We camped on Father's Day weekend. The campground was in a hilly setting, keep in mind it's called Mountain Vista. Staff was very friendly. Store was well stocked. Plenty of activities for kids. Pool was nice but on the small side. Our campsite was very wooded, set into the side of a hill but is was pretty level. The roads in the campground were pretty easy to navigate but they were steep in spots. We were escorted to our site by a staff member. One negative was the entrance to the campground, the parking area outside of the office was narrow and on a steep hill. Our site had full hookups, the water pressure though was a bit low. Our site was a bit narrow but my wife and I liked it quite a bit. I fished in the pond that's across the street from campground. The fishing was a little slow but there are some big bass in there. All in all a really good trip. We will definitely be going back. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain setting is nice but it can make parking and leveling your RV a challenge. Staff friendly, helpful and handled the holiday weekend well. Park is well maintained and clean. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We were there to spend time with family from Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and were there for 7 days. The campground was quiet during the week which was very nice. The campground staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is my second season at Mt Vista. I came in May this year and left in October. I love this park. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Even on busiest weekends the nights are quiet. My site was big enough and had bushes on either side so my views were of trees not another camper. Wi-Fi always good.Water pressure excellent. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here in August for a long weekend. Staff was awesome due to my hubs being in an accident. They were very accommodating in helping me find my way around to purchase supplies. Sites are large and it is very quiet at night. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sites were clean and well landscaped. Has a nice unbothered earth look. Bring cash they don't take card. There is an ATM on site for a fee though. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an absolutely beautiful location but I would not stay here again. The drive into the park and the registration parking was on a very dangerous hill, not good if you don't have very good brakes. The site was again in a beautiful location but it was very unlevel. I have an automatic leveling system and it would not level the RV. I had to use it in the manual mode and still didn't get it right but acceptable for one night. The price, given the time of the year, was ridiculous. The hookups were not well placed, I had to move way forward to even think about hooking up to electricity. The water pressure was so low, I think if I had used a pressure regulator, it would have helped not hindered. I would have hated to have been here in the height of their season; there would have been no water. The road around the sites was very tight, if someone with little to no experience with tight places would have ruined their RV. The site was dirt with a little stone thrown in for the tourists. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A clean, well-maintained park in a hilly area. Slight slope to most sites but easy to level. Good hookups, sewer old style non-threaded requiring rubber doughnut. Good cable, local channels plus NY and Philly sports teams. Gravel roads but not dusty. Lots of activities for kids, including fishing pond and panning for "gold". Moderate sized very clean pool. Small store with basics, bread/milk etc. Easy check in, friendly staff. Nature/fitness trail a plus. Only saw one other couple besides us without at least one dog. The RV across from us had five dogs in an outside pen, but the owners were attentive to quieting them when necessary. During the day we could almost always hear barking from one location or another in the park, but it was just background noise and not a deal breaker. CG is extremely quiet at night and we were there over a weekend. Heavy rain did not stop numerous campfire lovers from trying to burn wet wood. Enough smoke that we closed our windows and went with air conditioning the second night. A decent breeze and dry weather would have eliminated the issue. Overall this was a pleasant camping experience and we would certainly return. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Motorhome.

Shaded park with tight spaces. Lots of trees which makes maneuvering through campground tricky. Like most northern campground we've been to, it's pack em and stack em. The better sites have long stay campers. Sites are not level. Could be a nicer park if they got rid of every other site. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a mountain campground with Level sites terraced in the mountain side. The sites are pea gravel under the rig with some grass and pea gravel on the remainder of the site. Road ways are gravel. There is plenty of natural vegetation between sites to offer some privacy without being jungle like. Lovely pool and plenty of activities for kids but quiet enough for adults. The owners are super nice and helpful. The only negative I found was the laundry room which was dusty and full of dead bugs. I took my own cleaning towels to wipe it down and all was OK after that. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice family campground in the Poconos. Friendly staff and owner is on site. Roads are gravel and a bit tight in some spots for a big rig, but certainly manageable if you take your time. They have lots of things to do and everything is kept clean. Water, sewer, electric, and cable all worked well. WiFi was usable and good Verizon 4G. Sites are mostly level with a slight grade. Plenty of trees. Nice place for a couple nights or a week. Give it a try! We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Heavily wooded park near Stroudsburg. Nice owners, decent sized lots, relatively level, and large pool. Nice games and free equipment (kids really liked playing ping-pong, tennis, also had a number of other games including giant connect 4...). Small pond for fishing, although we had no luck :-( . Scavenger hunt, bingo. Stayed there on Labor Day weekend - which even though it was very busy it was relatively quiet. Lots were crushed stone (no grass due to wooded area). Be aware that it is hilly - small children may have difficulty riding bikes. Why not higher rating? I base a point down for some of the following, which get higher marks on my other reviews. Unpaved roads (crushed stone), bathrooms not modern, bathrooms not particularly clean (checked a few times - including after their cleaning time), water pressure was very low at times - barely a trickle during morning of last day, seasonals not particularly well kept/landscaped, firewood purchased there was wet. Bottom line is we had a nice time, and would go back again. However even a 7 is a little high (since we liked the owners...) when compared with other places we have stayed. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice campground with lots of shade trees and very woody setting. Sites were nice size; cable TV very clear with good channel selection; wifi was very good on clear days, but unusable on rainy days. Grounds are very close to beautiful hiking in Delaware Water Gap Park. Cons: heavy automobile traffic through campground on weekend from permanent residents. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful place with shady level sites carved in the side of a mountain. Utilities worked great for us, 50 amp was clean. Only stayed two nights as I'm traveling through. Will stop again. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Motorhome.
