. It is in a beautiful part of the state with a lot to do in the area so it could be a great destination in the future. The fishing pond was covered with water grass. There was also a sewer line back-up about 2 sites away from us over the Memorial Day weekend. We will not be back until some future positive reviews are posted.
