If this park wasn't almost 10 miles I would give it a 9, and if it had been mowed, a 10. Good OTA TV channels, electric and good water pressure. We didn't have sewer at our site, but there are 3-4 dump stations very conveniently located as you leave the park....or I read they have a honey wagon that comes twice a week. There were a lot of amenities, but the pool was closed when we got there. The lot we had wasn't officially a pull through, but we pulled into one to get to our lot, and the lot was huge. It's very pretty there. There is a weak looking bridge you have to drive over with your rig to get to your sites, but the clerk assured me that big rigs do it every day. It was very quiet at night, even though we crossed over a train track close to the park. Pretty trees and a nice little store too. Looks like a place we might come back to and stay if we weren't in a hurry to get home. Lots to do if you have kids. Wifi was weird...worked for a short while then you would have to pay. Even when adding site and password it kept saying OOPS when we tried to get back on. New picnic tables were nice. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this park to be a really nice place especially for campers with kids. There is a creek that all the kids loved to tube down. Plenty of activities, mini golf, large pool, hay rides and music on Saturday night. The store is very nice and fully stocked with lots of things a camper might need. Hand dipped ice cream! The only issue you should be aware of is if there is a lot of rain, the campground will flood in spots and be very muddy and soggy in others. We have almost 4 inches of rain on Friday night Our site seemed to weather it well but others had puddles that lasted through Sunday. Some of the tent campers had to vacate their spots and others got stranded by water surrounding their tents. There are a lot of seasonal campers here too. Most sites are water and electric. A honey wagon will pump you out for about $13. There are few 50 amp sites. Its a really great location in spite of the rain issues. I'm sure we will be back! We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are into hiking, the Appalachian trail is just a few short miles in either direction from the campground. Michaux State Forest, Pine Grove Furnace State Park and the Appalachian Trail Museum is just down the road about 4 miles. Laurel Lake and Fuller Lake are there too.

Nice park, everything worked as advertised. Grass site by the river was W/E only but they do have a pump-out service. Pump out service twice a week. I think it was $13. Site was grass, level, and huge! Campground was very full with several groups arranging their rv's to set up party areas. I loved it and made some new friends but others may like a little more privacy and quiet. Once the weekend was over things really calmed down.

One warning: the bridge over the creek scared most of us with large motorhomes. There are no signs about weight rating and I almost wasn't going to cross it. I spoke to two other families in large class A's and they said the same thing. Would help if there was at the bridge advising about weight rating. Nice store, pool, and mini-golf. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Spacious, friendly staff, and quiet. We were here November 1, 2017, so the Fall colours surrounded us. Close to Gettysburg. Camp staff were super helpful in advising how and where to get started in our exploration of Gettysburg. Totally loved this campground. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the town of Gettysburg. Take either the 2-CD audio driving tour of the Military Park or grab one of the bus tours. Hundreds of monuments, statues, plaques, and markers. The CD's explain the entire battle. Also, go to the diorama, the US's largest diorama of the Civil War. Also, be sure to check out Farnworth Inn (where you can get the CD's for the tour) and the adjacent Sweeney's Tavern. Both are absolutely 18th century buildings you will fall in love with.

Large park with an obvious following. The weekend we were there it was packed. We were given one of the last sites available for our size rig. Services were on the wrong side so we had to get closer to our neighbours than we like; no room for picnic table. Site was level, no problems backing in. Did not have sewer but the park had an excellent dump station.
There are some really nice sites for those who plan more in advance than we did.
Park is a nice 30 minute drive from Gettysburg. Lots of orchards & markets along the way. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This is one of the busiest parks we have ever stayed in. There are more children than we've ever seen in an RV park. That is probably due to the fact that they have children activities every weekend of the summer. We were given a slot for one night on a Friday even though they required three night minimum. And we had to except 30 amp since they were so full. The park was quiet even with all the campers. Easy access to the park and very handy to Gettysburg. Well-kept park with every amenity a child could want. And they really pack the campers in. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

