This is a perfectly charming park. Not very many short term sites, but the ones they have are very nice. They all have paver patios and picnic table. There is a fire ring at the sites as well. The management was very helpful and pleasant. We had to maneuver around a bit to finally get level. No issues with utilities. Wifi was new and spotty at best. Clear view for satellite. We would stay here again. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.

I stayed 10 days at this park and was very pleased with the location and the care given to make the park pleasing to the eye. The owners were very accommodating to work scheduling with as I was willing to be flexible also. The sites have very nice and large paved patios. I highly recommend the park for one night or longer term stays. I have been a full time RVer for 15 years and this is one of my favorite parks. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The campground is very easy access from I-90. The campground driveway is paved with the remaining roads and sites gravel. The paved portion is slightly larger than one lane and has three large speedbumps within the space of 100 yards. The back portion of the campground appears to be mostly park models and permanent or semi-permanent trailers. The front portion of the campground is a row of pull-throughs with back-in sites around the perimeter. There had been significant rain prior to our arrival and although the gravel road and site were dry enough, everything else was quite muddy. In speaking with the owner, he indicated they had not been able to add additional gravel due to persistent rain but were planning to do that as soon as possible. We drive a 45 foot MH with a tow and were able to navigate into, through, and out of the CG. Roads are a bit on the narrow side for our rig and getting out of the site took slow and careful navigation but I think they would be adequate for something a bit smaller. The sites are a gravel surface with a small patio with pavers and flowers. They are quite close with a small strip of grass in between. There are many young trees in this area as well. The utilities are placed mid site and worked well. The Wi-Fi did not really work for us, it appears as if we connected but the service was too slow for making connections. Our Verizon hot-spot was adequate for gentle internet surfing. We did not use the rest rooms, laundry, or cable so cannot comment on that. There is no defined park park but there is a nice area in the front where people were walking their dogs. When calling to register you speak personally with the owner. When I first called she was unable to take my call but did call me back later in the day. The owners were friendly and helpful. Although the CG is quite close to the highway, it is very quiet and peaceful. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for several days. This is a privately owned campground that is part of a "seasonal" trailer park. The transient camping area is about 100 yards from Hwy 832. There is some traffic noise, but it isn't bad. I-90 is approximately 3/4 mile away. The park is undergoing some aesthetic improvements like new patios. The sites need some leveling. The utility pedestals by the pond appear to be new. We stayed on a back-in site next to a pond with views of nice sunsets. Sites could use some more gravel as recent rains made things a bit muddy. Strangely, we had to share hookups with someone else who was parked in the field about 8 ft. from us. I would stay here again but would not want to share my hookups. Several large speed bumps as you enter campground. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.

Due to wet weather during our stay, mud everywhere. They are putting in cement block patios, and when all the work is done it will be very nice - and a lot less mud I am sure. Manager was very friendly and helpful. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.

Older park with a lot of permanent sites. Good for an overnight stop off I-90. No cable. Wifi was slow. Water pressure problematic during peak times. Very nice office staff. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second year we have stayed here. The park owners have made significant improvements every year since they have owned it. Many of their sites are permanent or seasonal but the continue to add new RV sites. You won't be disappointed in your stay. Say hi for us when you stop by! We found this campsite while on our way to Niagara Falls and needed a place for over night. We were placed beside the pond in a level grassy site, with a beautiful sunset. There was no cable, but power and water pressure were excellent. Also excellent was the host. We received a recommendation for a restaurant in Niagara that was everything he said it was. Thank you for that. We did not use the showers or laundry. The campsite is a bit off the Interstate, but it was worth the couple mile drive. This site is on our saved list. We will return if ever in the area again. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at West Haven while visiting family in Erie. We checked in and were escorted to our site and help setting up was offered, which we appreciated but did not need. The site was a long pull through with plenty of room front and back. Water and electric service was satisfactory, especially during a warm spell, and with no shade at our site made the A/C run a lot. No cable so only local channels over the air. We did hear the highway noise (I-90) at night. The pool was not open yet.

West Haven used to be a trailer park only which the owners are trying to make it known for RV visitors as well. They were building up new sites during our visit, nearly doubling the capacity for RVs. It is a bare bones campground, no frills. Although the staff, Don & Jodie, are very nice and willing to help out in anyway possible. We did extend for another weekend to enjoy the Lake Erie Wine Country Tour! If we stay in the area again we would consider staying again at West Haven. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly folks! Park needs some work. Pool had a constant leak. We lost water for a few hours because a pipe broke. Pull-throughs were kind of minimum. A stretch of grass/gravel with a small area for your picnic table. We had great neighbors so wasn't an issue. On the positive side, the Wi-Fi was the BEST! Owners are trying their best to keep up with park. I might stay again if in area. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.

Hosts very nice, helpful on places to eat, area hot spots, and general information. Exceptional access off I-90. Within 1/2 mile of exit. Good Sam club member. Pull-through site close quarters, and ours had a "shared" sewer. 1st for me. Had to dump as needed and the site next to us did the same thing into the same sewer connection. Site wet from rains in area, stayed wet for stay. Wi-Fi excellent. Gravel drive and sites Pool not open when arriving, opened next day but level was 6" below recirculating returns so floating debris stayed in pool. Only 5 deck chairs and no shade, which may have been due to it being the 1st day of summer and pool had not been used for the season. Water line broke to campground and was repaired later that day. Over 75% were permanent sites. If DirecTV line of site important need to state up front, most sites are in shady area. Not a bad overnight, extended stay not so much if pool is important. We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.
