We chose this park for the Passport America discount and proximity to a couple of day trips we wanted to take. Check-in was easy and quick; we were escorted to our site. All sites and roads are gravel. Our site (P2) was quite level, mostly shaded and close to the bathhouse. Two showers and several stalls in each. Bathhouse is quite tired and could use updating. This park offers a pool and laundry, but we didn't use either. Our pull-through site did not have sewer but there is a honey wagon available (+$2 per day), which we declined. There is a dump station near the entrance. There are a large number of seasonal campers here; most of these units were in fair to good condition. Free wifi worked well, AT&T cell coverage was strong, a number of TV channels available on the antenna. Elverson is a small town but there is good shopping 10-12 miles away. Overall, the park could use some updating to earn the regular rate they charge. P.A. discount made this a reasonable stay. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We saw another review that recommended taking the train into Philadelphia. We did this - drove to Exton Station (35 minutes) and took a 30 minute ($20 r/t each person) ride to 30th Street station. This worked out really well and was a nice day trip.

This is a very nice campground. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Upon booking I was told that I should make sure that I had at least 50 feet of fresh water hose because the hook up was a good distance from the campsite where we were booked. Upon arrival at the campground we checked and was then escorted to our campsite. It was after sunset so that was greatly appreciated. I don't think I would have found my campsite without the help. The staff also brought up a 50 foot fresh water hose and it's a good thing too as my two 25 foot hoses together would have been three feet short. the campsite itself was pretty deep and very wide. One of the nice things about their website is if you click on the campsite it will show you the actual campsite, usually several pictures. My campsite was all gravel, the size of the gravel was on the smaller size. The campsite was no very level from side to side, it was a challenge leveling. There were many seasonals there, but they were well maintained. The store was not well stocked but that might be because it was approaching the end of the season. The campground was very wooded so the campground name fits. Water pressure seemed a bit low. Electricity worked fine, no apparent line sags. The last thing is the interior roads were very tight, trees close to the road edge making traversing them a little difficult. There were also several rocks near the edge of the roadways. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The electric and sewer hook ups were centrally located. the water was located between sites, so one person used about 10' of hose while the other needed at least 45'. The sites were level. the water pressure was very low (28#'s). This is an older park with a lot of overhanging branches and very tight turns for larger rigs. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is my second weekend stay here and I will be back. I took advantage of the new "virtual full hook-up" and it worked well. I was able to use a site that did not have sewer, which expanded my possibilities. They do not have a lot of sites with sewer hook-ups, I imagine because the place is built on rock. They come around daily to take gray water and on Sunday to empty both gray and black tanks. This went off without a hitch.

The campground is in the woods. The sites were decent size and gravel. Hook-ups were well-placed. There is no WiFi, but I had no trouble using 3G, and in fact is was as quick as the WiFi in my house for my usual Internet surfing. The site and campground in general were quite clean. It is fairly quiet and relaxing.

The only con was the shower, which is very low flow and makes showering quite lengthy and unenjoyable. Attention campgrounds! It takes a certain amount of water to rinse. You can low flow it or you can low pressure it, you can have faucets that constantly need to be turned back on throughout the shower, but it's still going to take the same amount of water to rinse my hair!!!

I will be returning here. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Probably not a campground for Big Rigs. Roads are twisty and somewhat narrow. I was in a 27' Motorhome and had no problem. The sites without sewer seem in general to be bigger and nicer.

This CG has the friendliest owners and seasonal campers of any private CG we've ever been to. It's the only private CG we go to. It's a peaceful happy place that we hate to leave. Everyone you see says hi. It's sites are wooded on stone roads it has a small pond for fishing and a large pool staffed with a lifeguard. Ice cream at the store is awesome. There's a couple trails including one that is about 2 miles to St. Peter's where you can play old pinball machines in a retro pinball arcade. Warwick Woods is certainly in the woods. The sites are scattered up and down a hill that is in the woods. We had to have a lead car take us to our site in order to find it. The desk clerk gave us hints about the tight turns and trees so we got through without any problems. Fortunately, the site was very level and all the hookups worked just fine.