A difficult campsite to rate as parts are really good and others lacking. There is a really large and lovely pool and crazy golf. Check in girl was really helpful and friendly. It's a large campsite with gravel and grass sites that need some maintenance and would be cozy if the campsite was full but during our stay it is quiet and we have plenty of space. Picnic tables at each site but most are warped but they do seem to be in the process of refurbishing them. The main downside is, if needed there is a lack of showers and restrooms for such a large site. There are a few "porta-potties"scattered around and a couple of shower/restrooms "blocks" Wifi was good considering distance from office although it kept "dropping out" and having to re-enter password which was annoying. Our main reason for staying here was to visit Gettysburg which is just a 20 minutes drive. We would recommend. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed just over a week and got a great weekly rate. I asked about wifi when booking and was told they had wifi at the campsites, they don't. They only have wifi at the clubhouse on the outside deck and they didn't leave the lights on at night so I never felt comfortable sitting up there to use it. The sites were pretty clean but the dumpster was constantly overflowing. The camp grounds were pretty and you couldn't beat the mountain views. The ground is gated which was nice. The roads to get there are a bit narrow. They have lots to do during the weekends but it was very quiet and pretty dead during the week. The 'stocked' fishing stream was not stocked. When I would call the front desk seemed every time I would get the same teenager who would giggle and answer 'I don't know' to all my questions. Very unprofessional. The campground is a bit in the middle of nowhere and decent drive to Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Hershey and more. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Loved it. We stayed in the overflow area, so when the other campers left we had a huge area to ourselves. I could see how maybe it could be noisy down in the cg, but it was quite where we were. Lots of activities & amenities were available for any family members. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

we have been going here since 2004. Now under new owners we noticed the rates have gone up continuously. We always get a stream site so its only water and electric. They have made many improvements in the campground. But the price for our site reflects that of a 3way. It's only this and the fact that smoking on the grounds is allowed and we do not tolerate smoking very well. These are the only two reasons for the grades I marked. otherwise it would have been 10's all the way. They have hand dipped ice cream and fire rings. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here for a Halloween Themed weekend. The campground had activities scheduled, which is great. They were site decorating contest, pumpkin carving contest, trick or treating, hay ride, and a haunted house, all which were free with your payment to the campground. There seem to be a lot of seasonal sites, so we were placed in the overflow area (a group of 4 campers), which was OK. The overflow area is mainly grass, it had rained heavily the night before, so our area was quite flooded. There is also no sewer in the overflow area; which isn't really a problem, as they do have a dump station. But the water and electric hookups were not on the correct side, so you might need an extra hose or longer electric hook up. The campground is decent, staff is friendly, we had a nice time. They offer free Wi-Fi, but the connection is not great, and I could not get good cell service either. My only real complaint is the dump station itself. While they have 3 lanes, which I found very nice, the water connection that is there, is not a regular hose, so you can not hook it up to your water connector to rinse and fill up your tanks for through cleaning. We were only able to use this water hookup to fill up the fresh tank, and use that water to re-rinse our tanks. It is not an ideal setup. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We camped over a holiday weekend, and trailers were crammed in everywhere. They must have squeezed in extra sites, and the numbered sites were poorly delineated so that people parked all over the place, giving a very messy appearance. WiFi didn't work. Sites were muddy and flooded when it rained. Gravel on the roads was loose and large, making bike-riding impossible. Bath houses were inadequate for the number of campers, and the fixtures were so old they appeared dirty even when possibly clean. No showers by the pool. Security was great - gated access. Snack bar, store and activities were excellent. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Had a great time, Kids didn't want to leave. Staff was friendly and helpful. Noticed lots of upgrades and more activities for the kids since last year made more reservations before i left. Would have been a 10 if not for the roots on the site though the shade was nice. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Motorhome.
