We stayed here for 2 nights, midweek. We found our site #104 to be everything we need for a short layover. We used the laundry and found it very clean and easily accessible. One thing that impressed us the most was the handicap ramp at the pool. We are full-timers and have rarely found a cg with this accessibility for someone who needs that kind of access. We firmly believe the cg is worth the cost and totally disagree with previous review. Yes, there are many permanent residents, but compared to other campgrounds in the area, our site gave us plenty of pull-through space for our 40' MH with full-size truck. We would definitely return; went into Presque Isle State Park for sunset boat tour and found this cg met all our needs! We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This place has terrible interior roads, skinny with sharp 90 degree turns into muddy, gravel sites separated by muddy grass. Impossible to get a big rig into sites without driving over mushy, muddy, grass, I almost got my 40' MH stuck, rear wheels spinning and digging big ruts in the mud. Many utility posts appeared to have been hit by rigs and were leaning. Many sites looked way off level too. They offer propane but when I requested it, the staffer said the guy who does that was not available that day. Baths are dated, but were clean. Not much to do in Erie but visit Presque Isle State Park. We will not return. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

This is a mix of long term residents and one nighters. Many of the long term sites also have a boat on a trailer. Based on the number of residents leaving before 6 am, many must have jobs.

The bathrooms are very dated, peeling paint and wet floors. They seemed to be clean. Nice camp store but they were out the door at 6 pm. Five minutes after my arrival.

The overnight area was fairly empty so there was some space between units. Previous reviewers are correct in that during busy times we may have bump out issues. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Travel Trailer.

The park is nearby the Interstate. We stayed here only one night. The pool was ok. The laundromat was reasonably priced. The staff was very nice. the WiFi signal was good. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

An older CG with easy access to I-90. Fuel right at exit, but cheaper a couple of exits east. Pulled in for 1 night without a reservation. Staff was friendly and courteous. A decently stocked store in the office building. Pull through with W/E/S. Services worked well. Water had a heavy chlorine smell, but filter dealt with it fine. Site was gravel and pretty level. Plenty long enough. Overnight (and most sites) very close together with just enough room for slideouts. No dedicated pet area. Price reflects off season and seemed a bit high, but very few empty sites attests to the fact that it is not out of line for the area. We would stay here again, but wouldn't drive extra to do it. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

Convenient location, roomy sites, very helpful staff. They were especially helpful after my coach broke down. I would visit here again. Easy access to the State Park. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

Mostly permanent campsites, in very poor condition. Junk everywhere

on those sites. Very narrow sites, gravel and grass. Very muddy, no

paved roads. A few overnight sites so close to each other that it

seemed that the slides were touching. We checked it, drove into the

sites, were very dismayed at the conditions, and left to find another

campground. GoodSam gave high marks, but I was so perplexed at

how this could have been that I have lost all respect for the

GoodSam ratings system. Worst RV campground I have ever seen. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

Tent sites were small, muddy, not private. Our bathhouse had one shower, one sink, and one toilet. No immediate access to water. Quiet hours were not enforced. Visitors were very loud entering after hours, drunk, using very profane language, had a dog running loose. Took several phone calls from several campers before they were asked to leave twice. Definitely will not stay again. Usual campground was booked full. Needs maintenance due to mud and ruts in the roadway. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Tent.

We stayed here for four nights because of the location near family. Park office personnel were friendly. Park itself needs work. Most sites are now overgrown with little gravel and not level. With all the recent rain, site was very wet which makes for muddy tires and feet. This is the first time in two years we have had to use wood under a tire to level. Many very old permanent units. Park has WiFi but it is very slow. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

The camp staff was friendly. The pool was really nice and had plenty of shallow areas for kids to play in. The play ground was very limited. The overall appearance of the park had a run down look. Our spot (#5) was a grassy spot. It was level from side to side but leaned forward. The wireless internet had a strong signal. It was very quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed during July 4th weekend. It was a wet week in the area, which left the site in very poor condition with ruts and extremely muddy. Site size is very long, but very tight in width. Set up facing one trailer and back to the back of another. With more rain during the weekend, the ground could not absorb and became more muddy. Had to lock in 4 wheel when driving on site. Location of campground is a close drive to Erie Zoo and Presque Isle. If in the area again would look to camp elsewhere. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Fifth Wheel.

We pulled in, paid for one night, then could not get into our site. Was told it was a gravel pad, but it was complete grass, and it was pouring rain, and the ground was super soft. The bathrooms were bad. We turned around and left. We did not even stay. Would never return. Staff was of no help. Said there was gravel at one point, but the grass just grew up over it all. Appeared everyone there was living there fulltime except maybe two. Horrible. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant and helpful lady in office. Gave us several maps with our site seeing routes highlighted to make it easier for us. Terrible weather, and the site we were given was a little soggy. Owner came and talked to us and offered us any site that would be easier for us, but we kept the one we were at. We didn't have any problem when leaving, but if we had, the owner said he would help us if we needed him, and I do believe he would have! Campground is a work in progress, lots more work to do, but you can see they are trying to make things 100%! We would most definitely stay here again, if in the area!!! We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

This is a good place to stay if you need an overnight spot close to the freeway. It would not be a place I would use as a destination for a week or so. It is an older campground and does not have many amenities for families. It was a good spot for us to stay overnight on a trip down Interstate 90. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.

Good overnight stop. Fairly basic as other reviews have mentioned, but it was pleasant and we felt safe. Nice little store associated with the office. We would stop here again when passing through. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Motorhome.