The campground was very busy on the weekend but there was never any noise or loss of privacy. We were there for six nights so we could see the differences from mid-week to the weekend. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 9 nights, as it was very central to the places we wanted to see: Philadelphia, Lancaster County (Amish country and covered bridges, Valley Forge). It's a little distant from Gettysburg (2 hr. drive). The campsite is very wooded and large and there are very many seasonal campers here who leave their RVs year round (each are decorated as '2nd' homes). We were unable to get good cell phone (Verizon) reception, our satellite could not connect due to the trees, there was no cable, but we did get good local TV service with our antenna. If we drove to the office, we were able to use their Wi-Fi as our cell phone hotspots didn't work at the site. The staff is very friendly and gave us good advice, such as take the train and not drive into Philadelphia. There are no drive-through spaces with full hookups, and we had 30 amps, but we found that this was sufficient for us (we prefer 50 amps). We enjoyed our stay here and got the real camping experience sitting by the campfire. There was no outside grill so be sure to bring your own. Though we didn't use the Recreation Hall, the pool, and other gathering places, this campground offers many recreational facilities for families. We would recommend this place to others, and would gladly stay here again if we return to the area. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the train ($1.00 for seniors if you show your ID or Medicare card) at the Exton depot (ask staff for directions) to Philadelphia; get off at Jefferson Station to see Independence Hall and other historic sites; use City bus service (catch the Phlash line) around Philadelphia (free for seniors).

This is the type of place that is true camping, there is not a spot open enough to use our dish, it was very difficult to drive my coach through the camp because of the trees, a lot of trees, and it only had 30 amp sites, nothing with 50 amp, there is no Wi-Fi, but they said they are looking to change that next year.Verizon does not work at the campground at all. The staff was very helpful, they went out of their way to make us comfortable. In the future, I will try to look into a place in which I can use my the dish, if need be. Well kept campground. Friendly staff. Was told antenna would pickup up 1 or 2 channels, found over 20. Trade off was no wi-fi up the hill from rec hall/pool. Abundant shade and roomy sites. 15 miles from Shady Maple store and restaurant. An Amish country must do! We would stay here again. Passport America Rate. Overall Rating:

We travel in a 36 ft. RV. So this rating is based on that. If you have kids and have a trailer, smaller RV or tent then the rating would be much higher. This is a very wooded campground with great boulders mixed throughout the well spaced sites. Lots of activities for the kids and a great pool area, next to a fun rec hall, volleyball, etc. I would highly suggest this campground for a family. The restrooms are a little dated, but clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We had 30 amp which was stronger than some 50 amp we have seen. There is no sewer hookups but a honey cart comes around 3 times a week, at no extra charge. If you have a larger rig, just let the office know before you come to see if they could accommodate you. The price reflects a weekly Passport rate. Lots of room to walk the dogs, Sprint phone spotty/Hot Spot worked well. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice place in the hills of Berks County, not too far off the PA turnpike. Nice wooded sites, things were generally clean and neat. Seasonals are mixed in with weekender sites, so less of an "us & them" feeling. Nice clean pools (adult & kiddie), pool bathrooms decent, but didn't use CG bathhouse. Good cell phone reception (AT&T) but Wi-Fi only at the lodge. Would definitely stay here again. (In fact, already planning to.) We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. Friendly staff. Roads throughout the park on the small side so could be challenging for larger rigs. Many seasonal sites here. Bathrooms were clean, but dated and did not seem to have heat. Would recommend. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This place was a bit pricey for being off season. Only a few sewer sites available: our site did not have sewer. Quite a lot of seasonals but they seemed to be 'true seasonals' without too many tacky lawn ornaments. Someone that lives down the road a bit seems to have an objection to this cg. Every time they drive down the road they blow an EXTREMELY LOUD, obnoxious air horn from their truck at any hour of the day. May return to this cg but there are others available nearby that are less expensive. Bath house has NO HEAT so remember this in the spring/fall chilly weather! Bathroom was not clean but not exceptionally dirty either. Maybe I visited just before cleaning time? We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice place to stay. Staff is friendly, pool is great. We brought our dog and hiked the trails and went to St. Peters to climb on the rocks. Everyone had a good time. A little tricky backing our 30' into the campsite, but once we were in, it was a good size. We camped at Warwick Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.
